My husband and I have been coming here for about 8 years. This place used to be amazing. Great customer service, clean everything you'd want in a kids place. Now.. now it's just sad. Staff doesn't seem to care. Literally every table is dirty, the games aren't fun anymore for kids. They completely re did the party area to where it looks like a cafeteria.. it's supposed to be a place where kids can be a kid.. but where did that go? Screws are popping out of places like no one does a walk through or anything of the place? The only bonus of this place is the size. We waited over 20 minutes for a pizza that was done but our buzzer never went off (we paid for 45 minutes of play) I had to the be the one to figure out that our pizza was done and when I brought it to someone's attention they didn't seem to care and said it was probably "low" it's Monday at 5... dinner time people charge our stuff be on our A game.. I got a simple here's a new buzzer pizza should be ready in 10-15... no "I'm so sorry here's an extra 10 minutes of play for the kids or trampoline play or anything.. truly sad. read more

I had to leave this review because this place kinda went down hill. Either they have a huge plumbing issue or something but the whole Place smells of mold/ funk & for Roseville that's just sad! This place just stunk. Than on top of it a another customer stole our pizza. Apparently they don't bring it out to your table anymore, you get a buzzer well we didn't hear it cuz it's just a vibrate and someone took our medium and left us their small. Some of the games didn't work. Over all experience for $66.00 just didn't cut it for us because that smell and the mugginess just overtook the experience over all. I've been to this location a handful of times. This location is usually not that packed. It was pretty clean. Most of the games were working. The staff was friendly. We reloaded our cards with a time limit. The have pausing stations in case you want to pause your time. They weren't mandating masks. Nobody was wiping games down and the salad bar was just out and open for anyone to go by or touch. I didn't like that but we didn't eat from there so it didn't matter to us. Let me first say this. It is very hard to judge any Chuck E. Cheese establishment as its based on the managment and the employees that run the show. People and kids create the mess cause people first instinct of response is "this isn't my house" so they would careless. But you see this is where most people would make the complaints. With that said, I could have taken alot of pictures of guests and their table mess. Parents who are bossy as if they are Royalty & treat CEC employees like crap. There are kids and parents who disrespect the place as well as the games and other guests there. Overall our pizza and wings tasted great and were hot. Drinks flavor taste was well balanced and didn't taste watered down or too sweet. Staff was pleasant and courteous, though tonight they were a bit understaffed. Well come back for sure. We had our twins 5th birthday here a few weeks ago. (Just getting around to the review) Overall, it was a great party. My kids had fun and the pizza was good. However, I did have a couple of complaints. The young man at the front register was very rude and has zero business working in a customer service setting. The other complaint I had, was that we booked and paid for TWO birthday stars. When we arrived to the party, it was only set up for one of our children. This instantly put a damper on the party, as I had my other child asking "why is this party only for her and not me". The birthday sign had only one name and the "birthday star" accessories (hat, sticker, etc) were only prepared for one child. When we asked the employee who was hosting our table about it, she apologized and said whoever set up our table the night before, failed to read the party details and see that there were two birthday stars. Our hostess was very kind and did a wonderful job. Overall, the ease of having the party set up and cleaned up for us, was great. However, we may consider another location in the future. read more

This location is awesome. We decided to do the 8 week summer pass and get the Gold Pass. There are so many good perks and savings. Well worth it. This location is super friendly, all staff. Manager Scott is doing a great job. We always get help from Emily behind the counter who is always super nice and helpful. The location is clean, everyone seems to be having fun and you can order food from your table now.They also have coffee, tea, beer, and whine. Their pizza recipe is different from when I grew up but still delicious. I will say prices have gone up but none the less it's always a good time when you see how fun your kids are having. Went here for my sons fourth birthday party. It was an absolute blast. Couldn't have asked for a better hostess. We showed up about fifteen minute early and our host Mia explained everything very clearly, when the pizzas and ice cream would come out, when the song and birthday celebration starts, how many pizzas are recommended for adults, it was great. Booths and part of the table for adults, kids are at the decorated table with the cups etc. She was very energetic and had a GREAT attitude. We had our daughters 6th birthday party there yesterday and our hostess was Mia. We paid about $550 for our party so we spend a decent amount of money for 13 kids and pizzas and such. Our experience surpassed our expectations of what we thought we would get. Mia was very attentive and helped us every step of the way with food, drinks, dipp'n dots, cake, birthday songs and whatever we needed. I even asked my wife afterwards if the experience was better or the same as what she expected. She said it was a lot better than we expected it to be as it was the first time we have had our kids birthday party there. It was really cool to think I also had my 6th birthday party at Chuck E. Over this place, I ordered a large pizza and I've never seen a pizza like this. Every piece of the pizza is a different size in a different cut, I go get the manager to talk about it and he says oh, we cut it by hand, so it's never gonna be all even. I took the kids today to avoid all the smoke in Roseville. We had the BEST time. Are they a little short staffed? Sure. Are there new people who are still learning? Yep! However, the staff and managers were are VERY helpful and were trying to go above and beyond to get everyone taking care of. My advice would be to go and be patient and understanding as everywhere is short handed at the moment. We paid for the prepaid 60 minute unlimited play cards which felt like just about the right amount of time. We ordered the pizza and salad bar, both of which were GREAT! The pizza has come along way since I was a kid. Chuck E Cheese was walking around for photo ops, and I saw staff cleaning/sanitizing the games. Ordered pizza and wings and while the pizza was what you can expect at a Chuck E Cheese some of the wings we received were literally fried bones. Almost like they were eaten and then refried. We played games, won our virtual tickets and went to cash in. One employee helped the family in front of us which left 2 open prize counters. Multiple employees walked by and one even stood up against the wall and stared at us. I'm not sure they were on break and a only certain employees are allowed to work that area but it took about 15 minutes for a separate employee to come help us. My family recently had our daughters 7th birthday here. We were able to make reservations online, and when I called ahead the day of to confirm, they were able to see the reservation as well as the note about her being special needs. Everything was perfect when we arrived. They stamp every little for security which i appreciated. One of the managers greeted us when it was time to party and was very kind and upbeat. We didn't have to worry about a thing as far as food drinks or decor and we were assigned our own party organizer Jen-nae ( sorry if I got your name wrong) she was awesome! She even brought me drinks when she saw me struggling a bit with my toddler. She was attentive and flexible with the party schedule knowing our needs and made everything so special. Don't trust staff and make sure they don't double deduct your points. I wanted to redeem points in the app and instead of scanning the QR code I showed them they deduced the points directly from my app without telling me. After I noticed twice the points were removed the first staff I told accused me of lying and said he didn't understand the app and the second said they would return to my account after the codes expired (untrue) and refused to restore them after I said as much. The only semi-helpful thing they did was give me the email to corporate, which was prompt and apologetic in fixing the problem. read more

This has been the perhaps fourth or fifth time I've come to Chuck E. Cheese in Roseville. I have been going to Chuck E. Cheese since I was a kid. I have pictures dating back to my third birthday at Chuck E. Cheese in the Bay Area. The difference between then and now are night and day. The Chuck E. Cheese in Roseville just over the past five or six years has come a long way. The last two times that we have come have been actually in the last two months and I truly cannot speak more highly of the staff. This last birthday party that I threw for my daughter went off without a hitch. Not only was our personal representative extremely thorough and attentive she went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. The manager came up at the end of our party and checked in with us just as a manager at a fine dining establishment would do. I was thoroughly impressed and slightly blown away. I told him that we enjoyed ourselves immensely and I really appreciated how much Chuck E. Cheese as a whole has done too ensure the customer has a great experience. Every single person that attended our daughter's birthday party... Adults included... Commented on how impressed they were with everything at Chuck E. Cheese. The cleanliness, the food, the employees, the games, etc. Oh that brings me to the pizza. I know what you all are thinking. You probably remember the old cardboard flavorless food like product that we all had as kids. Now let me tell you what they offer today. I'm not joking when I tell you the pizza is delicious. You're probably rubbing your eyes thinking I just wrote words that were paid or I'm high as a kite. But I'm telling you the truth. Their pizza honestly is so good. She is all over this place and seems that be the only employee working the entire dining, cashier, drink station and the party going on. This was my family's first time at Chuck E Cheese's in probably 25 years and first for this location. It was a great experience! My daughter is really sensitive to unexpected sounds and movement but the many many many many kids that were running around didn't bother her too much. I guess she was too excited to play. Since this was essentially our first time here, we had to ask what we do about the games. The friendly manager was nearby so we asked him what the deal was. He explained the difference between buying a card for time or for points. He told us that you get more bang for your buck if you buy time rather than points. Once we started playing, we realized he wasn't just selling to us, and he was being real. These games are essspensive!! And you don't get a lot of tickets for each game. We "experimented" with the basketball hoop to test the generosity of ticket giving, and after getting every shot made quickly, we only got 4 tickets. LOL!!! I was surprised at how clean things were. Sure there were tables that needed to be bused, but the floor didn't have popcorn and soda stains (I'm thinking back to the other locations I visited as a kid). The pizza tasted the just like it used to - cardboard. But honestly kids do not care! I enjoyed that they had a salad bar and unsweetened tea. You can stay KETO here people!! We didn't notice that there were two sides to this place. When you walk in the door, to the left of the food is the little kids/toddler area, and everything else is to the right of the food. We should have noticed because my daughter enjoyed this side so much better! She's 3, a very tall 3, but the games suited her better. She didn't need help as much as the other side. They have riding "games" on this side too. You can ride a car, a train, a bus, a carousel, and a cup of hot chocolate. They have a large time play structure with a slide. And then, fenced in, they have a toddler play area with small games and a little slide. Plus it was so much more quiet and mellow. A very nice break from the other side of the building. This would have been a 5 star review if Chuck actually walked around and greeted the kids. He came out once in the 2.5 hours we were there. He interacted with the kids from the many many many many birthday parties that were happening, but once he was done he zipped away to the back never to be seen again. My daughter wasn't a part of the parties and wanted to wait until he was done with all the other kids so she could say hi but he left before she could see him. Here I come with a cheesy review and this one is for "Chuck E Cheese's". Over the years we had over 10 birthday parties here for my son and daughter. But this time it was my niece's birthday Vanessa which turned 4. I'ld say there was about 30-35 in our party total adults & children. This place brought back many memories and it's amazing how fast life moves. It feels like my kids were 2-3 years just yesterday. So my daughter is 14 and my son 11 and they still had a great time playing games and enjoying the pizza. I don't know if it was just me but I used to have a lot more fun here back in the days. It seems like the machines changed to different ones or maybe it is just me since we haven't been here in 3 yrs. The place is very spacious with tons of games and things to do for the kidos. My son and nephew enjoyed playing the basketball hoops and the football throwing machines. I also played a couple games but never got into it like I used to. I mostly spent time talking with out of town relatives. The pizza is great here and i'ld say it tastes like in between Dominos & Round Table. They have a special 2 Large with two toppings each at $22, hey that's not bad! But what shocked me a little is the cost of the salad at a whooping $8.00 but it was all you can eat salad. What was so cute is my niece Vanessa when I asked her "hey sweetie what do you rate this place from 1-5 stars"? And shouting she said 5 stars!!! It's funny that she wouldn't want to leave this place & we stayed till 10pm. But when it was all set and done we all had a great time. Mr. Cheese was full of surprises today. It has been 30 years since I had visited and to be honest I wasn't expecting much. The little lady is 8 and we have been to John's Incredible Pizza at least 5 times in the last couple of years but not once to Chuck E Cheese. Fate smiled on us as she was invited to a Chuck E Cheese birthday party today. When I was a kid there were arcade games for as far as the eye could see, a pretty awesome animatronic room with all the characters and (even to a kid) crappy pizza. They have got rid of most of the arcade games and they have been replaced with these carnival style skill games that allow you to win tickets. There were some pretty fun games for this old man. That was surprise 1. Surprise #2 was the beer on tap selection. You have old standbys like Heineken, Coors and Blue Moon but also had Wildcard Brewing Company's "Liars Dice" IPA. Wildcard is out of Redding and a pretty solid craft beer company. The mouse has to get some credit for that!! Surprise #3 was the pizza. Way, way better than I remember. It was a thin crust with sweet tomato sauce. The mozzarella cheese was fresh tasting and the pepperoni had a bit of spice. It was definitely as good as Costco. Final surprise was that they offer at $5.99 buffet M-F for the working folk. That's a pretty sweet deal. Turned out to be a pretty fun way to spend a few hours. I hadn't been to Chuck E Cheese since the late 80s so it took me a minute once we walked in to figure everything out - but once we got the hang of it, the no token/no ticket system was pretty convenient. The biggest decision we faced was whether to buy "time or points"?? Boy did we make the right choice - points. To be honest, after our experience, I can hardly imagine a case when "time" would be the right choice. Perhaps, it could possibly be useful if you had a particular strategy and knew exactly the games you wanted to play and just really go at it without wasting much time watching your friends play or wandering around wondering what to do next - without having to run over to the kiosk thing to pause your card every time you noticed you are wasting time. Another case may be if you are a parent and just don't want to be stuck there until your kid(s) use up every last point they have - you can just say "times up, let's go". But yeah, we bought 4x70 point cards, which is roughly the same price as 60minutes of all you can play, and 3.5 hours later 3 kids had just run out of points and one of them had still had 30 left that we all ran around trying to use up. So, yeah, the points are definitely the bargain as far as I can see. Kids spend a lot of time watching their friends play and wandering around figuring what to do next - - Overall, good experience.
