My family went to this location yesterday and was very disappointed with the video games. About half of the machines were broken (all of the skeeball machines and many others) and, those that were working, had been modified since we were last there to give substantially fewer tickets. Games that used to give out 100 tickets were changed to only give out 25 max, and scores that used to reward 10 or more tickets now only rewarded 1. My daughter was very disappointed as she was able to get much less in prizes than usual. Despite it being a busy weekend day, they were also very understaffed which caused service to be very slow. Next time we go to Chuck-e-cheese, we will try another location (in the hopes that it will be much better). If not better, that will probably be our last visit. read more

First time visiting this place. I purchased two 60-minute cards to try it out. We played for about 10-15 minutes before taking a lunch break at their restaurant. However, most of the drink dispensers only dispensed water. I informed a staff member, but she completely ignored me. After lunch, which lasted about 40 minutes, I discovered that my playtime had run out--even though we had only used about 10 minutes before the break. No one informed us that we needed to manually pause the timer. I had even told the front desk staff upon arrival that it was our first visit, so I expected at least some basic guidance. When I brought this issue to the supervisor, he was dismissive, essentially telling me it was my responsibility to figure it out. He offered no apology or assistance. I haven't been to Chuck E. Cheese since I was a kid but my kids got invited to a birthday party here so I had a chance to check it out again. My kids loved Chuck E. Cheese. There's an option to get a birthday party pass with unlimited play time so my kids played their hearts out for 2 hours. There were a lot of games to occupy kids from ages 2-10. I kind of wish the games were divided into different areas by age group but they weren't so my 4 year old spent about 30 minutes playing a shooting game killing zombies. I personally enjoyed the photo booth options and while they no longer have my childhood favorite game bonking alligators on the head when they pop out, they had a similar game that my daughter loved. The party package included 2 small slices of pizza per kid, a generic chocolate cake, and a tiny amount of Dippin' Dots. The Dippin' Dots were a nice touch, since I personally refuse to splurge on Dippin' Dots, but was glad to have my kids finally try Dippin' Dots for the first time. I liked that the party was stress free for the parents hosting the party since I don't think they had to do any set up at all, but I did notice some of the kids looking sad that the pizza ran out so quickly. I have not been to Chuck E. Cheese since I was a kid and was sadly disappointed about what this chain has become. Gone are the ball pits and sky tubes plus the live animatronics. Insert lots of games and a few juvenile rides and some lame TV enactment of a Chuck E. Cheese show and that's what it is now. I bought the least costly play card -$17 I believe. My son is just a toddler but it was kind of ridiculous that all he could get for the tickets he accumulated was a lollipop and two tootsie rolls. I refused to spend beyond the initial play card so we were outta there within an hour. My son loves just sitting at the driving games or shooting games and pretending to play them, but I know that's not going to last much longer. Once he catches on that he's not *actually* playing the games, this would turn into an expensive trip that just doesn't seem worth it. read more

Do not go to this location! They are so understaffed, the pizza was gross, there were several games broken, the bathroom was filthy, but worst of all, the false sense of security at this location. We have never experienced this before at other locations. They stamp your hand and your child's hand to enter. When we left there was no one at the front door, or even paying any attention! A large family left in front of us and we went right behind them, with no one even paying attention. I went back to the store today to voice my concerns and explained that our grandson is three and we just walked out. The gentleman I spoke to actually replied to me that it was only one kid! Seriously, just one kid that could have been potentially kidnapped! I then mentioned about the large family that left ahead of us and he had no response. I tried calling the customer care line, but they are on the phone with another caller and it said they would return my call. This is the last time I will be giving Chuck E. I love coming here with my three kids ages 7, 6 and 2. I love how you can buy an hour with unlimited playtime and you no longer have to deal with coins or tickets. Everything is done on a swipe card that they easily manage. I feel it's very safe too because you have to take a selfie with your kids when you walk in and then they match it up when you leave. read more

Totally not the Chuck E Cheese I remember from my childhood! This place has been redone and rebranded. Gone are the singing robotic bands in the dark party room, and in with a bright clean dance floor and games. I appreciate the hand stamps at the front which match you and your kids up so the kids can't leave with someone else. Me and little guy had a mommy & son day and spent a good 2.5 hours here on a 100 pt card (check for coupons online!) and even got a free personal pizza through the app and I got the salad bar. Little guy got to join in on the dance parties lead by Chuck that were going on every hour and he had a blast! Will definitely be back when we need to treat him to an indoor afternoon! read more

Our kids had a great time here! It was super clean and not many people due to the pandemic, it was like having a private party. Their check-in was easy, instead of the stamps, they just have you take a selfie, and when you leave you show them the same selfie. Games are scattered utilizing all the space on the floor (as before it was clustered together). The tickets are awarded on the play cards, no more print out. We have been to CEC many times in the past and it's always busy with screaming kids and parents running around, still a good time. This time was much better as it was like we had the entire place to ourselves. I do hope, CEC becomes hoping again. read more

I don't remember what the pizza tastes like now, but it is never to late to order a pizza from this place. The place was very clean, a lot of staff members to answer you questions. Once upon a time, I used Yelp to write reviews about amazing culinary and vacation experiences in far off locales. Then kids came along and well.... here we are. We hosted my daughter's birthday party at this CEC location this past weekend, and I wanted to share our party experience with other parents who are considering doing the same. We had a really great, stress-free birthday party here. The entire experience was relatively seamless from start to finish, including: - Being able to book the party online instead of having to call or email - Being able to update the reservation to accommodate more kids at the last minute - Being able to add on cake, ice cream, additional pizzas (we opted not to do this but it was nice to have the option!) - Our party hostess, Vilma, handled literally everything that didn't involve talking to the parents. She arranged the tables. She put out the Chuck E Cheese bottles. She (and her team) brought out the pizza and cut it and distributed it. Once the kids were seated, she ushered them to/from the dance floor and through the happy birthday song (in coordination with the CEC video/dance routine). She cut the cake and distributed it (with help from us). In short, she was awesome and made the party hosting experience soooo incredibly hassle free for us. I mean, I basically did nothing except hand out play passes and chat with the other moms. - The kids had a great time dancing with Chuck E Cheese to the birthday song and their whole birthday performance was so much fun for my daughter. - There is at least some semblance of security with the wrist numbers and family identification. I'm not saying its fool proof but if you can't see your kid, there's enough security that you don't immediately go into panic mode. The only thing preventing this from being a 5 star review is the complete garbage they have for prizes. My daughter finished out the day with 968 tickets (birthday kids get a 500 ticket bonus) and still was only able to get a crummy plastic unicorn, some candy and stickers. Overall, it was an easy party with great customer service. We don't live in Fairfax so it was a leap to book at a place we'd never seen and that didn't have many birthday reviews. The place is so packed but thats alright if you are just visiting. But if you reserved a time slot for your family and friends, then arrive at the place with 3 more parties happening at the same area, I dont think it was acceptable. It was all chaos. There were already a lot of people dining, then you'd have to share what you thought would be special and intimate time for your son with 50 more people celebrating their kid's special day. It would have been nice if they limited the party area to 2 parties at a time instead of 4. Then create a division in between the 2 parties to make it more special. In addition, our hostess was so busy getting our food that she was not with us all the time. Plus, it felt like they were not ready and didnt know how to host a party. Our food came in late, no one was assisting us. I thought this was going to be a fun and stress-free party but i was wrong. I ended up ordering more food coz my friends and family already finished theirs coz the food that I pre-ordered came in almost at the end of my time slot. It was such a horrible experience. I know to not expect much from these places. It's hard to chase after little people on sugar highs too excited to realize they are missing one sock. But have a little dignity. There was trash on the floor, all over the floor not just in one place. Part of pizzas were strum around like road kill on the carpet. The look of the place alone made me want to hold my breath. The complimentary hand sanitizer had long since seen it's last day and I only had a travel size bottle of sanitizer with me! Of course, having the little one by my side meant I had to stay some length of time or risk what's left of my hearing from the sounds of his scream on the car ride home. I made it as short as possible. The games were in poor working order, prone to jamming, locking or other mysterious, "Is it supposed to do that?" anomalies. Even the soda machine had random used lids and straws, I know it was the kids but I can't guess why so not only did we not eat, we didn't drink. I gave away tokens to make the trip shorter when no one was looking. Never again. Don't get me wrong, it's not all Chuck E. Cheese's, just this one and possibly this one time. Wow- Disgusting. We asked our GPS to take us to the nearest Chuck E. Cheese, thinking he was going to bring us to the one in Centreville. It brought us to this one instead. I may return the GPS. Chuck E Cheeses on a good day are loud and crazy, so when we walked in, no alarms went off. The register is at the entrance, so I ordered some tokens and a pizza and we went to try to find a table. Took forever to find a table as the ones that didn't have people in them were covered with garbage and food waste. It was absolute anarchy in there. Kids running around WITH NO SHOES ON in and out of the bathroom, and then all over the rides. We tried 5 games/rides with my son and all were broken/out of order. The pizza is standard from location to location - practically warmed from the freezer, but while we were eating, I noticed several older children reach into various salad bar containers with their HANDS and eat from them. Then two kids were playing with the soda fountain - just pushing the buttons so soda ran and ran. Where are the employees? Walking around aimlessly with food trying to find the number tags on the tables. Trash cans were overfilled with trash and so people were just piling it up on the top of the bin. My husband agreed that we would leave after our son ate his pizza and go to the Centreville one, which has much better reviews, but my son was tired so we just left and went home. I watched 3 tables around me piled with trash sit that way for 15 minutes before they were approached by a staffer. Please tell me why parents think it's ok to let their children chase eachother running into people around a crowded place? Why didn't they stop their kids from putting their hands in the salad bar? This is a letter I wrote to CEC Enterprises about my experience. I think this says it all. This is my first time to this Chuck e Cheese restaurant. I had been to another with my daughter and we both enjoyed it. This time though, not. First off, there are quite a few games that did not work, no signs on them letting you know they dont work, not enough staff working there walking around to worry about telling them. We lost 5-8 tokens on machines that did not work. Other than that, the other games worked well. The pizza we had was enjoyable. My daughter had fun. All was an ok time, until I took my daughter into the bathroom. It is quite OBVIOUS the staff/management there does NOT CARE at all about the cleanliness of the bathroom. I had to take my 4 year old daughter into the mens bathroom, and both unoccupied stalls, the toilets were so incredibly disgusting, I honestly do not know the last time I saw a bathroom in this kind of mess. The seats not only had, pardon my language, but urine, on the seats. But the urine had been there long enough, that it was DRIED ON THE SEAT. I took a piece of toilet paper, wet it with water and tried to wipe the seat off, and some of the urine would NOT COME OFF. The back edge of the sea was so yellow with urine, totally covered the backside of the seat, as it it was pooled on it, that it has had to be days if not weeks since that bathroom had been cleaned. I can understand a busy place like that, a bathroom can get a little messy, but my god, not like this. Especially a place for CHILDREN. How would you like to take your children to a place like this. I had to cover the seat in toilet paper and gently place her on it, so she could go to the bathroom. And to top if off there was a USED DIAPER on the floor! Now its not your fault people piss on the seats, its not your fault that someone is sick in the head enough to throw a diaper on the floor. But it is the restaurants job, and responsibly to go in there a few times a day to check the condition of it and clean the damn thing. I am so sick from this experience, it will be a long time before I take my daughter back to a chuck e cheese and the hell if I will ever bring her back to this one. I was actually pretty impressed with the organization of the front desk staff and the cleanliness of the salad bar. I would advise packing sammies or waiting until you get home, just not worth the dramz. From what I could see, the staff were doing the best that they could under what I would consider trying conditions. As described in others' comments, kids are running around everywhere, a trillion birthday parties are going on at once, so much is happening...These hard-working Chuck E Cheese employees are constantly clearing tables, cutting and serving cakes on behalf of parents, getting items, running to and fro, and handling more than the average person should have to handle in such a setting. This place is probably most ideal for kids ages 3-5. They have lots of games targeting children in this age group. Littler ones might like some of the rides or offerings and older kids through 10 will still be entertained. If you're looking for a one-stop shop for food (what kid doesn't like pizza?), entertainment, and service, then Chuck E Cheese is probably your best bet. Just tone down your expectations if this is your first time booking a Chuck E Cheese event. Seats will be grimy. Bathrooms will show evidence of frequent use by potty-trained and non-potty-trained visitors. Pizza will not be amazing... Again, it's Chuck E Cheese. It's convenient. It's dependable. And it's got a winning formula for your easily entertained and just as easily miffed kiddo. Some have complained about management, about things like shoes being all over the place and no place to put them. The shoe situation is a valid concern. Not sure what solution, if any, they'll come up with in the future. I don't think the shoes alone, though, are a dealbreaker. At the end of the day, parents should be watching their kids and if the shoe thing is that bothering, then just stay clear of that untidy area. I would seriously rather eat shards of glass covered in hot sauce while jamming flaming hot forks in my eyes than endure another second in this place. We were there on a Monday night for a birthday party. We were the only birthday party here. Tables were a mess, outside of those reserved for our group. The game areas were a mess (food left ON games, many games not working). Food was meh- pizza okay. My child would not touch her lemonade. Cake was like sugar coated cardboard, and the ice cream didn't taste right. If I wasn't pregnant, I would have partaken in the beer available just to make my two hours bearable. My biggest complaint was with the total chaos. Kids are left totally unattended by their parents. Parents who could not be bothered to supervise their children, and when they are confronted with their misbehaving child, pretend not to speak English. During the birthday party, several mothers spent their time chasing off kids who were not part of the party, who just decided that they were invited to join. Ages 3 through about 9 or 10. After the party part, back on the game floor kids are running around, knocking other children over, sometimes shoving them out of the way of games they are already playing. While picking my child up off the floor after being knocked down by a kid that felt the dancing game was for him so he jumped right in front/on top of my 4 year old, another child came along and helped herself to the tokens right in front of me. When I scolded the kid for stealing, she ran off and her father just looked and shrugged. When a manager was called to find parents of these wild and rude kids, not only did THEY not seem to care, the parents didn't care. Welcome to our future... lots of kids allowed to run wild and behave like the little a-holes they will be as adults. I told my daughter that we are never, ever going back. If I want to be mobbed and be responsible for tons of ill-behaved children who's parents can not be bothered to discipline them, I'd get a job as a Fairfax County school teacher. I had been to this location 8 years ago for a birthday party for another child, and I don't remember it being as awful as it is now. Never, ever again. Sorry kids. read more

I don't know when these other reviewers went to Chuck E.Cheese's, but since I get weekdays off we go on Tuesdays or Thursdays. It's always empty and freaking clean. Obviously I will never go on a weekend after what these folks complained of. I used the bathroom, and it was clean. We have gone 3 times and it was clean. The kids are the ones who screw it up because they are dirty devils, but that's how they are. Don't come here during the summer b/c that is when the day camps come during the day. The best time to come is on a weekday. I have a toddler so he's not in school, but once he hits elementary school then I will no longer come here b/c too many kids will make me give this place a one star. We never order the nasty pizza, but we do the salad bar. The last couple times the food was fresh and clean. I don't know how it is on the weekends when the kids screw it up. So I give this place 5 stars b/c I go with a 2 year old during the school year when all the nasty older rug rats are in school. It's clean and very quiet. And you can play a lot of games for $15 worth of tokens. I still have 70 tokens from previous trips. You go to an arcade and you have to spend a lot. For ex, at 6 Flags, 2 tokens is $1. Here with a coupon you can get $15 worth of 85 tokens. Can't beat that price. I wish they had more adult video games. So remember there is a difference if you go on a quiet school week day versus a weekend or a summer weekday. You will get chaos and dirty bathrooms during the latter versus the former, but since my kid is still 2 then I have a blast with my kid. When he's happy, I am happy. This is the 2nd time my kid went to that location and the 2nd time he came back with a stomach flu! His buddy also has the same. How, just how do you mess up chicken fingers and cheese pizza? The place overall is extremely dirty, they clean up after you catch a staff member and point him to spillages and leftovers. It's just plain nasty. Went here for a b-day for a child. The place is like a zoo, but that is what you would expect from a Chuck E Cheese, at least from my experience. The game selection isn't that great compared to a Namco Arcade (Springfield Mall, Potomac Mills, etc) But its okay to say the least. We had our daughter's birthday party here. She'd give it five stars and I guess that's the most important review. I felt like we were on a conveyor belt of birthday parties with about eight other parties taking place simultaneously. Pizza time, check. The birthday kid plays guitar with Chuck E, check. Here comes the cake, check. Don't start singing Happy Birthday until all tables are ready. Okay, every cake's candles are lit, sing! Now we eat cake, check. Ticket blaster, check. Okay kids, go play! I mean, they get over 100 kids through all of that in about 30 minutes, so good on them. It was very rushed and impersonal. But every one of my kid's friends left wanting their next party there so obviously they enjoyed it. As for food and service, pretty good. I didn't have high expectations. Our "party hostess" disappeared for 10 minutes at a time, which wasn't helpful. All that being said, it was worth the price, the kids had fun, and my daughter passed out in the car home.
