It may not be flashy like the rest, but we had a blast at these lanes last weekend! We booked here for a birthday party considering it was centrally located and also the fact that it is BYOB. It was a Saturday night and it was only our group and two or three other groups as well. There were no disco lights or DJs (though they were playing good top 40), yet we still had a great time. It's fairly small (only about 20 lanes) and our balls got stuck a few times, but for price you can't go wrong. For renting shoes and playing two games I paid less than $10. If you're looking to bowl a game or two and drink a few beers out of your cooler then I'd recommend here. If cosmic bowling and new technology is more your thing, pass it.

First off it's a BYOB establishment so come prepared. The facility is small but well kept and clean. They take credit card and the staff was very pleasant. FYI, bowling is not cheap. It's $4 a game per person and with 4 of us on one lane and shoe rentals we spend $57 for three games. We will go back.

They have balls, lanes, and pins. Yep, it's a bowling alley. Snack machines, but no hot cheats so 4 stars.

No open lanes on a Saturday night because the leagues stay over. Very rude staff, don't recommend!

They need an agreement with the pizza place in the same plaza to provide food rather than just their snack bar, which only has fries and tots.

Had a great time with family here, plenty to do and keep occupied…read more Downstairs bar was not fast and bartenders could use some customer service training (atleast the ones that worked that day) Otherwise a fun place and we will go again

The place has a wide open and welcoming environment. Sure it gets busy, but you never feel without space to stretch out. The bowing, the games, and the slides are all great. Lots of fun. And tons of "free" stuff to do in there. I enjoy that you can bring in outside food. I wish that they had napkins or something for you, but not a big deal! The beer variety is great and the cocktails are pretty good. Can you tell I'm eager to get to the bad? It's the service. Mainly the bar service. This is a sample size of probably 10+ times being here and without a doubt, most of the bartenders are miserable, not polite, always act as if you are inconveniencing them. It's wild. It's not always the same person. I see new bartenders all the time there and without fail, they are really bad. The woman who was working the first floor main bar on Saturday 1/17 around 1:30pm was by far the worst. She was so bad that I'm at a breaking point and I need to avoid this place for awhile. Pins Mechanical - please fix this culture of bad service. It's a shame and unnecessary.

Arsenal Lanes elevates bowling to an entirely new level. The 44th street entrance opens to a grand steep staircase the brings you up to the primary bowling lanes. The decor brings you back to the grandeur of the 1920's Pittsburgh. There are beautiful period pieces salvaged from all over Pittsburgh that make up the front desk and the bar. Walking behind the lanes brings you to a second grand room with even more bowling lanes. There's a beautiful bar and kitchen has the most comfortable red velvet seat found in Pittsburgh in 2026. The kitchen makes great bowling alley food like pizza, burgers and nachos. The food is inexpensive and every day they have different bowling experiences that are inexpensive and so fun!! If you are looking for a fun time that takes you back to a time when bowling was part of the community fabric, please give Arsenal Lanes a try!! Lawrenceville is also one of the most vibrant dynamic neighborhoods in Pittsburgh so after bowling you can get great coffee or dessert right around the corner!! Enjoy!!

For years, my family has been coming here for birthday parties and everyday fun. More recently, my husband had a work event here, and his employees seemed to enjoy the foods, drinks, and games. I think that the restaurant's casual foods such as pizzas and its alcoholic beverages such as cocktails taste very good. The kids "loved" the bowling and arcade games and spent hours playing them. The games are fun for adults, too (I liked the air hockey and laser tag, although I am not the most skilled at them!). The only problem that we have had was that a photo printer was out of paper, and we had to wait for the paper to be replaced. The employees spoke nicely with us.

We were going to do two but not with those prices. And honestly I get it a LITTLE bit BUT THE amount of time wasted on waiting for the pins to reset or getting our balls back is half the time. My uncle is a bowler and has his own ball and it kept getting stuck as well as their own balls but they blamed it on having his own. We barely got through two games in an hour. The lanes were very clean and I was pleased to see that they had new bowling shoes! Their prices are very reasonable compared to other bowling alleys, which I always appreciate. Everything was set up nicely and we had a great time at the facility! The reason I am giving this place 3 stores is simply because of customer service. First of all, the little attached bar was unattended, so we were directed to go to the main bar to get drinks. It's a little inconvenient when you're bowling because then you have to wait on whomever left to get the drinks. The most disappointing thing was how the older man treated us! He seemed like he had a larger role than just an employee- not sure if he was a manager. At 12:30 on the dot he turned the light back on and shut our lane down in the middle of the game. I went to ask him if he could give us access to our lane and he looked back at the clock and said, "Your time is up." I responded that it says they are open until 1, in which he said, "Oh, did you see that online?" When I told him that yes, I saw it online he acted as if he was doing me a favor and told me that he "guesses" we can bowl until 1 then. MEANWHILE, there was a large group of people a few lanes down that were not being subjected to this behavior from this man! He didn't touch their lane! Soooo unprofessional... if the customer service improved it would definitely be a 4-5 star facility.
