This is a terrible and very disorganized business. They cancelled camp for the 3rd time in a row once I showed up with my 2 children in tow. They lied and said they called me in advance to cancel and then admitted that was not true. They were reluctant to refund me (I still have not gotten my money back) and wanted to give me camp credit instead. We will never return. Be warned this is not a trustworthy or reliable business, and I would not trust them with my kids again. They also would not tell me the managers or owners name or give me their contact info. read more

My now four-year-old daughter has been taking classes with Mekkah* and Devon for about a year now, and there simply aren't enough words to capture what a delight it has been. When she started the year, it was a struggle to get her to join in the class at all - and now she can't be stopped! This class has done wonders for her physical confidence, which is exactly what we'd hoped for. She's also learned all sorts of fun sports, exercises, and games - which then make appearances in the rest of our lives. Devon and Mekkah are talented, creative teachers with seemingly infinite patience - and they make every class exciting. Now my daughter is the one to remind me, every week, that it's "Our Gym Day", and we just can't miss it. *I fervently hope I'm spelling this right! read more

What makes or breaks this place is the teachers. Miss Mekka and Kat are great, and Miss Vicki as well but she appears to not work there anymore. Everyone else frankly just isn't worth the price and the experience is significantly different depending on the teachers. We have been attending for about 6 months and I've never seen the owner or anyone in charge which is odd. We are pretty disappointed recently because the current teachers are not engaging or exciting. Not everyone can be a great my gym teacher. Once it gets warmer I plan to cancel but I'd suggest to the owner to chose more carefully as it does affect the quality of class and the business as well. Classes are boring now so we are ready to cancel...Also lots of sick kids attending as well as teachers even though they send out emails that seem like they enforce a strict sick policy they don't seem to follow it. read more

We've been going with our 3 kids since their grand opening this fall. The teachers are warm and engaging, and able to keep the kids mostly on task. In our experience, there is a terrific teacher:student ratio, sometimes 1:2 or 1:3. This location is extremely convenient to our home, so it's worth paying a little more than we would outside of McLean. Overall, we're very happy. read more

We have been going to this MyGym location since it first opened and have been very pleased with our experience! My almost 3 yo really enjoys the classes. We have attended tumbling classes through Arlington County and this is far more engaging for him - they incorporate some active skills, but also use puppets, sing songs, and learn about different objects. It keeps the kids engaged and active far more than some of the other things we have done. My son is also learning to follow directions and interact with different teachers, which I really like as a stepping stone to preschool since he doesn't attend yet. The teachers are good, but Ms Lena really stands out as someone super comfortable and warm with the kids. The facility is new so it is certainly very nice and clean. And finally, I really like the easy online account access. We have had to do a few makeup classes (awesome that they offer this - especially because it encourages people to leave sick kids home!) and it is super easy to go online and select a class to attend for makeup. Your account will also keep track of how many makeups you have. Obviously my husband and I are very pleased! My only small complaint is that I wish they would offer a sibling class and perhaps they will down the road. I would love to be able to have my two toddler boys together in one class, but since the skills and content seem to be pretty age specific, I'm not totally sure how that would work! read more

We were visiting some family in the area (they go to this facility weekly) and were able to join them for a class and my kids loved it! We recently hosted my daughter's third birthday at this location and the party was a big success. I was particularly impressed with the staff working the party as they were so engaging with the kids and very cheerful all around! I have started taking my twin 2.5 year olds and it has become an absolute hit. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Every week the children practice different skills and the play space constantly changes. I find the other parents and carers who take their children there to also be very friendly so it's fun for me too. read more

The new My Gym McLean hosted my daughter's 4th birthday party and it was fantastic. The kids had a blast - one even cried when they said it was time to go. Such an easy and enjoyable way to have a kid party. No muss, no fuss. The owner and her team were great to deal with and friendly and you could tell they were having fun too. Highly recommend!
