Okay, so if you HAVE to go to a Chuck E Cheese in the Sacramento area, this would probably be a good bet. It is a bit out of the way being in Roseville and all, but it is newish and the clientele seems fairly normal...but what is "normal" anyway? For those of you who have been spared the agony of Chuck E Cheese, it is like a casino-in-training for the youth set. Because you redeem your $ for tokens (akin to gambling chips!), you can go through them pretty quickly. Be sure to sign up for emails from the big rat (aka Chuckie) so that you can get coupons for tokens. As a rule, I don't recommend eating here. The pizza - although not frozen - is not the best. Eat a healthy meal at home, buy some discount tokens with a coupon and then come out. There are some of the standard race car video games, skeeball (remember that?), mini rides, etc. and then you have the ones where the goal is to get win tickets! One kid was hooked on a game where you fling a token and it lands on a rotating strip of numbers which tells you how many win tickets you get. Mindlessly putting in token after token, the only difference between her and a retiree playing the quarter slots was about 60 years. Tickets can then be redeemed for tchotchkes which keep the factory workers in China busy. Or you can get some sugary candy. Generally speaking, I can only tolerate an hour of this place. Kids seem to love it here though! read more

We reserved a party for more than 20 guest's on Saturday 1-7 5:30-7:30pm and when we arrived table and server were ready. Our attendant was very helpful & was always around . She even sliced the cake for us . She went above and beyond i just can't remember her name , check your shifts and give her some credit. She was helping Armando's table. We were the first ones there for my nieces birthday on a Saturday morning. I was impressed with how clean the store looked being the first ones there. My sister said the pizza actually tasted good this time as well. And they expanded in 10/2012 by adding the old Carpeteria store next door. Filled with more games so that is pretty cool! Knocking off a couple of stores for the horrible urine smell in the co-restroom. It was obviously not used based on the early time of being there and the lack of used paper towells in the trash and yet it smelled like someone peed all over the floor! I don't understand this. We recently relocated here and went to check this location out. The lady at the cashier, Elaina, was very polite and helpful. She helped us with our food choices and gave us a better deal from an online coupon. She was pleasant to speak with and didn't get annoyed by all our questions. It actually wasnt crowded like other locations for a Saturday. One employee was always behind counter when we would walk up to it but didnt seem to be doing anything. She would be helping someone then stop after and not help the next. She would look straight at me each time and not say nothing. Otherwise, not a bad place to take a 5 year old. i absolutely love the new card system they have though. You can pay for # of tickets or gameplay time. We usually spend an hour and run out of tokens, but with us having an hour gameplay, we know we can keep playing and the games tell you how many minutes you have left to play when u scan card at games. I have been to this location a total of 5 times now and of those 5 separate visits have only one single less than stellar opinion of. That one single less than stellar opinion? That would have to be the zombie, miserable, almost scary expressions on the young employees faces. I totally get it, I can not even try and say that I would be any better if I was employed by the mouse. People suck. I know that. Still, it does put a bit of a damper on the over all experience. That said let's move on... The atmosphere is carnival-ish slash arcade like. Low lighting, bright lights flashing everywhere, countless meaningless games scattered about, a couple if rides, and even some play structures similar to those found at some fast food restaurants. There are several photo booths with different themes where you can get a decent photo of your child and even your own photo to remember the visit by for only 1 token which is about $.25! Not bad. The over all objective is pretty clear going from game to game, that being to GET TICKETS! When you're done you get to feed all your tickets to the ticket eating machine and have a ticket with your total printed out for easy trading at the prize counter. You do need like 1,000,000 tickets (obvious exaggeration) to get anything really "good" but I don't think anyone really comes to Chuck E Cheese with high hopes of winning a yacht off whack a mole. The pizza is tolerable. Not the best by far but eatable. Think Domino's back when everyone talked crap about Domino's. A bit pricey for the quality but that is not why you're here really either. It's so the kids can chase a mouse and try and collect 1,000,000 tickets! This location I have always found to be clean and mostly drama free which is an accomplishment Imo. (Fairfield is a location I have to compare to this one) Hands down the very best feature of this and all Chuck E Cheese locations is THE INVISIBLE MATCHING STAMPS TO IDENTIFY YOUR CHILD AND YOU THE PARENTAL UNIT AS BEING TOGETHER. you can't just leave with any random kids nor can a child just slip out on their own! This is HUGE especially after my ordeal with child seperation and virtual hostage holding of my son at Johns Incredible Pizza a year or so ago. Chuck E Cheese is what it is. What can I say? It's Chuck E. Cheese, it's meant for kids and it delivers for them. The pizza is decent and the games are fun. This location is much more clean and better taken of than others I've been to. The employees are also friendly and helpful when a machine malfunctions and doesn't give out tickets as it should. Insider tip: -There's an endless lunch buffet Monday through Friday from 11 am to 2 pm but the salad buffet doesn't have as many options during this time as the rest of the day. read more

My Grandson turned 5 and was so excited to have his party at Chuck E Cheese he wanted a family member to cook and bring his favorite cake (German Cocolate ) The young girl in charge of the party was saying who the F%@# brings a cake like that to a kids party then went on to talk shit about our family well my grandsons Dad heard her saying this very unproffisinal so I filled a complaint then my daughter did as well . My daughter got a call from the general manager saying how sorry she was and she would refund all our money which was 225.00 for My husband and I to call her on Thursday that's when she would be back to work so my husband did and she said she would only refund half even though she had said we would get it all back . never going back read more

Customer service definitely needs a lot of work. I had an older card so the young lady at the door pointed at the manager to let me know the manager can help. The manager kinda rolled her eyes and sighed as I walked up to her. She then pointed at the cashier and said she can help you with that. That's total customer unsatisfaction there. No one on the floor to help with machine issues but 2-3 staff standing behind the ticketing counter chatting. I have to give props to a gentlemen with glasses. He actually wiped off the tables and picked up plates. I gave it a 2 star because the pizza and fries were decent only 15 minute wait (very surprised was expecting a 2 hour wait) don't think I would back here again. BIRTHDAY PARTY EXPERIENCE - My daughter was turning 4 and we had a total of 21 people (9 kids, 12 family/adults). Chuck E. Cheese's on Fairway was awesome! They know what they are doing! Around $200 for our group, but that is a 2 hour party and they just encourage the parents to relax as they run the show. It was too easy, and a great value. We always love this spot, but it is a perfect party for any kid. Have to mention Matthew. He ran our party and we were so impressed with him. From when we walked in I had a feeling I knew what the experience was going to be. The woman checking us in was SO unwelcoming. I get it, she's probably dealt with screaming, bratty kids her whole shift and it's not like she's making a career out of stamping hands but good god, maybe a hello, good evening, or a smile?! I was meeting my family for a birthday party and had called my parents a good 25 minutes beforehand to let them know I would be running late. After we got stamped through I saw my parents STILL standing in line waiting to order wings and buy salad plates for the salad bar. They were angry, rightfully so. Then it was our turn to order. I ordered a small pizza and some french fries for my toddler. I didn't want to indulge on pizza intended for the kids and was told it was going to be an hour wait which was fine because it was a birthday party and we would be there for a while. It was downhill from there. The party was reserved in a 2.5 hour block and no pizza showed up during that time. We were told that they were understaffed and to be patient which we were MORE than patient. When the pizza finally came out--delivered by a girl wearing her pajama pants--one of the guests from the table next to us took 3 slices. When we called him out on it he said he thought it was from the same party and TRIED TO PUT THE PIZZA BACK. Um. No thanks. (Not Chuck E Cheese's fault, but it's part of the experience). Remember that I ordered that pizza. Yeah, that never made it's way out. Neither did the fries. In fact, we were getting ready to leave and I was standing by the kitchen door waiting for my pizza. It took like 3+ hours to get my pizza (and french fries). And to top it off, Ms. Chip on her Shoulder that was checking us in was the manager of the night. When we complained she essentially grunted and told us it's not her fault that people called in sick. The only person that "saved" the night was the older woman working the prize counter. Walking into here brought back so much nostalgia. Even the smell is still the same. But I remember this place as a kid and now having brought my own children here it wasn't what I had expected. After an hour waiting for our food I went to check what was taking so long. The woman working the front desk said we had received it already. Ugh, no we didn't - since I still have the number card in my hand.... I also remember there being a huge playground to crawl through. Tunnels and a ball pit... all of that has been replaced by a bunch of video games and a measly filthy slide put in the back of the establishment like Rosa Parks on the bus. Ice machine had no ice Bathroom toilets 2 out of 3 was clogged with turds and TP floating up to the rim. The video machines seemed dirty / lack of sanitation is seen everywhere in here. Especially the slides/playground place. I saw on the napkin dispenser on the table that the games and such are supposed to be cleaned hourly by the staff. Two things...first, the review, then, logic Review: Much bigger than all of the other Sacramento area locations, and seemingly cleaner as well. When there were a few malfunctions, the workers were quick to fix it. One guy (I got his name) named Josh was awesome in his promptness and friendliness. Disclaimer: This review is written by Janie M.'s husband. Having not visited a Chuck E. Cheese in approximately two decades, it was an interesting comparison between what I remembered of those innocent, hyperactive days of my youth and my now exhausted days of parenthood. We went on a Sunday evening and the place was wall-to-wall kids and frazzled parents. We have just one kid under the age of two, so it amazed me to see a few moms walking around carrying a baby in their right arms and dragging the hands of two more of their 3-foot brood in their left hands. There were also plenty of the obligatory "weekend-custody" dads with their kids running around. The place was too loud to think and it was just a world of blinking lights and kids yelling. My kid loved it, but it was so darn crowded. It was relatively inexpensive. We purchased 50 tokens for $10; it lasted us about 1.5 hours non-stop and we had about 10 tokens left over when we were done. Incidentially, we left with 10 tokens unspent because my wife and I couldn't take it anymore. For our son, it would be a 4 star experience +, but for me it was a 3 star; I would personally give it the same rating that I would give a dental office, but I enjoyed watching my kid have fun. OMG. Coming here as a parent compared to my childhood days is like day and night. Truly terrifying if you have a munchkin under 4 feet tall. From the moment you walk in the door, there's complete and utter chaos. Kids running around everywhere, and the place is super packed. I think I spent more time keeping my eyes trained on my daughter so she wouldn't run off as opposed to actually enjoy the bday party we had been invited to. They do stamp both you and your kid's hands when you walk in, and you have to show them these when you leave -- ultimately makes it easier on worry-wart parents like myself in regards to fears of weirdos snatching unsuspecting children in packed places like this. Food is still ok in my book, although I feel as a parent we deserve a glass of wine for putting up with the chaotic environment :) Glad to see a place like this is still up and running for so long.
