opens at 5am which already makes Burger Stop and Grill a different kind of spot. early morning burger? yes actually, and it works. been here a few times now and the food is consistently solid. the burgers are straightforward and done well, good meat, good toppings, nothing pretentious about it. the bubble bacon burger they keep posting about is worth ordering. the chopped cheese is also really good if you want something different. the menu has more range than you'd expect, sandwiches, chicken, sides, sundaes. enough variety that you're not stuck with one option and everything I've tried has been reliable. being open until 10pm with that early morning start gives this place a really wide window which is useful for people with all kinds of schedules. located in Fowler which is a quick drive from Fresno and easy to find. prices are budget friendly and the portions are satisfying. this is exactly the kind of local spot that deserves more attention than it gets. nothing flashy, just good food at fair prices from people who clearly take pride in what they're putting out. if you're in the area or passing through on the 99, make the stop. the name isn't misleading. read more

Slow the brakes!!! Today was my second time here but the first time, the gentleman at the cash register said I was gonna love the burger and he wasn't lying!! I mean it has some good flavor, isn't overfilling and they got some great fries to follow up with. The are has a drive-thru followed by a few tables for people to eat at outside of the building. I give this place a 5 because this burger stop is more than just a burger stop and to call it a " hole in the wall " hurts, especially with the caliber for food this place is pushing out. It's gets a 5 for competing with other business and still remaining, and I'm sure it still remains because of that some burger and bun they serve it with. I stopped by to try to coffee stand outside and was going to make a trip into Fowler to get breakfast from a place I use to go to religiously growing up. As I was waiting for my coffee order I seen a couple people already sitting outside eating and some coming in line for the Burger Stop and Grill. I thought maybe I could give it a try and save myself a drive. After I got my drinks from the coffee stand outside, I had went through the drive thru to this place and I ordered 2 bacon, egg & cheese bagels and 1 bacon breakfast burrito. The lady asked if I wanted any sauces I said ketchup, she offered red and green salsa I said yes one of each salsa is fine. I check my bag and there's only the green salsa and ketchup, but it's no big deal. My husband and I open up the food when I get inside and the burrito is dripping in grease from outside the wrapper. The bacon is extremely fatty, flavorless and just overly drenched in grease. It's so greasy and flavorless my husband couldn't even eat it. My bagel was also greasy, bacon was fatty, no flavor. Overall, I am so disappointed because I wanted to stop and bring home something new for us to try and it was just a big let down. They need to definitely cut back on the amount of oil being used, add some seasonings to their food and better quality ingredients could definitely improve it overall. Maybe there is something good on their menu, but the breakfast is definitely a no go in my books. Lesson learned,will not be stopping here again. read more

We were feeling a Burger for dinner, we decided to give this spot a try. Got the double burger with drink and fries!! Added a oreo milkshake. A good portion , the fries are pretty good batter fries!! milkshake was a milkshake yummy !!! the burger was big but lacked flavor. We couldnt taste sauce, meat as if no seasoning was added, it was just a bland burger!! It was a short wait no too bad about 15 min from order to receiving food. We were 2nd car in the drive thru, very very friendly and great service by the young man !!! Its a small place ,slim drive thru but in a good location as there name , Burger stop right of the 99 freeway !! Its pretty much a drive thru with a small seating area !! We had planned to go back to Selma for a burger. There are a couple good spots there. Ended up finding this tiny little burger place right next to the gas station off the 99. The location looks like it might have been a coffee shop at some point. Solid customer service. The food takes a little longer than regular fast food places but it's well worth the wait. The double burger was delicious. Tasted just like a in and out double double but this was about twice the size. The patties are huge and the bun is pretty good. Overall this was a solid choice. The wife had the avacado burger. Tasty but the mistake was asking for lettuce wrapped. The guys said they don't do that but they can put it in a little tray. The lettuce was the shredded kind so it was tough to even pick up the burger. The fries were killer. I would say some of the best around. They are thick but still very crispy. It seems like they have some kind of light batter on them or something. There are many small business burger places and of course the well know big fast food places in this area. I ended up coming back for dinner lol had a double with bacon. Thought the burger was super good! Very meaty and flavorful. The fries were very good too. Super crunchy almost like beer battered fries. Very good! Will be back. Update. Had the philly cheese sandwich.... was not a fan. It wasn't horrible but far from being good enough to order again. Their Burgers really good and fries have some sort of batter (kind of like Deli D kinda) but good as well. The service is great. They are very attentive.
