We love talking to him every time my bf and I want to get a sweet treat! What makes Rice Culture a lot better than other taiyaki places is their ability to make them fresh and hot and their incorporation of different and new flavors. I appreciate that they do try to update their menu based on customer feedback. Their ube custard taiyaki are ube sweet, carb-y ingots. They are best freshly made though it takes about 15-20 minutes to make (good things are worth the wait). Solid location to get a sweet treat after a Costco trip or lunch.

They have some great monthly flavors right now, and we tried a bit of everything: Swirl-ipino Split (Ube & Pandan Banana): The ube was perfectly sweet, and while the pandan banana pudding had a super strong banana taste, it was amazing mixed together. --Samples: The matcha is dark, rich, and beautifully bitter, while the strawchee is incredibly bright and refreshing. Taiyaki: We did the buy 4, get 2 free deal to try all six flavors. I love that there's an option for them to bake them fresh to order instead of pulling them off a warming rack! Red bean and custard were our favorites. The only downside is that the breading is a bit overwhelming, so the dough flavor kind of drowns out the fillings, even though they ooze out and get messy. I would not recommend the oreo one as it's just bread with 2 oreos. It's not worth it, in my opinion! As a fun bonus, they have board games on the tables--my nephew and I enjoyed playing Incohearent while eating our treats! :)

The interior has a…read moreretro-ish vibe filled with many pictures of kids that I found a bit creepy, so I tried to ignore them. Each day, they offer the typical vanilla and chocolate custard options along with a daily special. You can also top your custard with variety of toppings like crushed Oreos. I got a KID SCOOP (3.50) of chocolate custard that was creamy, but missing a lot of depth and overall flavor. It wasn't very rich and not velvety smooth. Despite the unbeatable pricing, I'm unsure if I would be back for another. One of my friends tried the daily special flavor, which was a Snickers-based custard, aka vanilla custard with snickers mixed in. The snickers topping was really hard and stuck in my tooth like a nougat in an unpleasant way. Unfortunately, we were not the biggest fan.

Getting such a nice greeting puts a smile on one's face as does yummy frozen custard. Today we had the chocolate chip cookie dough which was smooth and creamy and just the right amount of sweet with a crunch cone. It's really fun to look at the monthly calendar and see what will be coming in the days ahead. The location is very clean with plenty of seating and lots of parking in the big lot right out front.

My wife really wanted cookies the other night so we decided on here because it was closest. It was a tad hard to find at first because it's inside the SoftSpot and doesn't have any signage or branding anywhere outside the building. It was super busy for a Saturday evening but they also serve fancy hot chocolate so it made sense why it was busy. The cookies themselves were very very good. We ordered the red velvet, cookies and cream, s'mores, triple chocolate, and one other basic cookie. The cookies and cream, red velvet, and s'mores were all premium cookies and much better than the normal ones. Highly recommend those 3. We wanted the Reese's cookie but they didn't have any already baked so we would have had to wait an additional 15 mins so we went with the red velvet instead. You can also order cookies to be fresh baked but it says it'll take about 20-25 mins for that. The service was super friendly and helpful. My wife also really just wanted a cup of the whipped cream and the employee was super kind and gave her one. The restaurant has a decent amount of seating but felt cramped due to the volume of people inside on Saturday night.

First, we had the best service and they accommodated our speed and style of dining. Tried multiple dishes and desserts. Spicy eggplant stir fried with veggies was delicious and medium spicy was not very spicy. Tom Yum fried rice with shrimp was very seasoned with the right amount of spicy. Pad Thai with beef had the best noodles, perfectly chewy. Slightly on the sweet side, but very addictive. Good portions Papaya salad was very fresh and tasty. Inside was crowded for lunch, but the patio was empty. Patio was lovely today, beautiful weather. Mango with sticky rice and coconut custard was one of the best desserts we had in a long time. Definitely getting this again. The Thai Coffee with crème brûlée was smooth and creamy, very satisfying.
