With that being said city officials should hold their head in shame. Parking is almost non existent , the skatepark itself is made of a really rough cement that hurts to fall on and whoever designed this park has almost surely never skated in their life. Obstacles with no run up to speak of that even if you could land something on would almost certainly lead to an injury. This park is borderline a safety hazard. Skaters will always make do so I'm sure there's a couple locals that love their park but concord deserves better. Luckily I was in the area and didn't waste my time making a trip out here.

There are so many overrated parks around - this is not one of them. I think its an underrated park in an underrated city. Martinez is one of these cities that just isn't Walnut Creek or Danville or Orinda. A more affordable city and a family friendly one. Its good to get out and take a walk. I recommend you do that once in a while and why not try a different park from what your used to every once in a while? If you have a dog they will particularly love it sniffing around someplace new. Some of the park is noticed from the main road - Morello. You might even see some people enjoying the basketball hoop from there. Just the 'curb appeal' of the park will get you interested to see more. When I got here with Sweets had in gear this launch mode I hadn't seen since he was a bit younger. His enthusiasm was intense and I was surprised since for the most part he just likes to stay at home - Netflix and chill. There really is something for the whole family to enjoy here. You probably lost all your money there or just got kicked out - they don't tolerate any nonsense whatsoever - oh well you learned your lesson and good thing you have your skateboard in the back trunk. The trash was only up front and the toilet was a space age looking thing. Looked like a flying saucer. How cool is that? They call them the Portland Loo. This little park is as good as it gets. Incredible design - somebody did a great job squeezing it in. Half of it opens up to a parking lot so there isn't this claustrophobia inducing feeling when your there. Some good lighting even at night - which is great as the sun sets early now. Grab your skateboard and come here - you'll be as happy as my cat with his beach side crunch party mix treats.

Several scooter riders do flips regularly without a problem. When I saw it for the first time, it appeared to be a single level, but there are several different levels to it, all surrounded by a fence. Riders were mostly quiet, doing their thing. Watch out for the little, little ones because they're not paying attention. There is no supervision, so even though there are rules, they may or may not be followed. Helmets should be worn, regardless. Parking is just outside the skate park.

This is one of the biggest outdoor public play structures in the Bay Area that I've been to so far. There are picnic tables available for rental, and it's a great place to host a kids' birthday party. There is some shade in the play structure area, but I wish there were more. There are public restrooms, but they need more frequent cleaning during the weekend. I came here on a hot Sunday, and there were a smoothie/shave ice truck and a soft serve truck parked nearby in the swim center parking lot for purchase.
