As someone who has traveled the birthday party circuit quite extensively, I have to admit that Chuck E Cheese is my least favorite children's party venue. It's loud, it's overwhelming, and the whole experience is quite chaotic. That being said, a visit to the House of Mouse if often a necessary evil when you're a parent and this Chuck E. Cheese is the best one I've been too! This location is a well-oiled operation with friendly workers, clean play areas, and lots of overall space to run around and explore. When we arrived to our birthday party on a Sunday morning, we basically had the whole space to ourselves, I was happy to see that they had a few attractions that they had games and attractions that were fun for everyone in our group, age one to 67. Pizza was just as good as I remembered and they now offer rainbow birthday cake too! read more

I am giving 3 stars but wish I could break it down by category. The pizza and salad were great. 5 stars. The staff was amazing. 5 stars. Many of the games were broken. 1 star. Paid $188 for 2 pizza special with drinks and unlimited games for 5 people. We added in 2 salad bars or would be less. Kids wanted to jump on trampoline so $10 each more! Got lots of points but trade in was a disappointment. For the money we spent should have gotten better prizes. I hope they fix the machines. Kids love this place. read more

This is a great Chuck E. Cheese's. I've been to several over the years with my children and I've never found one that had an indoor bumper cars until this one. It seemed to be the highlight of our daughter's time here. It's a pretty large Chuck E. Cheese's and clean. There are lots of games for children young and old. They serve up a pretty good pizza (for a Chuck E Cheese's). Great place to spend the day on a cold or rainy afternoon. We've been here several times and never experienced any issues. read more

4/29/21 *Part 2 Of 2* Now I will note Chuck E. Cheese has changed a lot of things. Here is what I noticed and was informed about by Alison. 1. Chuck E. Cheese tokens are a thing of the past.  If you have Chuck E. Cheese tokens, keep them as historical treasure.  2. This Chuck E. Cheese restaurant was fully updated about 6 months ago. 3. The Chuck E. Cheese Mascot and friends  no longer makes public appearances. This really sucks coming from someone who meet the mouse.   What you get instead is Mouse and his friends singing and dancing on a big screen. The big screen which would have been the stage in my day for live concerts or the singing animatronics. Now that I think about it and see the old pictures from the 1980's they are a bit creepy looking...no wonder the update. 4. The game cards has points that can be earned through birthdays and later transferred to your game card if you like.   5. Electronic tickets replaced the paper tickets and do not expire like the paper ones did.  6. If you have a bunch of gamecards and wish to transfer the balances into one card you can. 7. No more ballpit or climbing gym/ballpit in this Chuck E. Cheese...(from what I could see  when I was there. I might be wrong) 8. Most importantly (although many kids may not pay attention to this) UNLIMITED PLAYTIME  SETTINGS: If you choose to set up a let's say 8 hours of unlimited gameplay,  you can play any game or ride for as much as you like on whatever day you are there.  Also, if you need to stop the time on your kid's gamecard, because they need to eat or use the bathroom, you can do this at the Chuck E. Cheese kiosk. I think this is is a very cool idea. I wish Dave and Busters did this at their restaurants.   As for transferring balances on multiple cards you own, this is something D.C Metro/subway need to incorporate into the machines. The hassle of going to Metro Center for this by pain in the... you get the point. I did see Chuck E. Cheese on the big screen when walking to the doors of the restaurant.  I found this tv screen mouse to look worse than the mouse wearing his hat backwards.  How times have changed.  Oh, I asked the question of being able to buy the items at the ticket stand of you don't have enough tickets? The answer is YES. Something Dave and Busters won't let you do.   From the eyes of a kid, 800 tickets might seem like a lot.  From the eyes of a parent 800 tickets transfers into $8.00 US currency.    I saw a Wonder Woman action figure doll for 8000 tickets.  This doll could most  likely be bought for $14.99 at a Target Department Store.  At Chuck E. Cheese you would be buying it for $80.00... Wow, a $65.01 difference not including tax in whatever stay you are in.  56 tickets means $0.56 cents in US currency.  In short, guess it depends on how much do you want the item...or how bad your kid or kids what the item. As I was leaving I saw the outlines of Chuck E. Cheese's friends.  I did not rememe them or they names at all. Yet, there names are mentioned in the photo I took of them.  I am not sure I would have fun being here by myself or for that matter why would I? I might have a better feel for the place if it were my daughter  playing at Chuck E. Cheese.   I did enjoy learning about the many changes at Chuck E. Cheese.   Being a parent  still doesn't mean they might not get bored being there for hours, but it is really about where a kid can be a kid. Have came to this location for years but today was the last time I will ever come. I spent $100 easy on a pizza combo and 120 minutes of play time for 1 kid. Every game that we scanned wouldn't work. The games that did work didn't have the necessary equipment for the game to actually work. The balls were missing from all the ball pits and when I talked to the manager she only wanted to give me 30 more minutes of play time. 20 games were on at most and a lot weren't for a 4 year old to play. The food was gross and not worth the money you pay for it. I got combo 3 and the pizza was mid. The amount of fries was sad to say the least and you get 4 wings! The smell in that place is so gross I almost left after 20 minutes! Save your money and go to another location!!! read more

It was my Grandson's birthday so we had a party at Chuck E Cheese. We were impressed at how cleaned up the restaurant was. He had a special appearance by Chuck E himself and they sang Happy Birthday to him. We all had a great time. The pizza was nice as well. Restrooms were nice and clean. We came for the lunchtime buffet special and with a coupon bought two cards that allowed you unlimited play for 45 minutes. This place is HUGE and my daughter had a blast. While she was playing all the games she wanted, I played this one game that was won via skill. I got over a thousand tickets this way. When our 45 minutes was over, my daughter had a huge amount of tickets which she could then trade-in for prizes. She got a gumball machine (that works really well!) and some little odds and ends. My daughter was a very happy camper. The food was also pretty decent. I recommend coming here for the lunchtime buffet, best bang for the buck, IMHO. However, betware of the drink cups - the very little cups cost $2.50 each! Thank goodness for unlimited refills. read more

We were here for a family party. This Chuck E. Cheese is pretty much like all of them. It is a bit larger than some that I have seen. The staff was great. They were a pleasure to work with and keep overall positive vibes. Everything looked about as clean as could be expected. The games worked properly that we used and the salad bar looked great. I live in Alexandria - va. It was a bit of a drive but the experience was amazing. Clean environment, amazing fresh hot pizza, drinks were't flat from the fountain... and of course the staff were amazing. The chuck e cheeses on richmond hwy, alexandria is awful. Went to this place with my wife, son (4), sister, her daughter (3), and her husband. Let's dive in. I don't know why or if it's normal now, but this specific Chuck E Cheese's does not have the old school tubes for kids to run around in and get lost. I don't know if that is a normal thing for all locations, but that definitely lowered my rating. The staff was friendly. Seemed very patient. Chuck E only came out once for maybe ten minutes in the two hours we were there. He just sort of strolled through the little kid area, and through the bigger kid section. Then was gone. Quickly. Maybe they were short on staff? The food was okay. We just got pepperoni pizza, and my sister got stuffed crust. That stuffed crust had some sort of herbs on it which my wife said was good, but I didn't have any. The normal pizza was alright. Not great. Not good. It reminded me of the cheap frozen pizza you get from the store. A large plus 4 cups is NOT worth $30 though. The place is PACKED with games. Literally. Tables felt pretty scrunched up. So you get a card, put money (credits) on the card, and swipe the card on the machine to get to play the game. All games cost credits. The free old school tube-jungle, like I mentioned before is gone. So if you don't want to fork out much money, you aren't gonna be playing a lot of games, and you are not going to win a lot of tickets. So no rewards. That's okay, right? Cause they probably have some nifty lower-tier rewards that don't cost too many tickets. Right? Wrong. No. We only won just over 200 tickets. 209 I think. Which is alright cause we have KIDS, they don't need to win to have fun. But me, I'm from the old school Chuck E Cheese where you could drop 25 tickets for a small, but pretty cool prize. Not here. Not on TODAY'S Chuck E Cheese. We got these balloon things you blow up that are like inflatable balloon-sticks. The part where they blow up is at the end and isn't a plug. It's cheaply taped together. So after ten minutes, it was pretty flat. Im pretty disappointed. My whole group was. Total spent was over $80. We could have went somewhere else, paid less, and had more fun. Which is what we'll do next time because we probably won't be coming back here. read more

Love this place!!! My son and I come here all the time for the buffet. Best pizza ever... Bathroom is very clean and small. Easy way for my 2 year old to use the toilet. I came here with my nieces and was disappointed. Half of the machines that are by the entrance are broken and out of service. Then the other half don't give out tickets after you play. This is the closest chuck e cheese I have so I would like to see the issues resolved. The food is ok. And the customer service decent but they should hire a few more people. read more

Where a kid can be a kid!! This Chuck E Cheese is extremely clean, the games are hardly ever broken and the staff is very nice and helpful. If your child looses a token or tickets in a game or machine they do not question it or hassle you about replacing the token. The salad bar is always very cold, with fresh lettuce and lots of toppings. The pizza is OK, not the best but not bad either. They offer free refills on drinks and if you buy a Chuck E Cheese Cup you can bring it back next time and drinks are free. I always check online for coupons to get better deals and discounts. The ticket/prize center staff is very patient as the children try to decide which prize to trade the tickets for. They will round up for the little ones as well if they are 2 or 3 tickets from the next prize up. You can also just pay cash for the prizes, tickets are worth a penny each (1000 ticket prize is $10). The online website also has reward charts for the kids, games, free token/ticket coupons and a birthday club too. Parking lot is dangerous!! People speed to cut through and do not slow down, you MUST hold onto your kids and watch them carefully. They have Gluten Free pizza and cupcakes! read more

Tonight we went to Chuck E. cheese for my son's belated 12th birthday party. It was not a formal party, as my son only wanted a handful of friends there. I am sad to say we had pretty crappy service today with exception of a couple of employees. It started at the ordering station they have about 10-15 feet from the entrance. As usual there was a long line and only 2 cashiers. It took about 10 minutes or so just to get through the 2 people in front of us. The girl was nice enough but she wasn't listening that well and more than once cut me off with the total. Finally we get everything ringed up and paid for only to find out that she forgot our drinks. Our food came out 20 mins later and I was shocked on how small the pizzas were! The small looked like a portion for a literal mouse and the "large" looked like a medium. Pretty small for $30! Of course they tasted like slightly cheesy cardboard. This is where things started to go downhill. I ordered a small chocolate cake for $8.99. The original price was $9.99, so my coupon was not that great. The girl at the counter said it would be out after our pizza. After our pizza was delivered the young man switched out our meal number with a picture of a cake. I asked him when the cake would would be out. He replied that it would be about 15 mins. Thirty minutes later I went up to the front again and asked where the cake was. I was then told that I needed to asked for it. I was told this would happen after the "show." The show consisted of 3 minutes of Chucky coming out, waving, then disappearing into the back. Another 30 minutes after that I was damn near furious and went up to the front again only to have another young girl stare at me, mumble something, then disappear into the back. After that it because my mission to find a manager. Thankfully that didn't take long. After I found the manager and explained everything to her she remedied the situation within 5 minutes and gave us a bunch of tokens for our troubles. This visit was hands down the worse visit yet. No one took responsibility for what was going on and changed the story to just make me go away. The manager really needs to retrain the younger staff and make sure they know the answers to questions that they should know. The only bright side to the visit was the young man behind the toy counter. He was very nice and even though my kids were short by 10 tickets he still let them get the little candy that they wanted. All in all this experience was pretty awful, but we have been here before and had great service. They really need to learn to be consistent. read more

The kids love it! I didn't see a single kid not having fun. The bumper cars were genius, it actually made me wish I was 8 again. I literally asked for the weight limit LOL!. they had endless arcade games, a couple were a little off seemed like they needed some touching up. But 95% of all of the games were running well and they were SUPER FUN! The pizza was really good, and the facility was really clean, and well kept.\ I took my 6 yr old son here, but I'm an adult and I just want to go back bc of the games and pizza again. This is by far, one of the better chuck e cheese. First off, this place is quite large and not cramped. They also have this really cool bumper car game for the kids and the tall giraffe ride, which my kid adores. Furthermore, the staff is much better and friendlier especially the manager. He's quick and efficient. Cleanliness: This place is much cleaner than all the other chuck e cheeses. However, the bathroom still needs some work. They should clean it more often and also put a sign or wait until there's no one to clean because when I was washing my hands, one of the staff just started cleaning the sink next to me and spraying it all over me. Games: The games and machines also should be cleaned, but it is better than other places. The place is kind of split into the kiddy section on the left and more older kids to the right. Suggestions: Turn the music lower. It is to the point where I can't even hear my kid next to me. Also I would say some of the music they play is inappropriate for young kids. Customer service is good, my only problem with this location is how almost all the machines rip you off, making you scan your card multiple times and constantly take out "coins". Lots of the games are less than 30 seconds long and they really need to be updated. Many of the games are also broken and don't give out tickets. At least not the ones my toddler uses. This is the closest location by my house but I think I'll drive a little farther for a better experience. read more

Staffs are nice and patient. I see the staffs are trying their best to keep the place clean. But it is a kids play place, so there are constant spills. There are fast cleaning up when they spot a mess. There are plenty of games and prizes that the kids can play on the choose. read more

This is not a good location or either managers have changed. While there with my 2 kids, a number of things were wrong. The biggest thing that was irritating was me trying to get an employee to operate the bumper cars. They put a buzzer by the ride to ring to call an employee to operate, but no one ever came. I asked the manager to send someone, but didnt happen- why even put the buzzer there?? Several of the games were not operating correctly or no tickets were dispersed. Brought some family and friends here for my child's birthday party. Great place for kids 12 and under. They left with full tummies and left tuckered out. They made a mistake with our food order and took over an hour to bring it out. But I give them credit because they owned up to their mistake and made up for it by not charging us for the item and throwing in some freebie stuff, as good service should be. Took my family there today for some lunch and games. Service on the food was good but there were a few things that bothered me. I watched a young boy ( I would guess no older than 4) stick his head up under the plastic retainer of the skeball game, an employee was passing and stopped, watched him, and then continued walking. I ended up having to help the kid. Next, I like how you can play by time now but with some of the games the require multiple card taps it takes to long for the machine to let you tap enough to get the right amount of credits. I felt at least 10 minutes of my hour was spent doing this. Lastly it was a little annoying when my kids were picking their prizes that the guy kept excusing himself to disappear in the back. There were plenty of employees around and it was not busy at all. Ofcourse the kids had a ball and my wife printed some coupons and it saved us a few bucks. read more
