    Wonton Soup very good.
    Don P.

Pleasant stop for a quick in and out late lunch when shopping the Kittery Outlets in Maine. Service and hospitality was exemplary; the onlong tea was a welcome surprise on a cold rainy day . The wonton soup was very good with a variety of fresh vegetables and three wontons. I prefer the lighter style broth but this was actually very good. The Szechaun chicken was tasty with a nice spice kick and generous assortment of vegetables. I never order chicken fingers, they just never have interested me but they came with the dish and were surprisingly good. The one disappointment was the fried rice it was lacking flavor, no bean sprouts or egg with very little pork. It wasn't horrible, it just needed quite a bit of work to be elevated to where it should be. Still in all everything else was done very well.

Pork fried rice, pu pu platter, veggie chow mein.
    Barbara H.

Not the absolute worst place I've been but it's definitely not worth going to again. You know it's bad when then best food is the fortune cookie. Even the chow mein crispy noodles were stale. Egg roll and crab Rangoon were decent. Responding to owners comments- the food was hot when I tried to eat it. Thx

Upon our arrival , we were seated immediately and welcomed by our friendly server, Conner. Our family always welcomes the opportunity to try a new dim sum restaurant. Empire Chinese Kitchen delivers in all areas with exceptional service, quality food and a nice casual atmosphere.

We came in on Saturday night knowing we would have to wait so we went to the bar. They had a special cocktail that night and it was so good I wish I could remember what it was called but you have to try whatever their specialty drink of the night is. Since we had a large party we ordered a lot because everything sounds so good so we did a bunch of Dim Sum and a few mans as well. We went with: Empire Eggrolls Lobster Rangoons Char Siu Baos Spicy Pork Belly Buns Pork Potsticks Shanghai Soup Dumplings Shu Mai Curry Udon Kung Pao Chicken Honestly everything was great but the stand outs for me were the Lobster Rangoons, Char Siu Baos, Pork Potsticks, Curry Udon, and the Kung Pao Chicken. First of Lobster Rangoons I mean how do you not. Portland Maine being Lobster Paradise this just makes sense and is a must try staple here. Just takes your normal Chinese Crab Rangoon to the next level. The Char Siu Baos where the best BBQ Pork Bun I have ever had. I know these can be hit or miss sometimes but Empire it doing it right truly the best I have had. The Pork Potsticks were also great. A top 3 dumpling I have had. I honestly wasn't expecting much but these were amazing. The Curry Udon was kind of a funny story. I said we should try this and my friends like me know it was vegan but for once that didn't bother me. This was great and so full of flavor. Plus you can't go wrong with Udon. Kung Pao Chicken is always my go to and this one takes the cake. The Chicken is lighty battered and so full of flavor. One of the best I have ever had. Honestly you can't go wrong with anything we had at Empire Chinese and I would 100% go back and do it all again. I'll end this review the way we started dinner. Lobsta Goooooonnnnsss!

The restaurant is small, relatively quiet and decorated nicely. The service was very friendly. The menu seems to be very focused, showcasing a handful of shareable plates, vegetarian items, rice/noodle dishes and entrees with authentic Szechuan flavors. Boyfriend got spicy noodles and I got braised beef noodles. We also got a side of their homemade chili oil, and in response to this the server asked us if we wanted our meals to be extra spicy. How could we turn that offer down? As soon as that bowl of noodle soup came out, I knew I was in for a great meal. It smelled intoxicating. It was the angriest shade of red possible, which is exactly what I like to see when I'm eating something supremely spicy. The broth and chili oil were both full of flavor, the beef was tender and the noodles had a delightfully chewy texture. Taking everything into account, Sichuan Kitchen served me one of the most memorable dishes I've ever had. There's really no other way to put it. If you're in the area and you find yourself craving the authentic numbing spicy flavors of Szechuan Chinese food, Sichuan Kitchen is the answer.

The interior is pleasant with decorative paper lanterns on the ceiling giving the impression of "pillowy clouds". My two sons enjoyed the Zhong Dumplings (delicious mix of sweet and savory), which was the highlight of the meal. We also had 2 orders of the soup noodles with minced pork and 1 order of the braised beef noodles. A dish we shared was the fried green beans (which was very tasty). However, the soup dishes were slightly too salty. Also, the quantity of beef was slightly less than I had expected. That said, the service was attentive, and excellent (before the 6pm rush). Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would dine here again.

Where am I suppose to go for BBQ Pork Buns / Char Siu Bao buns ?…read more I posed this question in the Worcester FB group and most of them pointed me towards this restaurant. I've previously eaten here a few times, but I've never managed to stop by early enough for their Dim Sum lunch until now. As a side note, I cannot believe Worcester doesn't have ANY restaurants that serve these buns? Sounds like some enterprising individual needs to fulfill this void. I normally drive all the way to Joyful Garden in Watertown when I have a Dim Sum craving. Other times I will already be wandering through Boston before I stop by Hei La Moon. I came here with the expectation that I will get the same quality foods. This place has got a pretty darn big parking lot. I'm not going to count every spot on Google Maps, but it's about 50 spots. So it should not be hard to park. Walking inside, I was quickly greeted by the wait staff and directed to my table. I'm no interior design expert, so I will candidly say that the decor totally yells 'very Chinese' and elegant. I don't know man, just look at the interior pictures and you'll understand what I mean. If you've never done Dim Sum before, it can be very overwhelming. Someone with a cart will come by and you'll have several seconds to process what's available and say "Yes" or "No" through a variety of dishes they point at. And then before you can recover, another staff member will come by with another cart with towers of steaming baskets and you go through the song and dance again. I kid you not, in the average Dim Sum experience you will sit down and then have a table full of food literally within a few minutes. Before I knew it, I had 3 plates and 3 baskets on my table. The verdict? Totally delicious. I'm not going to talk about every dish I got and wax poetic one by one. I don't have time for that, and if you've been to one Dim Sum place, then you've been to all of them. I will give a few shoutouts for the sake populating this review with important keywords. Char Siu Bao bun / Baked BBQ Pork bun ; this is my favorite dish and precisely the reason why I came in. The bread is so light and the pork filling is so delicious sweet and savory. I'm in heaven Chicken Feet ; actually, I will note that the chicken feet here are not as flavorful as other places I've been to. This is a small nitpick because it still firmly lands in the delicious spectrum. It's the difference between scoring an A and an A- Random Pork Bun ; ??? I cannot find it on the menu, but I chose a set of 3 buns that were filled with pork. The bun style was closely similar to the chewy glutinous sesame balls and they were filled more yummy pork. I've never eaten these before. Shiu Mai ; holy sh** these are the biggest Shiu Mai I've ever eaten. I had an awesome experience here and I recommend it anyone in the area to give this place a shot if they don't want to drive all the way to Malden/Watertown/Boston/Quincy.

Typically, you are quickly seated with the server checking in immediately and providing hot tea for the table. This is based on 3 recent visits, and weighted by the last visit which was a disappointment. The neon lights outside beckon you to come in. It's a brightly lit dining room with round tables typical a large Dim Sum restaurant in Boston. Perhaps a little too bright, but there is typically a table available. It offers late dining which is great. The food is certainly very good typically with good sized portions at a good value. The pan friend dumplings a large, tender and a great value. The Hunan and Sichuan dishes provide healthy portions. Definitely very good Chinese food for the area. It is typically served quickly and very hot. The service has been mixed. On a not so busy night, we felt ignored. It took a long time to get drinks (arriving with the food in one case) on one occasion.

So after looking up local Chinese joints to eat at, Dynasty popped up. They also offer street parking so that is what sold me on this joint. Considering Boston's Chinatown looks pretty run down, you should never judge a book by it's cover. Walking in, this joint is really bright and clean. The young man working the register greeted us and got my daughter and I a table. The big list of food items was dropped off and we were ready to get the party started! We ordered a handful of things! It's been a while since we have had dim sum so we were ready to put in work. Our food was starting to slowly trickle out. We started off with the congee. It came out pretty fast since it was probably made earlier waiting to be served. Shortly after the rest of our dumplings were making their way to our table. The congee was simple, savory and comforting. It tasted like my childhood. The fried shrimp rolls were tasty, crispy and savory. I have had similar fried shrimp dumplings like this served with a sauce similar to walnut shrimp. That sauce would have been killer with these rolls. The long rice noodles were silky and filled with char sui. The sauce was more vinegar than sweet which is how I have normally had it. Still good! Har gaw and shu mai were fabulous once they dropped off soy and chili oil to dip them in. The turnip cake will always be one of my favorites. My daughter enjoyed the soup dumplings and the rice in lotus leaf. I was too full to try them. Customer service was ok. They got you what you needed but not a lot of exchange in conversation. I feel like most dim sum experiences are like that. The food was so good! I enjoyed every bit of it with my daughter. Parking might be free but very limited and challenging to find. I'm still happy we got to check this joint out and have a great meal here!

We stopped in for dinner and got: - "Pan-fried" Peking raviolis - Beef with ginger and scallion hotpot. First, the raviolis came out deep-fried, not pan-fried. Which is fine, but there is a difference and should be reflected on the menu. They were good, but being fully fried, the texture is different from a pan-fried dumpling. Next, the beef hotpot. It came out in a sizzling bowl. It was a large portion of beef, mushrooms, and vegetables (mostly onion). The flavor was okay. Certainly nothing offensive, and it was good, although a bit oily, but it was lacking an OOMPH. I wish it had more ginger flavor. Or maybe fermented black bean - that would have kicked it up a notch. There are actually two separate spaces here: 1 is the dining area, and 1 is a bar and lounge. Both spaces can order the full menu. The dining space was clean and casual. The staff working there were very nice and super friendly. From our experience, it's a middle-of-the-road Chinese restaurant, a place I'd go again but not a place I'd go out of my way for.

It's a tad far from home in North Deering, bit of it's as good as I am hearing, it will be worth the trip. Menu on line was easy to navigate landing me at the "Dinner specials" page. A great variety of, more than some of the other places we've tried and way more than our local Chinese place. I chose the Straw mushroom with snow peas with boneless pork and hubby chose their General Tso chicken with chicken fingers for his appetizer. Both requested the wanton soup which is an upchargw from the other soup offerings. I really like the format for ordering on line with sections for different options like soup, rice, and appetizer. Most places you get the appetizer assigned and charged if you want to change it. Not here, you can choose! Yay! I arrived a few minutes after I was texted my order was ready. Signage was clear and easy to read. Ample parking in the shared parking lot. Upon entering you can see it is a take out centered type restaurant but does offer booth or table seating. It was a busy Saturday night and they had everything operating smoothly. Walked up to counter area and was greeted immediately, gave my phone number and name and my food was presented. Made my payment preference on line which included a tip, made sure to not double tip. Then I was off and running. At home I unpacked the food and was surprised to find the wanton soup was a deep brown color, unusual since most wanton soups are a clear yellow. Large sliced zucchini and carrots accompanied the hand made wanton stars. They had make them with the meat neatly wrapped in dough and remaining dough behind the ball like a shooting star with a tail. WOW! The taste was unique, on the spicy side with a taste of Thai chili sauce swirled in. Very tasty but too hot, my taste buds would have not worked for the rest of my meal. On to the Straw mushroom and snow pea meal with fried rice and boneless pork. Oh My!! So fresh and tasty the peas were numerous as were the mushrooms. Fried rice was excellent as was the boneless pork, it overly cooked and super tender yum! So what are ve heard is true and more. Sadly I could find no delivery options for this establishment so take out it will be.
