It was a very enjoyable experience with the kids in my family here last week. The place is well lit, clean and smaller compared to a similar Game Center in the area, but much safer for kids. They stamp your lower arm, I don't remember if it was the back of your palm, and they check to see that all guests leaving as a group match the stamped figure on their hands. Great way to ensure that no one leaves with the wrong person or group. This is a very important security measure to ensure that kids leave with the group or family they came with. I bought unlimited game time for the kids and they had so much fun! We also had pizza, salad and unlimited drinks. Stuffed pizza was good but their pepperoni was salty. Staff members were friendly. Kitchen items like drinking straws and paper napkins were missing. Other than that, kids all had a great time! read more

absolutely terrible!! we had a reservation set for my 5 year old brother's birthday, tables were not ready upon arrival and no one assisted us until about 10-15 minutes after our arrival. we got there at 1:30 and ordered ahead of time to avoid having to wait for our food to come out, food doesn't arrive until about 3. since we only had a 2 hour limit we had to ask for an extension since we waited so long for the food. and to top it all off, we had to share the birthday song and dance with the party next to us (i can only assume they're trying to get rid of us since we're using up more time) which just completely takes away from my brother's special moment. for the amount of money that was paid for today, this was completely unacceptable and disappointing. do not waste your money here. read more

Took my 3yo here for her very first time. We were helped by Victor. He was super helpful and had a lot of patience. We ordered food and got timed unlimited plays. The games were super fun, even for me! They kept the place really clean. They really stepped up with their food. Will be returning! MAJOR HEALTH VIOLATIONS! No soap to wash hands!!!! No soap in women's bathroom asked 3 times in 30 min to fill it and tend to restroom. third employee comes and lets me know manager says there is no soap. I have reported them to health department right away. serving food without washing hands. A toilet they know is flooded and running all over they locked the stall and put out a wet floor sign. Leaking dirty toilet water no soap. This is a major health hazard. I am disgusted and concerned for my families health. Giving children dirty cups for parties they are in a dirty plastic tote. GHETTO!!!! I paid $60 for pizza and games and someone STOLE my 5yr old's play pass while he was playing the race car game, he had about 30min left on it when stolen. The manager said we were out of luck because I didn't keep the receipt, I had thrown it away with the leftover pizza. CEC Concord feels more like a sleazy carnival game and less like a fun kids environment. Who steels from a 5yr old? Who tells a 5yr old that they are out of luck? The manager couldn't care less about the kids. The pizza is NASTY! They started coating their flavorless crust with garlic butter- it's so greasy that it's nauseating, yet so expensive! A few of the games were broken- womp womp. We booked a 3-5 PM birthday party for our 4 year old, but they didn't have our party table ready until 4:07 PM and wouldn't give us any of the game play cards to at least let the kids play for the hour we waited. Once we received the play cards, none of them were activated so we had to go gather them from all of the kids to get them fixed. The kids had fun once they got their play cards worked and the pizza was good once it arrived (didnt get it until 5:20 PM), but there was no acknowledgment by the staff that our party was over an hour late. A number of the kids ended up leaving by 5 PM (when the party was supposed to end), so missed the pizza, the birthday show, the ice cream & cupcakes! I may not be a regular to this place on Yelp as of now, but I have been to this certain Chuck E Cheese's a whole bunch of times. Between this one and the one in Brentwood, you can say that I live here. I know both places so well. Now why is this? I have a little brother, and he loves this place. He has a whole bunch of fun. But this isn't his review. It's mine. So this is what I think: Parking: It's in Park n Shop. There's a bunch of parking around the establishment. But if you don't want to walk to far, there is about ten spaces up in front of the entrance. It's easy to pull into and to get out of. The general parking lot hardly gets completely full so there shouldn't be trouble parking. 5/5 Food: The go-to meal for my family and I when we are here is ordering a pepperoni pizza, chicken wings, access to the salad bar, and some cinnamon treats. Before their pizza used to be so bland, but now, they've improved it. The crust is a bit thicker, the cheese is better, and the pepperoni finally tastes like pepperoni. The salad bar doesn't have too many things in it, but this place isn't known for that. It serves it's purpose of adding vegetables in an otherwise fast food environment. The chicken wings are small. Like this is so laughable. A whole plate isn't filling at all. But they taste good. Now the cinnamon treats are good addition. Cinnabon is still better , but I approve of the sweetness of their own cinnamon concoction. 4/5 Cleanliness: It's about when you come in. It shouldn't be like that, but it is. When I come in the evenings, it tends to be dirtier. The bathroom is more of a mess with toilet paper on the floor, some toilets not being cleaned or flushed, and wetness on the floor. The grounds where the kids play: drinks are spilled and not cleaned, tables aren't wiped or the food isn't taken away, etc. But then on some afternoons, the place is spotless (probably because there isn't as many people as there are at night). 3/5 Price: Honestly never paid attention to the menu and start off prices that they post. I just sign up for their rewards, look at the two-calendar deals they have for kids, and their online store coupons. I used a coupon that was for a medium 1 topping pizza, with two drinks, and 30 tokens for $23.99 plus tax. I also added from the fixed menu of 30 extra tokens for $10. 3.5/5 Activities/Games: Now here's where this location busts against Brentwoods and in other gaming and play places in general. They don't have a lot of choices in games. They got some skeeballs, two different basketball games, a soccer game that last only a round, etc. Their story shooting game that involves bugs and stuff, our coins got stuck in it and we waited a while just to get help. Some of the games have broken steering wheels so the wheels had lives of their own. Some buttons didn't work so the game was lost faster because of that. 2/5 The numbers added up to my brother's enjoyment of the place. I'll say that this place is worth going to. This is another place like "keep your expectations in check". That may not be enough. Everything about Chuck says "This is a kids place". The official slogan is "Where a kid can be a kid". Does that mean that it's a place to come only if you have kids? Yes. This is what you get when you combine McDonald's, pizza, and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk arcade. I've been twice now, my girl has been many more times both here and in Beaumont TX. The pizza is competitively priced but not very good. I've learned that young kids prefer cheese only, and they're not discriminating on taste. Drinks are expensive. Games are typical, 25c/token and 1 token/game, and a large selection. Occasional show that entertains the kids well. The big mouse himself occasionally walks around. A birthday party with 10 kids, including your own, will set you back at least $140. Is it worth it? Well, it depends. The kids love Chuck, of course. The parents love watching their kids have fun. But the best kid places/shows also appeal to the parents (i.e., Sesame Street, Disneyland), and Chuck does not. So, maybe as a special event where Junior's friends come too. We had our child's birthday party here. We were the only party during that time on a Sunday. The kids had a blast. It was worth every penny. All we had to do was show up. The waitstaff took excellent care of us. The party included balloons, goody bags, cake, ice cream, 3 stuffed crust pizzas, and collectible cups with soda. The kids got to play for 2 hours and our child got a 1000 tickets and a birthday bracelet. We had 7 kids and 6 adults. The cost was 300 dollars plus tip and it was well worth it. I found out that I'm still very, very good at Skee-Ball. Oh yes. The pizza is quite possibly the worst thing that has been and will be served to children and adults a like. Prisoners may be served better pizza and I don't think they are served pizza at all. I would rather put tomato sauce & cheese on a to go cardboard box and cut myself a slice. However, spacing is smaller compared to other locations I've been too--there aren't as many big, spacious tables for large parties. {GAMES} Best game to maximize tickets -- WHACK-A-MOLE! I've gotten at least 10 tix/game and if you get enough points, you can unlock the bonus round. This basically gives you 3 opportunities to play for only 1 token. Score! {FOOD} I'm not sure if I'd eat here willingly...the salad looked sad and wilting and the bacon looked a bit suspicious. Just had my sons birthday party here and the only reason it gets a 3 is because we had our party first thing in the morning and we're able to have the place to ourselves for most of our two hour time. The bad: I reserved the 10am party and was irritated when I showed up to decorate at 9:45 and no one would open the flipping door for me! I literally had to bang on the door for several minutes before some girl came to the door and slowly open the door. When I told her that I had a party reserved for 10 AM she then reluctantly open the door. Please read. Because you're going to want to hear this before booking a party. I reserved a birthday for my daughter for 3:30 pm when we got there it wasn't even set up. The employee told us that it would be pushed back 30 minutes for no apparent reason keep in mind there was another party next to us with the same issue. While we waited we tried to play some games come to find out half of the games are out of order and straight up broken. No basketballs in the hoops and very few of the games work. The pizza didn't come until the VERY END OF THE PARTY and not only that we ordered wings and they never came even after telling the employees it didn't come. DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED WITH THE BATHROOM. Yea once you think your kids done playing they should wash their hands after touching all those dirty arcade games that they probably don't clean??? I will say the Pro is that it is clean and the bday party process is awesome for the kids. At the end of the day, the kids had fun. So that's good. For the adults, this place is a nightmare - don't do birthday parties here. My husband summarized it perfectly that it was the Spirit Airlines of kids venues. You have to pay extra for every little thing. And they were literally out of EVERYTHING. - Son couldn't get a birthday crown bc they were out (a bunch of other kids were wearing them) - Out of lemonade and punch, the only options i would choose outside of water. Offered soda and said i can't give 5-8 year olds pitchers of soda - The adult pizzas and appetizer platter never came out and my husband and I had to go into the kitchen at least 3 times to ask where our food was. The large appetizer sampler came out with 4 wings!!! - I asked for paper cups for the adults and was told I had to pay $3 each - They were out of everything in the prize case. Parents as you know that time up there is stressful, so when you're told that things are out is ridiculous. They couldn't even open the display to grab the gift there. - Don't bother ordering adult beverages. No one there is over 21 to serve you. So we have had many parties here and they have always been done very well, above and beyond. This time not so much. They took a whole hour to bring out food, a whole half hour to even get drinks. The cake choice was not available and we got stuck with a different decoration and type of cake. They give kids two hours of play but really they make you use it at the start and then the time doesn't stop during party, they did not do it this way the previous times. So they rush this last half hour and then make you get up and move out of the party area because they have other parties (2 parties set up that had not even showed up yet and still hadn't when we left a Half hour later) and all of that seemed mildly inconvenient, but they gave me the bill and we were at another table trying to open presents and the cashier came and said "can I escort you to the front to pay your bill?" Now as someone who has spent ALOT of money at this establishment, this seemed very rude to me. You should have people pay for the party up front instead of doing this. It wreaks of "you look like someone who is not going to pay, so you need to come pay now!" And it is SO RUDE! I font know if they have had people skip out on paying for parties, but I am pretty sure this is not the way to do it. There is a person at the door, its not like my whole party is gonna run out without paying for it. Needless to say, we will not be holding birthday parties here anymore. We have 45 minutes in our card. We left and return to the other day we found out there is 0 minutes in my card. I asked why my "minutes" are gone. The staffs told me the minutes only valid for that day. All "minutes" will be gone by the end of the day. However, no one told me when we purchased the minutes. Also, when you purchase "minutes". You can only pause the card "ONE" time. We didn't know it so we ask the staff. The problem is their staff also didn't know it. That's means only some of their staff know their own policy. Took my almost 4 year old here on their unlimited play weds ($15 per hr.) was totally worth it. I only had an hr to kill anyways. They opened the doors like 4 mins before they opened so we didn't have to wait in the cold. Bought the all you can eat buffet they even asked if I had any special requests so I told them what my daughter and I liked. Pizza was really good nice crispy crust. They only let the pizza sit for about 30 mins then removed it for something different so the pizza was fresh. We both had a blast. The games have really good tickets. Ended up getting 680 tickets for my daughter. The guy at the front let her pick something from the higher shelf and even gave a little extra candy. I always come to this location and it's clean, friendly staff, fresh pizza. I have never had any issues. The Antioch/ Brentwood location is a different story. Anyhow I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here. They make sure you come in and leave with your child so they don't get kidnapped by god knows who. They deliver the food to your table. The employees are actually smiling and clapping and dancing and having a good time, unlike movie theater employees. Maybe it's because I came on a Monday night but it wasn't too terrible. My only gripe was when they BLASTED the birthday music etc. I definitely got a headache but it didnt matter. I was there to celebrate my nephew's 4th birthday and boy did he have a blast!! I understand now more than ever that people have dietary restrictions.. And I know that even though it's not good, I go for the pizza.. But I'm thinking maybe it would benefit to eat before you come here so the kiddies #1 wont have to be told "you can't play until you eat" and #2 and more importantly so that you can take care of your needs. There are coupons online for $15 you buy 60 and get 90 tokens etc. Plenty of coupons. So relax, eat and take a chill pill before you go here... print the coupon and load up the wee ones and go here for ONE TOKEN games. Don't run around like a child and "lose" it and go blaming people who have been sitting at a table and didn't say jack to you. I'll break it down: Entertainment: Four stars. My three year old loved all the games. It lives up to its slogan, "Where a kid can be a kid." Food: Two stars. Not great, but what I expected. Overpriced in my opinion. Customer service: Two stars. They forgot our food and after some convincing gave us a refund. Never got our full order. The staff wasn't especially rude, but weren't very apologetic either. This is based on one visit, so maybe it was just a bad night. I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt, but they severely need work on how to work with the public if our experience is the norm. Overall: Three stars, which I feel is generous. I only come here because my 3 year old loves the games and the fact that he can put money to make the games or rides work. Each game/ride takes a quarter, which is the upside of this. The cons, some games are out of order, some of the kids aren't being monitored by their parents so they free ride off other kids' money by hopping on the ride with them. This place is absolutely TERRIBLE. I've been here dozens of times but now it's just completely SHITTY. Managers Barbara (the one with glasses), and Mayreese (fluffy hair?), are incompetent. Came in Sat ~1pm with my kid. We had so much fun at this childhood staple. Three birthday parties occurring while familiar songs from the staff and character animatronics. Safe, indoor, and a familiar place to have kids gather. Plenty of seating to eat. Spread out enough that there's no bumping into each other while playing games. The food and prize redemption area can get a bit crowded. The most appreciative part of this place is the honesty of the employees and manager. While there, I accidentally dropped my iPhone. In a panic (sadly, I've realized I've become so dependent on the phone beside just the cost and hassle of replacing one), went to the front counter. One of the employee, Elija/Elia (sp?), said he found and turned in my phone to the manager. After a few "security" questions, from I'm guessing it was the manager, gave me my phone back.
