Healthy live stock, and an awesome wagon wide and tours where we got to see the camel, bisons, and other animals from the safari region of Africa. After the wagon ride we took off to walk the zoo and saw a beautiful anteater, wallabies, red kangaroos, turtles, koa fish, and other animals. I definitely want to come back because they have a butterfly exhibit and I really wanted to try it. It just wasn't in our purchased packet. The butterfly exhibit is $8 per person.

It had been a minute since I visited but I was really happy to see the massive facelift on the place -- the animals looked clean and well taken care of and there was beautiful landscaping everywhere. There were lots of zookeepers around and you could tell they were very passionate about their jobs. We went on a summer morning for a field trip and lasted only two hours due to the heat but the children loved seeing the capybaras, monkeys, cheetah, buffalo, deer, goat, cows, and pigs. There is also a new butterfly enclosure! I'll have to go back with my entire family to check out all the updates.

Pros: play street, I think one of the only ones in the area. (Although there is a cute one in WV…read morethat has a cafe with food too). It's clean, bright. I love that there are also crafting options, some tables with puzzles as well. In a shopping area so plenty of easy parking. Your child gets to pick a snack at the end which helps with the "I don't want to leave" tantrums Cons: The price is hefty $16 for 1.5 hours. It's hard to get behind this when I can go to a place like me land in chantilly for $10 and unlimited play time with a much bigger space and a lot more to do. The snack helps with that but still, at this price I'll come maybe every other month. At $10, I go every week sometimes multiple times a week. The space is small and they are cleaning while you're playing, in such a small space this feels rude/ puts unneeded pressure on the customer. Especially since they have a gap to clean before the next time slot. Overall: I would come again but not often due to the price. If you have a really crafty kid and only one younger kid I feel the price might become worth it. If you have kids in a spread out age range, or who don't like crafts, or you don't want to deal with the stress of having to be there at a certain time, and leave after just 1.5 hour. There are certainly better options both from an affordability standpoint as well as quality.

This is hands down the cleanest indoor space we've been too and we've been to lots. The staff here were super friendly and regularly cleaning and putting things away. The play space has a town motif with a crafting and art area and then a vehicles, blocks, and dinosaur area. My daughter's favorite was the vet space, followed by the recycling truck. She spent a fair amount of time with the dinosaurs and at the grocery too. We never made it to the play areas on the left side. 90 minutes just really isn't enough time to cover it all if your little spends a long time in one area. I looked online to book play for another weekend and was shocked to see they only offer play 9-1030 on the weekends. I'm a working single mom, child in preschool, and we live in Springfield-essentially the weekend schedule means we won't be able to return without setting out super early. I love the imaginative play concept so I really hope they open a space closer to Fairfax or open up additional weekend play hours.

ZavaZone is the perfect place to let (older) kids loose and burn some energy during the weekends…read more My daughter is more on the timid side when it comes to large indoor gym spaces, but there were so many activities she was able to pick and choose according to her comfort level. From high ropes courses, to ninja warrior battles, giant slide, parkour, trampoline dodgeball, and battle beam there is lots of things to do. While this place is not the newest, it was very clean and well staffed. Make sure to get dippin' dots as a treat on your way out. We would definitely come back!

However, within minutes, it became clear that this facility is dangerously understaffed and falling apart. My biggest concern is safety. The few staff members present were completely checked out. Instead of monitoring the equipment, they were grouped together looking at their phones. This was terrifyingly apparent on the high ropes course. I watched a young boy climb a set of pillars nearly 15 feet in the air before the attendant finally looked up from her phone to intervene. In an environment like this, that level of negligence is unacceptable. The facility itself looks ok at first glance but is in disrepair. Large strips of rubber were falling off the warped wall, and the general maintenance is appalling. I've attached a photo of the stairs where the lighting fixtures have been ripped out, leaving exposed wiring hanging open right where kids are walking. Between the distracted staff and the crumbling infrastructure, this place is a liability. It feels unsafe and frankly needs to be shut down before a child gets seriously hurt. We will not be returning.

The zip line is pretty fun, even for adults. The staff are pretty helpful in explaining how things work and assist in putting on the harness and taking it off. The slide is also really fun, you get a mat to slide on and go down head-first on what seems a 90 degree plummet and land on an inflatable pillow. One thing I did see people struggling with is the anchoring point of the harness to the rock climbing rig. You gotta have some strength to properly rig it and kids often need assistance. In some of the reviews I read prior to visiting, people said it gets really busy on the weekends and the lines can really put a damper on the experience. We chose to go on a weekday and there were no lines.

Safety is, of course, a top priority, but the current setup is completely inefficient. There simply aren't enough staff members to strap in patrons quickly, leading to an excessive line that ate into the time we paid for. To make matters worse, the climbing walls and ropes course require separate harnesses, forcing kids to stand in line TWICE just to participate. If I had paid for two hours and spent half of that just waiting, I would be beyond frustrated. This setup is unfair to families who expect to actually enjoy the attractions--not just stand in line. I strongly encourage management to look at how other adventure parks operate and adopt a more efficient system. More harness stations and dedicated staff at multiple locations throughout the park would make a huge difference. If things don't change, I imagine many customers (myself included) will hesitate to return and may even request refunds. How can a business thrive if paying guests spend more time waiting than playing? I truly hope improvements are made because this place has so much potential--but right now, it's just not working.
