If you're wondering how much their classes are or any information about class schedule you'll have to go in for a trial class. I brought my daughter in this week and we will not be returning. The "trial" is also not free as you would expect a trial to typically be (I did? As some of the other reviews say this place is run by mostly younger folks. I did see several teens working. Once you complete the 45 min trial class someone will give you a quick test to see what skills you posses and then let you know what skill level class you should take. There was something about this place that didn't feel right to me. It feels like a money grab. Now after having gone once I am hearing this from a lot of people who have had the same experience. We will be staying at our gym now in Walnut Creek. read more

At first glance, this cheer gym seems age & developmentally appropriate for younger kids but actually isn't. Many people recommend this gym in the area, and it was actually an unpleasant experience. The owner is extremely rude & completely condescending. You can tell this place isn't about the kids, but the MONEY and the WINS. They also need to be trained on neurodivergent children, after the experience myself and now a few other parents have come together and spoke about today with me. The coaches are teenagers, so you can expect children teaching children. Half the time they played duck duck goose. For $219 a month, that seems pretty silly to me. Spend the time and research more like I should have. There are way better places out there, that are really about the children and having FUN. read more

We took our daughters to initial tryouts where every kid makes a team and they had fun. My 6 year old was unprepared with crocs on because she chose to audition last minute and they got her fitted and let her tryout. My 4 year old went potty in between routines and was completely lost when she came back and they worked with her. The front desk introduced themselves and gave me a mild tour upon arrival which was unexpected. It's a good atmosphere and they're working on the AC. It's family ran and family oriented and they seem like a great cheer group to work with our youth. We had an awesome first experience. read more

You're paying close to $200 a month for your child to be taught by high school teenagers. Coming from gymnastics, we thought it would be fun to try cheer and tumbling for a change. We were expecting it to be a similar structure as gymnastic schools-- that is, classes run by trained, adult professionals with structure and clear objectives. This place is so very poorly ran. I was shocked to see my child's "instructors" were no less than a couple of literal high school children themselves. I don't know about you, but I do not want my child being taught stunts, tumbling, or any type of potentially harmful physical activities by other children. Not only that, but these teen "instructors" would have clear favorites which they would give special help and attention to and others who were left to figure out these dangerous handstands, etc on their own! Not safe. All in all, I couldn't justify spending close to $200 a month for my little one, who had years of gymnastics experience (being taught by competent adults) to now downgrading and being taught by teenagers, who could care less about their jobs. All at double the price of regular gymnastics! The idea of this place is good, however, there needs to be more cheer classes than just one a week. They need to upgrade the staff and make sure that they're having competent adults teaching the classes and not letting teenagers run the place. Teenagers sit at the front desk and check people in. At times I couldn't even find a single adult in the building. And then, on top of that, these teenagers are teaching our kids how to do stunts and dangerous tumbling? Where are the adult teachers? I do feel like it was a waste of my money, time, and efforts to get my little one enrolled here. Needless to say, we no longer come here. read more

This is a review for Cheer gyms semi private lessons. We did two privates to help our daughter master her back handspring. She can do these on the air track but needs to perfect for grass. The class description implied this would be a focus. Long story short after 2 classes they hadn't even attempted a back handspring or used any of the specialized equipment. They did stretching and circuit training and when we complained, they told us they were building strength. It was a lot of money to pay for no tangible progress or even a legitimate assessment of her skill. Posting because I wish we would have known that these lessons would be useless and worse that the gym really didn't care when we complained. Well run schools care enough to try to make it right. Save your money or redirect it to a school that cares. read more

This is our first year at Cheergyms and our nine-year-old daughter LOVES it! She loves to tumble, dance and perform, and we wanted her to be part of a team, so we thought this would be the perfect sport to try. She has already learned so many new skills and has gained confidence and friends as she works with her team. We are very happy with the environment at Cheergyms. It is welcoming, accepting, and we love the family-run atmosphere. All of the coaches are wonderful. When my daughter had to miss her last performance because of sickness, her coach went above and beyond to include her via facetime which absolutely made her day. We found this spot because my daughter loves both dance and tumbling, but didn't always love the other parts of her gymnastics or dance only classes. This will be our 3rd year doing summer prep, and despite our numerous other activities, including various dance and gymnastics classes, this is the one she always comes back to. It's a family business (with a mother/daughter/and adorable granddaughter in the minis). It took some time and consistency, but she is progressing quickly now and always excited to go. If you want a real cheer program (which quite honestly I had no idea about this sport before), this place is great. They really take the time to get to know the kids and promote a fun learning environment. read more

My daughter and son love going to cheer gym. They care about helping the kids improve there technique and confidence. My daughter has went from not playing sports at all to being able to do backflips in just a little over a year. She goes about 4 days a week and loves it. Every time the kids master a new skill they make a big deal about it and the kids love it. My son does parkour classes a few times a week and he has fun every time and gets a lot of exercise. read more

Ive been going to cheergyms.com since i was 4, it's now been 9 years and i'm still cheering there!! I love cheergyms.com so much and i've made so many friendships and family there. Not only is cheergyms a AMAZING gym you learn a lot more than cheerleading, the life lessons i've been taught from the amazing coaches really do help us through not only cheer but everyday life. Not really a gym you can go to if you're child is not already trained. This was her second season of all star cheer because her original gym closed due to Covid. They provide no enrichment classes other than tumbling, which were all offered at about 4 or 4:30 PM for her level. Meaning that unless you are a stay at home mom and live in the area, your child won't be able to attend the tumbling class that's "included" in their tuition. I can't say that only larger gyms offer enrichment classes, because her previous gym was very small and they offered enrichment, training, routine, and tumbling. They also were very small with one room. Also, other than teaching their routine, they taught no skills during the "Practice." You either have the skills to do what they needed, or you didn't. I asked about other classes because I wanted to make sure she could grow her skills. I asked about the tumbling class and was told they would offer one At a later schedule in October because the time slot they wanted to offer was filled with another class. When October came around, I was told they changed their mind. The coaching was perfectly fine and the routine was great, but the logistics of the gym sucked. And their attitude at the desk is either you like it or you don't. I didn't, so after a half year, we didn't go back. read more

Took tumbling privates there, classes got canceled about three times. It wasn't the fact that they got canceled that annoyed me, but the fact that we were only alerted of the fact less than an hour before the private. This meant that sometimes we had already arrived there, only to find out it had been canceled. This lack of communication was highly annoying. The owner can actually be Very Rude & condescending & has a big ego in his emails, although in person he's friendlier. They hide any info about their programs and The Expensive Price of their classes until you already sign up with your credit card, come for a meeting/first class & already signed their papers(owner literally refused any info unless you sign up already!). They are 30-45 dollars more than other top, reputable, award winning cheer gyms in the area. They make you sign a year long or shorter contract to attend their tumbling classes (abnormal!) and charge you Even More if you don't choose the 12 month contract. You have to Literally Ask how much it costs before they handwrite the price for you. (Sure it's unlimited classes, but not all kids can attend more than once a week. So there should be a one class option like a normal cheer gym.) The parents are seated so close to the tumbling classes that my child felt awkward being stared at the whole time. They act like any child can join their teams, yet that is not the case. They need to be experienced and comfortable enough to perform the moves almost immediately. The coaches are too young and don't know how to coach that well. They definitely need more coaches and some helper/teen coaches to help with their youngest teams. Also a longer prep time before competing. Doesn't seem age or developmentally appropriate & in comparison to other award winning cheer gyms. They also are snobby & exclusive. They act like anyone can take their tumbling classes and that is not the case..... Do Not Go Here...... read more

This cheer gym is all staffed by teenagers who don't know what they are doing. They don't teach your kid well if you are Mexican or not blonde. They are horrible, discriminatory and super-expensive. Its a waste time for you to put your child there. They do not address your concerns nor complaints and deny that anything is wrong with them. Go elsewhere-like CYC for cheer-leading and gymnastics. go somewhere else if you want quality instruction for your kid. read more

My daughters are NOT blonde and are half mexican. They been attending classes here starting from tumbling classes and now onto cheering with their fellow CADETS. The staff is wonderful and very helpful, the Coaches along with the Jr.Coaches are great at what they do with our children. She has done gymnastics for 2 years prior to this, and Cheergyms really pushed it to the next step! There schedule is awesome with weekend classes!
