I liked this place before they moved but they changed the menu a little. There wasn't a lot to choose from unless you're in to barbecue. My review is based on the fact that I'm not crazy about barbecue or they're sushi. I got the beer can chicken, it was weird. It tasted very dry. I have been wanting to try this restaurant forever and I finally got the opportunity last night. When we arrived we were told it would be a 35 minute wait for our table (no biggie)- it ended up only being about 8 minutes, score! I had always heard about their sushi so I always associated it as a sushi restaurant. Half of the menu is sushi. Last night, I wanted sushi. I ordered sushi and was told it would be an hour wait for sushi - not anything else on the menu. What?!?! They said they only have one guy making the sushi and he was training someone. They forgot the white sauce on top of the Trout, so it was basically just a large piece of dried out fish. Quality was better than the brisket I've had in the south. Others at the bar were locals and raved about the sushi. In town for work I showed up to the bar on a Tuesday and had a seat about 6:15 PM. The wait staff was really friendly. The restaurant was upbeat. Super clean. The menu was insane! Ended up having a couple flights with my food and walked across the parking lot back to my hotel. 4-5 hotels within walking distance! Top Notch everything. Just go and thank me later. read more

Cami was our waitress. We were told 30-35 but had a seat within 20 minutes. It was very busy but our waitress kept up with everything. She explained the me in since it was our first time and was very welcoming. We are out of towners and believe in the power of reviews. Cubby's reviewed well and was a short distance from our hotel. Walking in the aroma surrounds you. Ryan was our server and great at his job, but once the food was served I forgot everything but what was in front of us. It was amazing! Best service I've had in such a long time. My mom and I were traveling from out of town and we are both vegan. Chubby Trout is clearly a seafood restaurant but they had such great options for us. We split the edamame and it was the best we've ever had! We also both got the veggie sushi platter which had a Thai veggie roll and veggie nigiri. Soooo so so good. Our waitress Amanda, also a manager there, was so personable and helpful! She even gave us 10% off because we were travelers!
