Stay away from this place! Not only the pools are dirty because the filters are never working (saving electricity I guess) but also the owner of the place is mean, rude and never takes any concerns or complaints into the consideration instead she will make it your fault. Our makeup class turned into a disaster. During our first song we saw some black-brownish material floating around. So everyone got out from the pool, checked the diapers, all 3 babies who were in that class were clean, and the trainer told us that there is a poop and that it must've been from the previous class. So we were ended up with a canceled class. And since it wasn't the first time when the pool was dirty I wrote the email to the owner and asked her to make sure that the pools will be maintained better and checked prior to the class for poop/dirt contaminations, so we don't have to come over there with two little babies (I have twins) just to be sent back home after a 3-second class. Aaaaaand here comes her email... take a guess what did she write back to me? (to a client with two little babies, who were coming every week for a year). Without any apologies or concerns about that situation, she went straight to attacking me and the babies, saying that they pooped, that's why the water was dirty. Very convenient to blame little ones, right? But she didn't know the fact that we showed the diapers to the trainer and it was clean. After I told her about that, she decided not to give up, next email was about blaming the parents for that poop. I mean, really? We came to ALREADY dirty pool, and you want to make it our fault? There are cameras in that place, just check your video and figure out when and how did that happen. Don't just point on everyone without any proof or any knowledge about the whole situation. We ended up being kicked off from the facility. And when I asked to return money for the unused classes she wrote the email that this class was the last one paid and that we have used it. I mean, did we? 3-second long class in pooped waters counted as a used class. Well, yeah. Good luck to everyone who still wanna try this place. Be safe! Lastly, the only good thing about the place are trainers! They are great, amazing, excellent with babies, that's the only reason why we have stick to the place for so long. But the cons overweight the pros

Total rip off, horrible customer service. It was over all very disappointing and unorganized. Also very dirty. My kids learned nothing.

I will say that he screamed the entire 6 weeks but from all the other babies/toddlers and talking to returning parents, it seemed to be the norm. My baby loved to swim but absolutely HATED to float. What good is a baby who can swim but not float? If something were to happen, I would rather have a screaming baby floating in the pool instead of the alternative. By the completion of our lesson, our baby was able to get into his float after entering the water in multiple different scenarios. He ended it with a 2 minute float, that he was whining through the entire time. It was encouraging to see toddlers who were in their second year with her, they absolutely loved the water and if I didn't know any better I would of assumed their lessons were always that smooth from the beginning. Their parents confirmed that their first year looked just like mine. Kids are resilient and capable of more than we think, it's the parents who put limitations on them.

The traditions of the team go back to the 1960s. At swim meets, especially the large multi team events - YWST is always seen as the team with the most spirit. We joined YWST in 2008 at the advice of our neighbor, whose two children were on the team. Our oldest daughter was 6 and our younger ones were barely 2 and 4. Over the next 10 years, we watched our children develop into accomplished swimmers. More importantly in my mind was the great environment for my kids to be in each day after practice, mostly hanging out with their friends, being outside, being active, interacting with kids of all ages and young adults/coaches who were great role models, etc., - versus-being indoors on their phones, with occasional scheduled play dates.

That spring, after I turned 8 my family joined the Ygnacio Wood Swim Club and I also joined the swim team. Without a doubt, my fondest memories of the 8 years I lived there all tied back to Ygnacio Wood Swim Club & Team. Years later, when it was time to settle into a community and start a family, I came back. Our family joined Ygnacio Wood Swim Club and Team with little kids and we fell in love with everything it has to offer, just as I remember when I was a kid. Now our kids aren't so little and they have all had the same experience I had as a kid, probably even better. Ygnacio Wood builds lifelong friendships. My best friends today are either people I met and grew up with at YW, or parents we met as our kids grew up at YW. Same with my kids friends. I think it is the legacy culture that attracts like-minds As for the Ygnacio Wood Swim Team...or Y-DUB Nation as some call it...it is like nothing else. Ya, meets follow the same format as other rec meets. The kids start off blocks. People are timing. The water is wet. Etc. But, this is not your -- stand around bored while you wait for a monotone megaphone announcement of your kid's next event, followed by an awkwardly started song off a random playlist that someone made 5 years ago for the one party they ever had, which honestly wasn't even that fun, even though the host keeps asking "remember that party at our house?" while you think to yourself, "Uh, yeah how could I forget when you play that sucky playlist every single meet..." -- kind of meet. Nope. At YWST home meets, you get an experience that starts with a state of the art sound system with clear and fun announcements, music professionally fading in and out between starts and announcements, and a custom playlist uniquely curated by our DJ for each meet theme, guest team and age group. And, well there's the digital display board visible to all and broadcasting the times of each race. Oh, what's that--the display board just turned into a video of the swimmers at they step on the block, but the starter calls them all back down, except for little Billy, who stands on the block not sure what's going on. Ahh, the announcer explains it's Billy's birthday and suddenly 250 people join in for a quick happy birthday song while Billy tries his best to play it cool but at the end he just can't help bust out a smile while he gets ready to take his mark. Oh yeah, then there's the real secret sauce...the coaching staff. They're all home-grown former YWST swimmers who have taken the time to know each and every kid on the team, and bring absolutely nuclear energy and motivation passed down by their former YWST coaches. They recognize and congratulate swimmers at every age and skill level when they achieve a personal best. And, if there enough kids for a B or C relay, they swim. Because its rec swim and the kids are here to swim not watch the A relay team swim. Even though its fun to watch the A relay because those swimmers are fast... I'm very fortunate to have had the opportunity to experience Ygnacio Wood Swim Club and Team as a kid, and now as a dad of a swim family. Very proud to be a Sea Horse. Ooh, ah, you wish you were a Sea Horse. GOOOO YGNACIO!!

While we were there, one group was in the large pool and someone in their group decided it was a good idea to in the pool. The pool was immediately cleared so the same group went to the shallow pool and decided they were going to in that pool too. This left only the deep pool open with tons of kids waiting in line for the diving board and obstacle course. Another thing to note the only way to get to the pool is by going through the locker room. We had to take our children through a room of older women walking around naked freely. Gross!
