This is one of those places you grew up on and it won't escape your mind. You don't want it to. Eat there with a paramedic on hand. I no longer eat beef, but crave this place. CRAVE. Chuck Wagon USED to be the Best in town, now they are just average. Service is way below average. You can call in an order, then you arrive & pay for it & still wait a ridiculous amount of time! Two out of the last 3 visits found hair in our food. The Chili is not consistent & their Chili used to be the Best in the Valley. If I go to Sanger for any reason, Chuck Wagon is a must stop! In fact, usually any reason I go to Sanger is secondary to Chuck Wagon! Best chili dogs in the valley! My favorite crinkle cut fries are always cooked to perfection. If there is any criticism, it's that the seating is covered outdoor dining and the wonderful smell of the food attracts flies during the summer time. Nothing fancy, ol' fashioned simple style food for once a while. It was one of those Monday's that you felt like having something simple and experimental from the usual suspects (burgers, tacos or pizza). With the help of Yelp I decided to go to this place. When I got there I saw a line already posted outside, was hard to find a space near the building, and that was a good sign that something must be up about this place. It was a small building with seating areas outside and none inside, which was a bummer since it was 102 degrees outside today, not to mention the freaking flies hovering over the area. The menu was fairly simple and not too expensive. Everything was about chili, which exactly what I wanted. I got two orders of Chili Cheese fries, one original and the other with lettuce since I heard it was different and unique in taste. Let me tell you once I bit into that greasy, fatty red sauce with meat it was delicious. My heart skipped a beat and to me that was exactly what I needed. I recommend this place for the Chili (No shit!) and will return again for more Chili Cheese fries this time both with lettuce. I just advise it is really hot even tho it's shaded but the temperature and the flies will really tick you off. So if you're a pansy boy eat in your car, I also advise don't because Chili will seep out of the food and stain your car. Other than that Cheers and enjoy suckers. I rate this place a 4.0 but the seating outside and flies including lowered it to 3.0. read more

We don't get out to Sanger much but when we do it's a tradition to grab a footlong chili dog & fries. Wife & I and our two dogs drive the Blossom Trail and always stop here. Buns are always soft & fresh & their chili & foot long dog are always awesome. This place has been here forever. If you've never been here it's mostly a to-go drive in. There are 4 or 5 picnic tables out back but they're almost always full. They have NO RESTROOMS so rely on your car's hand cleaner. NOTE: great chili dogs but REALLY MESSY to eat so grab twice as many napkins with your order!!! It's all worth it to us! :) read more

And you should get the Frito Chili.. it's so awesome! don't get the fries--- it's not that good.. it's like Ore-Ida fat crinkly fries.. but DO GET THE Fried MUSHROOMS!!! Perfect! I so applaud family-owned places! Yeah!!! What a gem to find in Sanger!
