This review is for the preschool. This was my son's first year at school, and I couldn't have wished for better teachers than Ms. Caitlin and Ms. Peggy. They are so kind and caring to their students, and the activities they do are fun and meaningful. He has made lots of friends and comes home excited to talk about his day. The daily photos are soooo reassuring to receive when you are sending your child to school for the first time. It also gives my family a chance to talk about my son's day by looking at the pictures together. The monthly newsletters are so detailed, and have conversation points to go over with your child. Lastly, my son follows a special diet, and his teachers have been so supportive of that and always make sure he is included in food activities/parties by giving me lots of notice when they are planning anything so I can provide a substitution. I wish my son could stay with Ms. Caitlin and Ms. Peggy for all his years at preschool, but we are also excited to see how great the other teachers are. This preschool is also great because they have the Parent Activity Committee (like a PTA), which plans fun events and get togethers. We feel like we are part of a great community!

They wanted to go back after their showers.

Wow. I wish we had something like this where we're from. We came here to kill some time with a couple toddlers on a family trip, and I'm glad we did! It was a lot of fun for both them, plus our teen daughter! If I'm honest, I had a lot of fun as well. They have a massive and truly fun water slide, which feels intense enough I didn't think my 3yo could handle it. Between the dedicated toddler areas, lazy river, whirlpool and everything else, there was plenty of variety for all of us. The rest of the rec center looked pretty awesome as well, but we didn't visit any of that on this trip. We'll surely be back, though.

Nice local indoor water park. With big slide and 2 different lazy rivers. Warm pool is quite unique and so nice.

Pool area dirty, cold. No chairs for relax. People can go with shoes into the pool facility. Hygiene zero. Never again

(I think there is also a small section for Ping Pong) I believe it has about 7-8 courts or so and it is usually always packed! There are many league games to be played through FXA and they also have courts up for rental. The staff there had been nothing been absolutely helpful and resourceful! Their ceilings aren't particularly low however, many high balls can bump into the lights and poles above. The lights are also blinding at times but other than that the court areas are pretty spacious -- minus the sides due to the nets. There is quite a bit of space to put your belongings and for people to come by to watch + support! The floors could use some sweeping as it is usually slippery/dusty Overall, this location consistently holds many leagues, tourneys, and open gyms and would recommend 7/10 for the facility but 9/10 to come play!

It was a great combination for both the kids and adults. The inflatable waterpark kept the kids busy for the entire session. El Jefe, the large slide, and Thor, the climbing tower and slide, were our favorites. I strongly recommend booking one of the first sessions during the summer. We went early when it was less crowded, and it became noticeably busier later. In the afternoon, we completed the green and blue aerial trails. Both were a lot of fun, and the progression from one to the next worked well. Overall, River Riders is an excellent choice for families or groups looking for an active full day near Harpers Ferry.

Despite having prior rafting experience and maintaining strong physical fitness, this individual tubing trip presented hazardous conditions with virtually no on-water safety support. Key Issues Observed: No Helmets Suggested or Required: Helmets were not recommended, suggested, or provided for navigating rocky rapids. I capsized and hit my head on submerged rocks--a dangerous hazard that warrants clear guidance and mandatory head protection. Zero Rescue Personnel: No river guides or safety kayakers were stationed along technical sections. When participants were pinned against rocks or stranded in strong currents, there was no staff to assist. Inadequate Instruction & Extreme Strain: Relying solely on arm paddling through boulder gardens offers minimal control and quickly causes physical exhaustion, even for fit individuals. Equipment Failures: Some tubes were punctured by sharp rocks, leaving guests stranded in turbulent water with no emergency extraction protocol. Commercial river outfitters have a basic duty of care to provide essential protective gear, clear instruction, and active supervision. I strongly advise making sure these safety practices are in place before booking unless you have experience and are comfortable without the precautions.
