Overall Chuck E Cheese is too expensive. We were there 2 weeks ago, ordered the pizza for my kids and even they couldn't eat it. It tasted like it was old and had been reheated. The redeeming for prizes is a joke. It's so much cheaper to just buy the stuff at a store. Something that may cost $5.00 at a store takes an extreme amount of tickets. Lastly, no one ever checked to see if I was leaving with my own kids. Very scary, especially in today's world. I understand why so many of the Chuck E. Cheese's have closed down. read more

Needs improvement. Waited 15 minutes to order food, the workers kept walking past me at the register. When we went to leave, about 5 employees were standing at the counter near the gate check and I'm just standing there waiting, no one came to look at mine or my kids hands and I was tired of waiting so we just walked out. Needless to say, anyone could've walked out with a child. I did see the person prior to me get chased down so they can look at his and the child's hand that he was with, maybe they checked him and not me since his child was a toddler and mine were 6 & 7 . I think one star is an appropriate rating but I really only reserve those for terrible experiences. This was not a good experience, by far, but one star would show zero satisfaction when I did receive a resolution. It was my stepdaughter's birthday party. We decided to order pizza from a local pizza place in Lawrenceville for the adults, but she really wanted Chuck E Cheese pizza for some reason. I volunteered to pick up this pie while the other half went to Lawrenceville to get the adult pie. Guess who made it home first, well it wasn't me. I first tried calling them to place the order. Very simple extra-large cheese pizza. The answering service is incredibly unhelpful and a complete waste of time and a failure for the company. It is one automated recording after the next with no way to place a pickup food order. My husband found through YELP that you could place an order online for pickup. Great! He ordered, paid with his paypal then sent me the receipt. I left a little bit later to retrieve the pie before guests arrived. When I got to the restaurant, there were two young teenager girls chatting at the counter. The one had to make a facial notion to the other that someone, me, was waiting for some help. I told her I had a pickup and my name. She left, came back about 3 minutes later asking again for my name. Again, I gave it but now an older (not old at all just probably the manager, or supervisor) was behind her and took over the conversation saying they did not receive an order, nor do they have a working online ordering service which came off as very defensive. I showed him my receipt, which came with hounds of well we didn't get it, and are you sure it was the North Hills location? I said yes and I do not see how it is my fault that your ordering system is not working. I paid for the pizza and am here to get it. He said he had no idea what I even ordered, I showed him the total and said extra-large cheese. He eventually stopped but then turned the conversation to say "well I will make your pizza, but I won't ever get paid for it." I stated again I paid for the pizza and that is not my concern the system the store's use and if it is inadequate. I said if you could answer your phones for orders then this wouldn't have happened, he said they are not set up that way. I asked how long, he said 10 minutes, and disappeared. I waited off to the side, embarrassed and deciding I would not be doing this again. About 10 minutes does pass by, and he comes back with the pie in his hand and another gentleman, maybe the store manager?? I cannot understand the backup as it wasn't me who was being confrontational during this exchange, but the man proceeds to tell me that they did receive the order but because of the internal issues it was cancelled, and I should have received a refund (BTW this did not happen) and handed me the pizza telling me that they are "out the money" on my FREE pizza. I had nothing more to say than that was not my intention or my fault. So, I guess I alone am tanking this franchise because they have a subpar online ordering system. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Traveled from WV to Pittsburg for a family vacation Easter weekend. Took my 3 sons here and a child's birthday party was going on. I wasn't there for 20 minutes and a fight broke out between adults at the child party and guns were being mentioned and people were screaming and fight and running. Probably 10 police officers showed up and had the building surrounded. Do not recommend. I should have gotten a refund! The pizza was 7/10. read more

We went to celebrate a birthday party, the front staff that looked like teenagers were very rude, even called someone in our party stupid when they thought we were not listening. We asked general questions like how many wings are in a packet and she kept saying "I don't know". It felt like no one wanted to be there who worked there. We tried wings, pizza and salad. Pizza was tasteless except for some low quality toppings and several games for young kids were out of order. The worst portion of our visit was taking a young child to the bathroom where toilets were not functioning and both commodes had bowel movements that would not flush down. I was very upset with how things were being run at Chuck E Cheese in the North Hills location store number 544 on Saturday August 14th.      No one was at kid check the whole time and when I use to work there someone was always there and they could never go past the salad bar.  All the workers were on their phones, again when I was working there that was not allowed phones had to stay in the break room. There was a party going on and no party host in sight, Chuck E danced by himself and the mom of the birthday child cut and passed out the cake, very upsetting.  One of the cast members had their drink up at the Merch counter, again that should stay in the break room. Not sure how the cast members are being trained but I was told when I was there "If you have time to lean, you have time to clean!" and it was not happening. The salad bar could've used some ice and filled up nicely. Bathrooms could have been checked, beverage bar could've used some work.    Then to top it off when I was leaving with my nephew and my mom no one was at kid check the young girl behind Cash was sitting down on her phone and looked at us and asked if we where leaving and we said yes and she said okay. Never checking our numbers to make sure my nephew came in with us.  That is a liability right there anyone could have taken a child and just left cause no one was paying attention to kid check. That is the one thing that keeps parents minds at ease when they are there knowing that no one can leave with their child but if no one is up there any one can take a child that is not theirs and no one  would know until it's too late.    I know times are hard right now in finding new cast members but that is not a reason for the ones that are working now to be lazy in doing their jobs.    I don't think I'll be coming back to Chuck E. When I was a kid, Chuck E Cheese was a place I went to for birthday parties. Now, as a babysitter, I took a 5 year old, per parents request, as a reward for good behavior for 4 days. We went around lunch time on a Friday, there were two or three other families there but they were there separately. After an hour a few more came in. It just seemed like a casual Friday afternoon lunch amongst kids, games, and a creepy giant mouse who made it rain tickets on the kids, they had to pick them up off of the floor. The staff was friendly and competent, although I did have to wait a few minutes before being helped every time I was at the counter. There are coupons online, I just googled chuck e cheese coupons, and there are about 7 that come up. I used the one for 125 tokens for $25. That lasted a good 2 hours, then we had pizza. Note: they offer a gluten free pizza and gluten free cupcakes. The salad bar didn't look too sad, but it was $6.99, a complete rip off. The prize counter did not have many toys. Some of the "prizes" had actual price tags. Additionally, if someone is short on tickets for the prize they want, they will take cash to make up the difference. Watch out parents, because she looked at the child and said she needed 100 more tickets, looked at me and said "it's a dollar, if you want to do it that way". So I put the dollar up! Overall, I can see how a novelty place like Chick E Cheese from my 90's childhood became a place for casual Friday lunches for families with young children. There's just really nothing that special about it. I wish there was a place like Discovery Zone I could take a 5 year old, now that place was fun!! read more

I have fond memories of birthday parties at Chuck E. Cheese's from, well, decades ago when I was a child. It's changed of course, but the idea is the same. I was here for a friend's daughter's birthday party on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't as crowded as I expected, perhaps because of the Steelers game. Either way, I actually found it cleaner and not as annoying as I thought it would be. Though the animated Chuck E. Cheese still gives me nightmares. The food menu now offers more than just pizza. But be warned, if there are birthday parties going on, ordering hot food will likely take awhile since priority is given to the parties already there. It might have been a bold choice, but after one small slice of pizza I went for the salad bar. It was surprisingly well stocked with veggies and toppings (including crumbled pepperoni). I made a beautiful salad. You can still play skee-ball and get a "cheesy" prize with all your tickets. Chuck E. Cheese's still caters more to families and young kids. But even as an adult without children I didn't hate it. read more

So I have actually never wrote a review on yelp before, but I felt compelled to do this. I have heard so many negative remarks, but as a mother with young children 2 and 6, it was great! Yes they are short staffed ... so what the pandemic hit everyone, quit being such a snob. The staff they had was friendly. The pizza and salad were great and fresh, pizza ready in 15 minutes. My kids enjoyed dip and Dots for dessert also. Chuck E cheese didn't dance due to staffing but I didn't care they are afraid of him. They have such cute rides and games for their ages. It was a Thursday we stayed from 3:30 till 6:30ish. There was a decent, not crowded amount of people there with most children similar ages and very kind. Overall it was so fun for our family. Yes it's not like it was when I was a kid , no ball pit, no constant performances by the whole Chuck E. Cheese gang but get over it! Things change and it's so cute for young children. read more

I like to let Chuck E. Cheese take the fuss out of birthdays and they've been doing so for year. Now we've tried Ci Ci's Pizza and we've gone bowling too, but as a family we always find ourselves back at Chuck E. Cheese. The vast majority of my siblings were born during cold and flu season so when I saw a Chuck E Cheese employee wiping down games after use I was both oddly impressed and thankful. Chuck E Cheese for years have been offering great indoor fun for my little bro whose birthday is in December. With options for out door activities far and few between in the winter months I am beyond thrilled to have such an excellent Chuck E Cheese so near to home. My only disappointment is that there is no longer all ball pit and the tubes that the kids can climb through have been reduced. Everything else from the selection of games, food and entertainment are up to my high standards for family fun. read more

I took my niece here last year whenever she was 3. She enjoyed the games but i'm sad that there isn't a lot of space to climb around in. There's one tunnel and it's not too big. I'm only saying this because I grew up at Safari Sam's (Rest in Peace!!) which was the most AMAZING place EVERRRR for a child. Its ok though. One plus is that the games are kind of separate. There is an area for smaller children's games and then more games for older children. They seemed to have a decent price on food but we did not eat here. Also, they serve draft beer. In the back, they have room for parties as well as a stage for Chuckie. My niece was literally terrified of him. She screamed bloody murder and we had to run out of the door to avoid the stares. Also, another plus is that you get an invisible stamp for every person in your party. I'm assuming every group has a different design or color of some sort. When you leave, someone checks the stamps under a black light to make sure no one left with a kid that is not theirs. read more

My daughter loves Chuck E Cheese's, but the staff is sorta rude. We don't feel so safe anymore since they have to have a on duty police officer. Plus the pizza sucks it's like you could eat it like it was chips from chips from salsa and just doesn't have much taste at all. read more

We were greeted with a smile by Anna. The games work so far for the kids, I am pleased. I am unhappy with the beverage service provided by the manager Tiffany. She was completely unfriendly. She was unable to describe what a "blackberry shandy" was and when asked to provide a small taste she flat out refused. The restaurant is not busy but several tables are dirty. I am happy to have this option for the kids on a rainy day. And happy they have beer. But I appreciate smiles and clean tables hence the lukewarm review. read more

I give this place 1 star only because our pizza took an hr to come. Then only 2 of the ticket machines where working, also when we went up to collect a prize only one person was helping people when two people where standing up front I asked them if one of the people in the front could come over and help she gave me a snotty attitude rudely telling me no I believe if you're going to work in a place like this you should have patients and kindness. November 4th, 2017 we gave my granddaughter an unplanned last minute Birthday Party at Chuck E Cheese's at the Mcintyre Square location in the North Hills. We stayed about 4 hours and we all had a blast playing games and eating. I'm not one to write reviews but felt I had to in this case. We were welcomed by the entire staff and treated no different than those that had a reservation. "The entire staff, not just a few of them" was courteous, friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make us feel so welcome. That's unheard of now a days! Be advised, this location does NOT have an inside playground area. It is only a restaurant and arcade. We went on a Sunday and were a little disappointed when we found this out because there wasn't much for our three year old to do. Ok so once a month the first Sunday of the month is supposed to be sensory sunday... for kids with with sensory problems.. website says that and that only. but when you get there at 11 am since they open at 10 you think all will be well but you quickly find out that's a lie. it's super loud, even for me and my wife, I asked a lady that works there I thought this was sensory Sunday and she says that's from 8 till 10 even though it says on there door and there website they open at 10. what this is is false advertising, ment to luer people in with sensory issues knowing fully well your gonna make them regress even further with all the noise and rowdy kids, people working there yelling over the intercom.. it's not just bad business it's outright fraud.. shame on you for your lying ways and tactics and taking advantage of kids with issues.. On a Monday-Friday during the day I would give this place 5 stars all day long! But for your safety & sanity please do not ever go on a Saturday or Sunday. My kids have grown up playing at Chuck-e-Cheese, we all love it there! But this trip ruined it forever. Had to ask 3 times to clean & fill up salad bar...after the 4th time of having to ask so I could get a salad I paid for they told us they where out of lettuce. Really?! (I'm pretty sure they just didn't want to clean & stock, so that was the easy way out) mind you there was still 4 hours before closing time! Then a fight breaks out amongst 20 black women..instead of the security guard & manager telling them to leave, they let them stand there and battle back & forth in a room full of little kids for atleast 45 minutes. DISGUSTING for all parties involved. You are in a building full of kids, is it really that hard to act normal. My son wouldn't even go to the bathroom cause he was too afraid to walk-thru the nastiness. Little kids sticking their dirty hands in the bowls on the salad bar & taking food off. And imagine that, there where no parents in sight to tell them no. Ugh not to mention how disgusting & dirty everything was. There where ripped up tickets & trash all over the floor.
