Oh Chuck, your wings at one point were little fried wonders of deep fried perfection drenched in an elixir known as Buffalo Sauce. The wings weren't too small, nor were they too big. The Sauce was neither too not, nor was it too mild. The Ambience was dreary, but who really cared when they served up wing after delicious wing. I was a young lad back in the late 80s and had the metabolism to enjoy these wings whenever the budget would allow for it. And enjoy them I did. So with Great Fanfare, I returned, like a devotee going back to the Religious Land. I brought my teenage son, who is already an avid fan of Buffalo Wings. I had returned to Chucks. So some things change and some things don't. Chucks literally looks the same inside as it did in 1986. No parachute pants on this man anymore, but the same interior greeted me. The prices have gone up a lot. Over $1/wing is no bargain, but I plunked down my $15 for 14 wings and we quickly decamped nearby and started to dig in. What had changed were...the wings, or at least my memory of them has changed. The wings were fried reasonably well (but could have been a little crispier). However the real let down in these wings was the sauce. It had a puddle of oil on it, but it lacked that salty, vinegary, spicy flavor that makes your mouth pucker just daydreaming about it. The sauce was not very flavorable and didn't have great mouthfeel. We ate about half the wings and threw the rest away. Never to Chucks will I return.

His buffalo wings are delicious. If you look at the menu, you will find multiple awesome PROMOS. For example, BUY 21 wings GET 14 FREE Monday through Thursday. I never came across such a deal before. I had a chance to order the cheese fries and a lamb gyro platter. The fries was great and extra cheesy. The platter I believe needs some improvement. 1) Size - this is a plus. I had a platter to go and it was a great amount of food per platter. Loved it. 2) Rice - it is a little bit dry and strong of a taste. 3) Protein - the amount of lamb you get per platter is pretty small. It's mostly rice and veggies. Service was pretty basic. I don't know that it was bad but it certainly wasn't extraordinary. My Mom and Aunt both got salads. I got a hot dog plate and a side salad. My Aunt enjoyed her large house salad. My Mom really didn't like her Greek salad. I ended up eating most of it. They were VERY generous with the feta. Maybe too generous. I thought it was fine. I enjoyed my side salad. The hot dog was interesting. As described on the menu, it is two hot dogs, cut in half lengthwise, then griddled, then put on a hoagie roll. It was unusual. Not bad, just different. The hoagie roll was a bit chewier than a standard hot dog bun. The sauerkraut was good. I had asked for mustard too and they brough it on the side. Overall, an OK experience. When it comes to complaints though they're really only minor complaints. The mashed potatoes and gravy could be a bit better as they're mixed together automatically rather than being separated. The main issue isn't them being together but more just the flavor as they're kind of bland and so is the gravy. The coleslaw is average but needs more flavor too. Finally, the rolls are below average as they aren't freshly baked. They're more like a discount version of Hawaiian sweet rolls. Even warmed up or toasted, they have a slightly weird after taste and aren't as good as freshly baked biscuits. In the end, I would still go to Chicken Holiday for a quick bite or a decent catering meal. They give good portions and have a good selection of food to choose from. Check them out whenever you're in or near East Windsor.
