It was definitely over-crowded and quite hard to find a table to sit down. We eventually found one right at the back of the store. The kids had the best time but scramble employees were no where to be found! There was no one monitoring kids. My kid got hurt a few times by slightly older kids and it was quite chaotic. The staff were not cleaning at all. You have to remove your shoes before entering the play area but the toilets are located inside the play designated area which means you have to go into the bathroom with socks on which is very gross. They should allow shoes in the bathroom area. Also the soap dispensers were empty and the lady that cleans the bathroom just hung out in the bathroom not really cleaning or filling the soap. The cafe - there are food options for kids and adults. We did try the kids pizza and French fries. The pizza was fine( cheese) but the fries were not good. It tasted like they fried it in very old oil. They do have coffee but I did not try it as the didn't have an option for skim milk. They do not allow outside food or drink but no one seems to really monitor that. Security - ok so this is non-existent. There is a door that divides outside area with inside play area but kids can easily open the door and leave the premises. The lady that stands by the door doesn't monitor kids matches with their guardians. She just opens and closes the door and often she is not there at all. They do not give wristbands at all or any form of security feature. So watch your kids closely while you are there as once they go into that massive play area it's difficult to locate them. The kids seemed to enjoy it as they don't worry about germs , dirt or food. I mean it's fine for an hour or so but honestly it was the last resort when deciding on a place to take the kids too. They also charge the adults an entry fee!!! ‍ I mean it's not like we are playing in the kids areas . I think we paid $55 for entry (2 kids and 2 adults). Would I go back? Not by choice but if the kids asked then I would consider it for an hour or two. ( definitely not on a weekend though).

We went there during a recent heat wave, and it was such a relief to have a place to play with air conditioning (and that wasn't tearing up our own home). There are activities for kids of various ages, including a baby-centric exploration area and a huge maze that's good for elementary aged kids. There are lots of big soft blocks to stack, ball pits, and cute themed play areas. But it's definitely for younger kids. Tweens and up probably wouldn't be interested. The cons: Supervision is minimal and some kids get very rowdy. Rules seem to be enforced in a haphazard way. I've seen kids standing on the windowsills and banging on the glass, stacking toys to dive onto the ground, and piling four at a time onto the slides. You should keep an eye on the toddler crowd to make sure that older kids aren't shoving them. Lots of parents grab a drink or food to relax while their kids run wild. If that's your vibe, this place is a good fit. But it's also good for parents who want to be a bit more hands on--you can let your child explore while keeping them in close sight for much of the space. Also remember to wear socks!

Now I have a 13 year old with a different attitude and eye rolling. Yet coming back here was worth it. You do have to park on neighborhood streets, but unless a nice weekend, it's relatively a cinch. This park is fenced in. Please still watch your kids though! There are a lot of toys for them to play with. I think people donate items here. There's also some playground equipment. It's not fancy but it's good for small children and families.

Right on the street next to the park, I had no problems finding multiple parking spots which was great! Bathrooms: right on the side, nothing fancy. Single bathrooms, spacious to bring your stroller in. Park: park itself looked underwhelming but once I started strolling through, I noticed how many play areas there were. There were at least 4 different swing areas (bucket and regular swings), there was a sandbox with toys (no slide anymore), two park playgrounds (one for toddlers one for big kids) and plenty of benches for parents, along with a sort of merry go round that my son loved pushing Crowd: great diversity and different ages there. When I went there were a lot of nanny groups and kids all playing together. My son is a little younger than the crowd and isn't used to playing with others but he enjoyed watching nearby. Seating: like I said, tons of benches set up at each little attraction, a good amount of picnic tables where the older kids were having lunch outside which I loved! Overall my son stayed for 1.5 hours and would've stayed longer if we weren't needing to leave for nap time. Great time! Wish I had taken more pictures but I'll update with overall area pictures when we go back next which I know will be in the next couple days!

The piece de resistance is a 360 swing with three tethered seats that one can sit or stand on and whose speed can be regulated by a designated person pushing any singular unit with clockwise or counterclockwise. Think of it as a manually powered version of one of those swing rides at any amusement park at low elevation for 3 participants. As for the name, it is based on the remnant of an old log structure that sits near the picnic area so there is some historical significance to the space. ADA access and walking path available but no restrooms although Harris Teeter is a hop and skip away.

Since it was our first visit, Cora took the time to walk us through the layout and answer all of our questions. The food was fresh, delicious, and exceeded our expectations. As an added bonus, they have Wi-Fi! I was able to get some work done while my toddler had a blast playing. Highly recommend this place--we'll definitely be coming here from now on!

We have tried other types of places in the area, and all of them have pluses and minuses. I would say it's a large space and I'd like the fact that the play area is not very close to the door. The bathrooms are kind of far away, which is kind of annoying. There are a significant number of play areas for the little ones that also for the kids who are 5+. I can't say I was wow-ed, though. When we came in, we were sort of greeted, but it wasn't this like fun atmosphere. It was kind of just a large industrial space. There seemed to be a party going on, but it didn't seem that festive. Overall, we may come back, but there really wasn't anything that would definitely draw us back.

Bonuses: There were many plastic ride on vehicles and cozy coupes scattered around for the kids to use. My nephew loved playing and riding on them. Where I am from most playgrounds do not have sandboxes but in this area, it's hard to visit a park without one. Since the park is small, it gets crowded. We ended up leaving after about 90 minutes because it was getting harder to socially distance. There is a jungle gym for little kiddos near the sandbox and on the other side, one for bigger kids. I love that it is all mulch which makes it a softer blow on falls. The equipment seems older here, but no kids I know would care about that. There are bathrooms as well as picnic tables, a large grass field, and basketball courts. Parking is on-street and can be tricky. We both enjoyed Lacey Woods and will add it to our park rotation.
