I'll break it down: Entertainment: Four stars. My three year old loved all the games. It lives up to its slogan, "Where a kid can be a kid." Food: Two stars. Not great, but what I expected. Overpriced in my opinion. Customer service: Two stars. They forgot our food and after some convincing gave us a refund. Never got our full order. The staff wasn't especially rude, but weren't very apologetic either. This is based on one visit, so maybe it was just a bad night. I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt, but they severely need work on how to work with the public if our experience is the norm. Overall: Three stars, which I feel is generous. This place is absolutely TERRIBLE. I've been here dozens of times but now it's just completely SHITTY. Managers Barbara (the one with glasses), and Mayreese (fluffy hair?), are incompetent. They have no customer service manners whatsoever. Food took at least an hour to come out, even though there was almost no one in the store. I thought i'd give this place another try because my kids love it so much, but a couple of the workers today ruined that completely. Cheyan? She was at the prize counter, she was rude and impatient. The employees here purposely ignore customers. It's like they are ALLERGIC to giving service! The prices for the tickets are worth pennies if you buy them elsewhere. I was there today and they did nothing to enforce indoor masks at all. There were more adults and kids maskless than there were masked. There is a mask mandate sign posted on the door but obviously none of the employees cared to enforce it. I am sad because my toddler loves this place but it now feels unsafe during these times. read more

Came in Sat ~1pm with my kid. We had so much fun at this childhood staple. Three birthday parties occurring while familiar songs from the staff and character animatronics. Safe, indoor, and a familiar place to have kids gather. Plenty of seating to eat. Spread out enough that there's no bumping into each other while playing games. The food and prize redemption area can get a bit crowded. The most appreciative part of this place is the honesty of the employees and manager. While there, I accidentally dropped my iPhone. In a panic (sadly, I've realized I've become so dependent on the phone beside just the cost and hassle of replacing one), went to the front counter. One of the employee, Elija/Elia (sp?), said he found and turned in my phone to the manager. After a few "security" questions, from I'm guessing it was the manager, gave me my phone back. Worst Customer Service Award goes to Manager Barbara. Waited in line for 30 minutes for her to rudely tell my family that the kitchen was closed (we were there at 3:00pm). As an angry line of about 20 guests waited behind me, never once did she have common courtesy to apologize to her guests or inform them that they wouldn't be served. Yes, it's loud. Yes, it's chaotic. It's for kids, expect that. What I didn't expect was the many games that happily took tokens then didn't perform, and the attitude I got from the doorman who was clearly annoyed at my girl's excitement upon entering (Dude, YOU WORK AT CHUCK E. CHEESE...) Of course, the kids were thrilled and fed token after token into anything that had a quarter-thin slot with haste, without regard. It was a job to keep an eye on both and guide them through some of the games. Reno and I commanded the air hockey table for quite some time and had a blast, but the little guy always seemed to pull off the win ;) I stole some time alone with the pinball machine, found myself yelling "God I love pinball! I forgot how much!" and hastily feeding in several more tokens. The apple doesn't fall far, then. This is a new location. It's clean, considering. We didn't eat here, and I suggest you do the same. January 10th 2016, My wife put a $50 dollar deposit down on December 27th for a chuck e cheese birthday party (for our 3 year old daughter), they got her name and info from their computer and told her that every thing would be taken care of for the day we needed (Jan 10th) We get to the chuck e cheese, with a total of 33 people coming and they didn't have any thing set up, in fact they didn't have anything even in their system for our party in which money was taken to secure the party spot. My wife starts freaking out, so I jump in and start talking to the managers. Manager 1 was trying very hard to see what happened... Manager 2 (who was a "manager in training") was a complete idiot. Confrontational, rude, wouldn't listen to anything me or my wife told her, and then stormed off with major attitude and even in such a loud environment, I could still hear her complaining under her "breath" she has absolutely no business being a "manager in training" in fact who ever thought that was a good idea, I highly question their manager skills as well. No customer should ever be talked to they this "training manager" talked to me and my wife. Manager 1 finally admitted to seeing that they had the money for the party put couldn't do anything cause they already had a booked up section. Needless to say, we called round table while still there and got a room for all 33 people and they were the best. Chuck e cheese sucked it while my daughter was crying, wondering why she couldn't play and have "her party" manager 1 gave us back our deposit, but it was the most terrible service I've ever encountered in any kinda retail/food service environment. WE WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN THAT CHUCK E CHEESE AGAIN. Don't book your parties there. The round table on treat and oak grove is always a better option. Especially in a pinch, and they knocked it out of the part with phenomenal service and an experience. I am not a fan of branding towards children. The self promoting at Chucky Cheese is way over the top. So as a company, I'm not a fan. However, I think it would be unfair not to recognize the organization and work of the staff. The place was loud, crawling with kids on a Saturday afternoon. It looked like Vegas for children, but no one was using their indoor voices. It could be overwhelming for people who are not use to kids. Realize I'm writing this as I am expecting my first baby myself. I'm sure any seasoned parent would have laughed at my expression reading "Oh man, is this what I'm in for?" I was the second family member to show up at the long table. Our host Virgina made her appearance immediately. Then the manager Cynthia, introduced herself to let us know if there are any issues to come ask for her. The two birthday boys showed up, and Virgina had everything under control. She explained the system, 45 mins of play, followed by pizza. She gave them their tokens and off they went. Pretty easy. The mom could just sit and talk with the adults while dad played games with the kids. Then came the pizza announcement on the loud speaker. They came running back, we ate our food. I was most impressed how well the staff regulated the kids during the show. Here Virgina stayed with us at the table and only focused her attention on my nephews. She was great with them as she explained the show is about to start and at the same time we would have cake. Chucky personally was going to wish them a happy birthday. The whole table (all scattered brained relatives who are hard of hearing) kept saying lets go play games with the boys, but Virgina kindly reminded them the cake was coming as soon as the candles on the TV screen melted. You see, the kids were not the only ones who needed regulating. I was impressed how well Virgina managed a group of distracted adults with early signs of dementia. The show started and Virgina was right by my nephews side cheering them on and encouraging them to dance and say hi to Chucky. I was really impressed by Virgina's work and effort to make the family happy. The place is nuts and so much can go wrong in a second, but with a host like Virgina, it was probably the easiest birthday party any parent would have to coordinate. Approaching the chaotic world of parenting myself, I am relieved to know there are people like the Chucky Cheese staff who can help us out with such mountainous events such as birthdays. Thanks Virgina! A side note that I hope you'll tag as "useful", the whole Chuck Cheese party process takes about three hours, no joke. It includes, playtime, eating, show/cake, then each birthday child goes into the crazy machine that blows tickets everywhere, then they open presents sometime. It's a lot for anyone not use to the kids atmosphere, so brace yourself and if you're the parent, make sure the kids are well rested the night before. read more

I think some people are wayyyyyyy too sensitive and don't understand what a place like Chuck E. Cheese is about. It isn't about them, it's about their kids. I went on a Tuesday night at about 6:30 and the place was about 1/5 full. The server gave us a great deal, probably some coupon promotion that was going on. Didn't matter to her that we didn't have it, helped us out anyways. The facility was spotless, it seemed that 99% of the games worked, and was a great spot to spend a family night. Four stars because the food is..... marginal. Pizza would probably be better with more toppings maybe. But my kids will definitely be going back. Great place! read more

Thanks to a previous review by another party goer, I called into a manager to make sure our reservations were all set for the 23rd. And they also called a few days before the party to check in with regarding our guest count. So that was definitely reassuring. We got there a little before 10 am and after a few minutes of waiting, we were introduced to our party host, Mariela. Very pleasant from the beginning, she went over our everything that was included in the package we requested. Guests started to trickle in & everything was smooth sailing. Mariela checked in with us from time to time, even though the place started to get really busy & a little chaotic (what do you expect on a weekend...duh). But she was the best & if you're lucky to get her, you're in for a less stressful party. One thing I would want to mention is the time spent in our rental area. I felt like 2 hrs was too short. Maybe the xtra half hour to an hour to grab everyone's coats, the gifts, xtra pizza & cake to set aside to an outside booth area would help so we wouldn't feel so rushed to get the steppin'. Good thing there were xtra booths considering how crazy busy it was by noon. Other than that tiny snag, the place was bigger and cleaner than other Chuck E. Cheese's we've been to. And it was just nice not to have to worry about too much, unlike when planning/hosting a party at home. Our birthday girl and her fam & friends totally enjoyed themselves. Even the adults were reminded how fun it was to be a "kid" again. Hope to be back soon to redeem tickets, since we decided to skip doing that. All the more reason to return for some more fun! Being a kid at heart (and mind), this place was pretty freakin' awesome. One token for ANY game of your choice, even the roller coaster simulator for two or photo sketch machine! Made my $10 bucks stretch out for miles in games. Mad props to the friendly staff and clean establishment because from a grown-up's POV, they make throwing birthday parties less hectic. My sister had my niece's birthday bash here on a Tuesday around 11am so the place was super empty. Kind of creepy with the silence and moving animatronic but hey, no crowds right? Good amount of yummy pizza for the hungry tots and I totally LOVE the free refills. I also love how the staff announces when an event is happening, like the food coming or if the animatronic mouse is gonna start singing and dancing the robot... They even have a costumed Chuck E. Cheese come out to greet the kids when it's time to bring out the cake. Totally takes the guesswork out of planning the party yourself or even keeping track of time while you're busy chasing 10 energetic tots around. This is most especially useful considering you're given only two short hours to party it up with food, so best save the hardcore gaming for after chowing down and getting selfies with the mouse. Despite the fact it felt like the venue was void of any workers other than the hostess and costumed performer, whenever a machine was broken or you wanted to retrieve a prize, an employee would magically appear and take care of everything promptly. So A+ to this location for hiring a bunch of genies. You totally deserve it. read more

Can you imagine taking your children to an establishment, solely designed for kids to have fun.. but in reality it is a miserable, dirty joint with THE MOST RUDE employees in the world, not to mention also very expensive and they are not worth a penny of that money. My grand-kid (5yo) walked up to the cashier to ask a question, got scolded and sent away...when I walked up to her to question her attitude, she ran into the kitchen. Not even once have we greeted with a simple hello or smiley face in this place, ever... I want to like Chuck E Cheese because my son loves it so much, but the place is a mess. We only come for birthday parties on weekends - and this is why: - you enter in to find a salad bar that is a complete disaster. Half empty, with food spilled everywhere. Although I did not have a salad, it's not a very welcoming sign - employees were even late to get the birthday boy's parents started (signed in, give them the tokens for the party, etc), their staffing seemed very low - I swear half the machines were broken - either not printing photos or cards, eating coins, or just broken with a sign on them. I went and asked for a few coins to make up for what coins were eaten by machine, and they wanted to know EXACTLY which machines at the coins. I went at the end of our stay since they were so poorly staffed - finding someone right after having a problem with each machine would have been too time consuming. They were not so forgiving of a problem that is probably a very common problem here. - All but two ticket counter machines were working. At the end of the night, this leaves long lines of kids trying to insert tickets to claim their prize They have the upper hand since there are not many indoor spaces like this, but imagine how much better they could do if things were better maintained and managed (including proper staffing). We have been to the Dublin location on a weekday, and it's fine. But weekends are frustrating at either location for parents! read more

My nieces and nephew have had their birthday parties here several times. The hostess who have helped us each time have been great and very accomodating. They'd check up on us and make sure we were ok. The food is great also. The pizza's, chicken wings, bread sticks and salad are good. The games are fun and the prizes are also great. The place is loud because there are tons of kids having a blast. If you are sensitive to loud noice or cannot tolerate children running around, this isn't a place for you. All in all, this is a great place for kids to come and have fun. If you decide to hold a birthday party here, go for it! I'd totally recommend it. read more

I had my daughter's 5th Birthday party here. I have to say that my host was the best of the best!! His name was Arnuifo. He made this party stress free, treated my daughter like she was the only kid there and gave me a really good deal on her party! He helped us with everything and if we had a question, he had an answer! I have to say that is was one of the best party's we had so far. They did the cake, goodie bags and the ice cream! I didn't have to bring anything with me and I loved that! The place was not over crowded at all for it being on a Sunday. It is what it is. For this kind of place, the food isn't THAT bad. My kids LOVE it. I have had both excellent service and SLOWWWW service. A few suggestions...... The security tv should be in the back of the place so parents can see the door. Don't see the point of having it right by the door, the camera yes but the monitor should be somewhere else. Came here at noon with my niece and nephews. It was my nieces birthday and she received a sticker and some FREE tokens :) You can bring your kids here and save a few bucks. I printed out some coupons and had a good deal with tokens, pizza, and drinks. There was a special going on as well with their deserts ($1 off). The kids had fun and I did to. Something about being in the East Bay makes it different than being in SF. Maybe it's the food or the people but they say you can't judge it until you've tried it from experience and that's what I'm all about. This Chuck E Cheese has become my favorite pick over San Bruno bc of less crowds, more options and bigger area for the kids to run around in. Weekends aren't even as bad as I pictured it and it's even better when there are workers on the floors monitoring the kids when parents aren't around. A definitely got to spot!! Ok, so today Chuck E. Cheese in concord royally messed up today. Took my 2 grandsons to a friends daughters bday party today. First of all, you only get to reserve a spot for 1 hr only, but when your 45 mins into your hour and the food finally arrives, then you have to rush to feed the kids and the sing happy birthday, strike #1. Then, I decided to order a family boneless wings and cheesy bread sticks to-go, for dinner. 1 hr and 15 mins later nada. I go to counter to ask for a refund and I feel like I'm being questioned as to did I really not get the food. Hell, I was still holding the number the give you when you order your food, which they are to take once they drop your food at the table. Then I'm told the food was dropped off on the table. I had been sitting at the same table I was at since my order was placed, strike #2. The to top the cake, another woman was standing next to me to also get a refund, after waiting to the wings they had purchased, the get them with all the bbq sauce and the work and the wings are still frozen. STIRKE #3. Seriously, the bottom of the tray had cold spots from the still frozen chicken. So, I finally got my refund and then they had the nerve to give sum games cards for my grandsons to come back. NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS LOCATION. Well I have to say the price of a trip to have some pizza and play video games sure have changed. With coupons for 2 pizza's 4 soft drinks and 2 1 hour play cards it was just over $100. When out hour time cards ran out I pulled out 2 play passes I had kept from years ago that had 50 credits on them. Long story short, my son was playing one of the video games and the plate that holds the controls was missing a screw and loose. So as he was playing his play card slid under the control plate... so I go to the front to get someone. So I head back to the marking figuring a game tech would come out , open it up and retrieve my sons card. The gentleman whom approached was not a tech, I am going to assume he was the manager. He asked if it was a card with time or with credits, I told him credits. He asked if I knew how much was in it, I said 50, he asked my son how many he used abs we figured about 4. He said he would be back with a replacement card. He came back gave us the card I thanked him and we ended up getting ready to leave. My son asked me how many credits the card had, so I said probably 50, figuring if he would just be safe and do 50 because we didn't exactly know how many it had. So on the way out we stopped at the machine and checked the balance. I had to check it twice, he gave us 100 credits. That shocked and impressed me. With the price of a days trip I didn't know how often I would be taking my son, but because of this stellar service we will be back soon. Thank you sir! read more

Very upset at this Chuck E Cheese!!!!! Last time I went for my birthday and there were these homeless kids begging for coins and I gave them some but then they kept begging and begging and I think the staff should have gave them free coins so they wouldn't bother people. After awhile I got tired of their begging and gave them the rest of my coins and left cause it wasn't fun playing the games anymore. I think if homeless kids go in there the staff should let them have some free coins so they don't beg :( It's kind of sad to see that happen. read more

I took my kids this weekend and It will probably be our last time. There was only one person at the register and we had to wait a long time to order our food. We also got time passes instead of points and about half of the games were either out of service or the tickets would not come out. People constantly had to get someone to fix them and the ones labeled "out of service" were never fixed. It was complete rip-off. Then, they also only had one person to trade the tickets and we had to wait over 30 minutes just to get a few pieces of candy. I do not recommend this place. You can get more for your money elsewhere. It is not worth the high prices they now charge. My kids were very disappointed. read more
