This is one of the best kid activities in the DMV! And the manager Hajra was really incredible and made us feel right at home. The food was exceptional--pizza was great, lots of topping options. The salad bar was fresh and had lots of veggie options, and lots of soft drink options. They also have birthday cake! Plenty of tables. Everything is very clean and there are loads of windows for natural light. There are so many different options for activities--trampoline, rides, games for tickets. Between the Fairfax CEC and this location, I think this location wins. It's very spacious, great for birthdays. They have a huge screen continuously running CEC-oriented videos. They also have a good amount of rides for little kids. I like how the game sections are divided into little kids on one side and bigger kids on the other. I'm a big fan of the all you can play in a certain time period pricing schema. My son is a bigger fan of the TMNT game. We easily spent 2 hours here on a rainy day. Grand Re-Opening! (Never been to this location before) Super clean. Employees are everywhere. Nice jump area, my kid didn't jump though (3 y.o.) The games worked. Cake tastes great. Came here for E's 4th birthday party. Chuck E. Cheese has changed (in a great way) from when I was a child. I appreciate that they stamp each persons wrist as you enter as a family. When you exit, an employee checks for the stamps again. This is a wonderful safety measure. Chuck E. Cheese is definitely cleaner than I remember, at least this location is. The employees did a great job setting everything up for the party. It was all so organized. Food, drinks, and cake came out in a timely fashion. Plates, plastic silverware, napkins, and cups were all within reach. Employees were all so helpful throughout the entire party. The birthday package E's mom chose allowed the kids to play unlimited games for up to 2 hrs. That was so kind of her and everyone had so much fun. The Chuck E.'s Play Pass is awesome since we didn't have to carry around any tokens. The games were all well maintained. Restrooms in the back were clean enough. Their menu includes a variety of pizzas, wings, salad bar, appetizers, sandwiches, and desserts. Our little ones had a wonderful time. It was so great celebrating E's birthday! I never got to do this as a kid. I enjoy this just as much as my son. We love the all-you-can-play option for around $20 for 1 hour. We did 2 hours once and we still could have gone longer. In spite of the gazillion kids running around at any given time, the place is in pretty good shape. The food is consistently good (for a CeC, which isn't an insult), and there is a small but respectable selection of games/rides. That said, it is a smaller CeC than some other locations. Parking is ample, and there's a McDonald's next door, so if your kids can't get their junk food fix here, not to worry! read more

I'm not afraid of going to Chuck E Cheese's anymore. The place (Fairfax location) was dirty and horrible when I was a child so I dreaded the day I had to take my first born to a birthday party at the Herndon location. I have been many times since that birthday party years ago and like I said, I am not afraid. I look forward to the pizza. The crust is great. The sauce is great. I actually prefer it to Dominos and Papa Johns. On my last visit my pizza arrived in 8 minutes - on a day that the weather was bad and school was out - at lunch time! The staff has always been wonderful. Friendly and helpful. The games are usually all in working condition. The salad bar items are always fresh. The soda station can get messy but the selection can't be beat...so many choices! The bathrooms are always clean. The last time I was in was as a reward for my son for good behavior in school over a certain time period. He choose CEC as his reward. I brought a book and relaxed knowing my kids were having a great time spending their tokens. read more

Our family came here with our nephew during thanksgiving week/weekend. I personally have been to this location many times in the past but Not during thanksgiving. It was super slow, quiet and just awesome. This place is usually pretty crowded as the next closest location is 25-30 mins away so it was nice and my nephew got to run around a bunch of times. As you can expect most employees are younger and the place, honestly, in my opinion is well kept. I mean yes, there are things that can improved but given how busy this location tends to get, I think they do a darn good job. Tokens are cheaper at the cashier than the machine by 50 tokens or so for same price. They have pizza, tenders, salad bar and even beers & coffee (no iced coffee, we asked lol) ************However some parents, they just don't pay attention to anything and usually their kids are the worst. Stealing tickets, pushing kids away, cutting the lines and no concern for kids who are in line whatsoever. I don't care where you are from and if this is more of your cultural things you do where you let them run "wild" anywhere but this is not your home/basement/backyard. Everyone's here with kids to enjoy and there's no time for your inconsideration and lack of etiquette. Pay attention to your kids!! read more

For Lazy Eye Chuck & the sorry staff it isn't physically possible for the employees to care any less about doing a decent job on Sunday July 16, 2017. One star because the pizza was ok & the beer wasn't skunked. Entry guy is watching a movie on his phone. I could leave with any kid this guy didn't check who I was walking out with. Cashing out was difficult, stay with me lady who gives out ticket items. You can pay attention to my daughter when she asks for a plastic bag, you could do your job and assist her. Tickets for toy lady too has her phone out but to calculate 42+ 200 + 500 = not the brightest staff. The person in the Chuck E outfit was slouching and the characters somehow managed to have a lazy eye likely not paying attention before putting on the head. These fools are just the icing on the frozen cake they served. When 3 machines don't work yet deduct 5 points from my card. I wasted 10 minutes finding a manager to fix the non working machines & credit me back my money. The 3 year old princess at the party wasted several tokens / points on her card trying to work broken machines but no manager credited her a thing. I told these imbeciles go give her something but he seemed to only comprehend a direct suggestion. " Give me 5 tokens, you just saw the card reader show I lost 5 from the several broken machines. You gave me 3, now give two more. I'm here watching my kids but you are off in space wasting my time." An adult will get a machine fixed but most of the people using the broken games will move on at a loss. The idiots working there can't get off their phones to pay attention. What if a machine were to alert management when there are no more tickets in it, or if the coins needed to be emptied? I'll return for the next birthday there but I'll recommend another location. Hopefully new management will buy out the franchise. I would be interested and could find employees who care. Reach out to me if the ownership is up for sale or if the Chuckee job is open. From all parents, thank you! This is one of the last few places where "a kid can be a kid"...free wifi, decent pizza, and plethora of games for your child to play. Love the centrally located tables so parents can kick back while kids hop from game to game. We stopped by on such a school holiday. The staff were very helpful when we had some issues with a few games. They even helped show my kids how to play one of the games. Their patience and great customer service will keep me coming back. We also love the new timed play, rather than paying for coins (though they still have that). read more

I recently came here with two little ones... one 2, one 6... plus my mom and sister. When you enter with children they give you a stamp that is only seen under blacklight that has a unique number identifier for your group - to ensure that you only leave with the kids you came with. Chuck-E-Cheese's is laid out well.... as soon as you walk in the prize table is there - sure to get the little ones excited about getting tickets and wanting prizes. You also order your food there and then go find a table and they will bring you the pizza (which... surprisingly.... not bad - light on the sauce so it's great for their target audience of children). On the left side there are lots of rides, perfect for younger children. The 2 year old really enjoyed these. On the right side are all the various games to earn tickets, and plenty of ticket redemption machines that give you a receipt with the number of tickets you redeemed. The only thing you have to watch out for with C-E-C is how fast your $$ will fly out of your wallet purchasing tokens if you're not careful. read more

It is a darn tooting shame that I am the Duchess of the House of the Mouse. Which is code for CEC. No parent dares to udder those words unless you are actually driving to CEC or else you pay the price of having a screaming pyscho little person(s) in your midst until you can distract them with something else. This location is the same one my little sister used to work at when we were teenagers. I remember dropping her off and then coming in to play the games before they opened lol. It has changed a lot and for the better. Since between the two of us we have 4 little ones, I feel like there is always a party/playdate/get out of the house moment where we find ourselves here every month. I just keep a stash of tokens in my trunk at all times lol. For me, my favorite parts are: The Kid-Check - which means no one is getting out of here with my rugrats and I can actually breathe if they are more than an arms length away. The Salad Bar which is always well stocked and actually a pretty good value. I've also noticed they have more diet sodas available which works for me. I'm not a big soda fan but sometimes you just want a sip and not have to blow your diet on 200 calories of sugar. There have been a few times where they have messed up our food orders (as in never brought it to the table) and on an even rarer occasion the bathrooms can be a bit messy. But whenever we say anything they send someone in right away. The GM here is the same one that was here over 10 years ago when my little sister was 16. She is great and we always get a smile and a hug when we come in whether its for a huge party of 60 or just the family. Not too shabby as far as CEC's go! read more

As o f. said the salad buffet was fresh and relatively varied. We all had pizza which tasted pretty good at the time. And my three year old daughter had a fantastic time and didn't want to leave. That was the good, now for the bad: Several of the games smelled heavily of old urine. Possibly acceptable if it was a recent accident, but it wasn't. So gross, and it makes me wonder what it smelled like in those cool looking hamster-like tubes the kids crawl in on the ceiling. Does that *ever* get cleaned? Maybe I don't want to know. Next up my wife ordered a little container of milk for our daughter. On our way home she realized it didn't smell right. She checked and realized it was over a week expired! What kind of a restaurant offers expired milk to kids? The evil kind. Finally, once we got home my wife started feeling ill. Then I didn't feel well. And to finish off the experience my daughter was sick all night long. Nothing says don't ever go back to Chuck E Cheese like an entire family with diarrhea! No really, don't go here. It's possible the one in Dulles is better. But I assure you, I will never know because I will never go back to any Chuck E Cheese ... ever. read more

Where else would I choose for my 200th review? This CEC is one I've been going to for years with my extended family. We used to go to the one on Picket, but we found this one to be less crowded and more spacious. So, we go here every year for during our family reunion weekend. This CEC is clean, and the service is good. There's plenty of games for adults and kids alike. Even my uncle, who does not really like these type of places, had a blast playing games and hanging out with his brother. CEC can be a bit pricey, but it's a really good time and a tried and true tradition for us, Superstars. read more

The one in Herndon is the best one I have been to in the Northern Virginia area (I've to the ones in Centreville and Fairfax). I have been to Chuck E Cheese in Alaska and Florida as well, and this one is top notch. I'd say I've been to maybe one other that was better, but only because it had a wider layout and was new. The very friendly staff more than make up for that at this location. All the machines work, and it's clean. Me and my son come here almost every weekend. read more

I've always had a bad impression of Chuck E Cheese's facilities since my own childhood experiences with them in the 1980's. My expectations were far exceeded at this Chuck E Cheese location. The play area is clean, the bathrooms are clean, the pizza is made FRESH on premises and it actually TASTES GREAT! I was also shocked to find that there is a nice variety of beer available ON TAP!!! I am leaving this review on the behalf of one of my closest friends. The friend in question is the father of five in the Herndon area who is live there over 20 years. He is a respected business owner and swears to never take his kids here again because it is so dirty and the quality of people that come through here sometimes. He still takes his kid to Chucky cheese but to a different locationas this one he said does not meet the standards of a good parent often times. With my own two eyes I have not been inside, but I have heard it can be quite dirty and germy and a lot of non-English speaking going on. Nothing wrong with that but he felt like people talking about his family and did not know what they were saying. read more

Brought two rugrats here this past summer and I was not impressed. Staff were less than helpful and barely cracked a smile. Cleanliness was obviously not their top priority. The dingy carpets didn't help me feel any less dirty either. As soon as we stepped foot out of the building I gave us all a good Purell bath. Having the prize booth as soon as you walk in the door is definitely a smart business move and also one that'll seize a parent's wallet. The kids get all excited about what they want to win and attempt to play every game in the house. During my experience here, the kids got bored pretty fast though, especially when they figured out that a million tickets won only earns you an eraser (not really, but you get my point). I will say that I'm a fan of the Kid-Check concept, where every adult leaving is checked to make sure they have corresponding numbers as their kids. read more

This location has really gone down hill service wise. I've been coming here for over two years and over the past few months alot of games have been breaking or are missing critical components (pucks, coins, etc) and they arent getting fixed. Staff has been paying less and less attention even when its really slow and empty. The last 2 trips ive had to leave without my kids getting prizes because no one would come over to the counter and ive walked out on multiple occasions without getting our stamps checked because ive waited up to 10 minutes and no one would come over to let us out. Today my one of my daughters got out of the building because there was no one at the gate. I will be going to the dulles location henceforth. read more

The kid was invited for a birthday and I was dreading it. I remembered the dark, dirty and musty CEC's of my youth. Well, happy to say that although it's still quite overstimulating--which kids love--this location was really surprisingly nice. Well-kept, clean, natural light, space to run around. Well done, guys! Modernized with a little green-screen spot--the kids loved watching themselves on TV. Still the same pizza, but no one wants to sit and eat anyway. Recommend you install an espresso bar for the adults so we can try to keep up. read more

I've held two fundraisers at the Herndon Chuck E. Cheese. The staff bent over backwards to help us out, and we had a fabulous event, raising a good amount of money for a great cause--fighting cancer. With our 6-year-old and 8-year-old boys, we are a gaming family. We love the diversity of activities at CEC. We're happy with the food and the security--ends up being a very nice experience every time we go. I'll admit the pizza is not my top choice, but I think the food selection and quality has definitely improved in recent years. We'll be repeat customers for many years! read more

Had my daughters party today and was awesome the staff was super nice (Yvonne was our host and she was awesome had a smile on her face and helped in any way she could). I would recommend this location rather than others near by. I had my daughters first party at Sterling location and was ok the host didn't really engage in the party as much as Yvonne did and at the Herndon location the managers came a couple times throughout the party to check up and see if we needed anything. He place is clean and employees seem to take their job seriously unlike other locations where I've seen them good off a lot. Also chuck E came out multiple times to dance and take pictures with the kids, which I had never seen at other location usually he comes out for less than five minutes and that's it. The ambiance is quite pleasant especially for the kids. Will def recommend this location and keep in mind for future parties, was extremely pleased. read more

My daughter recently had her birthday party here and it was awesome. The staff was amazing and very accommodating considering I messed up and almost ruined my daughter's day! I thought I had made reservations to the CEC in Herndon but instead made them at Dulles. So when I showed up to the Herndon location and realized what happened, I was almost in tears. The managers and party host quickly helped me and even though they were fully book found a way to fit my party in. They were extremely attentive and made my daughter feel special. read more
