First time! $59.99 per person on weekends. Free bday meal on your birthday or day before for members! ($58.99/yr membership) There was already a mini line before opening at 11:30am on Saturday. They had us sign up for the Yelp waitlist on their screen. Love the bone broth soup! The lobster soup is good too. Additional $5 per person to add hot pot to your meal. Additional $20 to add the lobster. Membership is $58/year and you get $10 discount as a member per person. 90 minutes to eat which is a bit rushed. They have a couple skewer options (beef, chicken, tilapia, lamp, pork belly), pretty good but I would not say the best. Tried beef tongue for the first time and it's soooo tender! Had it grilled. They have a good variety of sushi and sashimi too. Unfortunately, the Texan wagyu brisket was cold. It was just ok. The wagyu cheeseburger was a bit tough, both the bread and the meat - don't recommend. Lots of veggie and mushroom options for hotpot. All very fresh. There is also a very small dim sum section. The shumai just has sticky rice, but it was very flavorful! They have so many kinds of drinks!!! Love the brown sugar jujube soymilk, Chi Forest sparking sunny mango (they have peach and lychee flavors too), and Mr. Brown ice coffee was good. The lychee oolong milk tea was meh. Great service and very friendly staff. They cleared away plates right away. Very cool vibe inside and very spacious. Wish they had ventilators for the grills though. It can get pretty smoky at the table. Good thing they have AC inside, but other parts inside get quite hot too. So many more food options - good experience to have at least once if you like a variety of food.

This is one of my favorite lunch spots, weekday lunch for $39.99 and $5 add on for hotpot? Can't beat it. The best part? Unlimited fresh seafood that's included: Manila clams, mussels, rock crab - and that's just the tip of the iceberg. My favorite broths are the spicy rice vinegar (can't remember the exact name) and a toss up between the bone broth and the lobster broth. The rice vinegar has just the right amount of spice for a spice wimp like me, and then perfect amount of sourness. This is my favorite to cook the seafood (like clams) in. They have a plethora of hotpot items to get, my faves: bean curd skin, quail eggs, king oyster mushrooms, enoki, in-house made shrimp balls (they are so bouncy and delicious!), fried bean curd skin, taro, pumpkin/squash. For the meats you can either choose to grill on the top or get some unmarinated ones to cook in your broth. My favorite is to cook the meats on the grill and all my veggies in the broth. I had never had Chinese bbq before going to Chubby Mart, so the pre seasoned meats were a pleasant surprise (they are seasoned in a flavor I had never had before at kbbq or anywhere else). I have been here a handful of times and there are so many foods, it just doesn't get old. My other favorites: fried noodles, asparagus, Portuguese egg tarts, and the golden black custard buns - yum! Props to George, Nathan, Jerry, Vicky and Hai and anyone else I missed has been providing great service to me the last few weeks! Always a great visit!

Wow, what an experience. This places combines the best of Chinese hot pot and BBQ and takes it to a whole new level. There's so much selection to choose from you'll run out of stomach space before you know it! We opted for the deluxe seafood tier, and the lobster and Dungeness crab were absolutely phenomenal. We tried the lobster raw in the hot pot, steamed, and grilled! An amazing assortment of dim sum, appetizers, fried dishes, skewers, fresh seafood and meats, and a mouthwatering fruit platter with Korean melon, durian, and dragon fruit. We will most certainly be back for more!

Came into town visiting my kids and my sons took me here for dinner. This place is amazing they got so much different type of food. They got seafood, beef and dessert. They got hot pot and bbq. The meat is very good here and seafood as well. We had hot pot and bbq. It's all you can eat hot pot and bbq. You can choose one or another or both. Service here is very good as well no complaints. Everyone was nice. Ambience here is a lot of table a different section and it gets very busy. They got food all around the area, you would walk around and they have different type of food, dessert, they got some Chinese dim sum as well, fruits and different type of drink as well.

Crazy amount of selections. The hotpot and bbq is great but the bbq grill splatters a lot. I wish there was a way to decrease the heat of the grill. Jayden, our server was amazing! He was really helpful. The ambiance can be a little overwhelming with so many options.

The food at chubby mart was delicious! We upgraded to the +$20/pp menu which came with one lobster or Dungeness crab per person and the unlimited a5 Wagyu meats. I would say the upgrade was definitely worth it! The food tasted fresh and the meat quality was good. They had so many variety of foods to choose from that it felt a bit overwhelming. It felt like a Vegas buffet. Giving it 4 stars because they are super strict with the time limit. You're limited to 1.5 hr to look around and grab food to eat. It sounds like a lot of time but it flies by when there are just so many options to choose from. Also giving it a 4 star because our server was a bit difficult to get a hold of and wasn't really as friendly. As for wait times, we waited about 40 minutes on a Sunday at 6 pm. Not too bad. Overall, I really enjoyed the food and would come back! Worth a try!

Food: There are many food options, including hotpot, sushi, meats, and seafood Service: service was great! They explained the menu selection! Staff was very friendly and helpful Ambiance: the vibe of this was nice , and huge table spaces! Perfect for family and friends hang outs! It was also organized and cleaned

Service was really good to be honest and the restaurant was well kept and clean but- No grill changes or drain so the oil just pools and any meat placed down would instantly turn black Sushi selection was definitely not as advertised. It's like a cheap Asian buffet Not enough servers to change the hotpot so it just turns into goo The ambience was a little brutal. No tvs and super blocked off. Feels like a cyberpunk prison. And finally all the food was insanely greasy. I got sick of everything about 30 min in and was just waiting for my 2 hours to be up. Also it seems like they ditched the whole "mart" schtick. No more baskets or walk around carts.

Came with a group of 8 and our party was split but next to each other since they dont have tables large enough to accomodate everyone in one. Which was fine. If i came back id only go for the seafood. Clam and shrimp. The rest was ok. I didnt like the grilled meats at all but the hotpot was good. They have alot to choose from. The clams however are good but arent cleaned. Had a couple where there was alot of sand in it. They have quail eggs :) Peking duck, i would wait until there is no line then get it. Otherwise you spend awhile there since the person has to cut it up. The cod was cold and they just brought it out. Sad that it wasnt hot or it wouldve been good. The drink were in the fridge but all of them werent cold cold and there was no place to grab ice Service was okay. The lady ignore our side of the table. I had to get tong, soup spoons, request for water, cups. When i asked for ice, she gave me a bucket. Their shot glasses are small smalll smalllllll cups. Smaller than a normal shot glass but 2/3. Water from the ac was dripping on us. The far corner was super hot because the ac didnt blow towards us. Probably the worst spot.

We got a good corner away from the busy crowd that was nice Sushi was great Meat was good Shabu was nice There was a small wait but we took our steps around the plaza Honestly I got lost hahahahh ... forgot how to get back to my table and exit the place It truly felt like a market how quiet busy it was ... not too crowded but people moving The energy was fun

The food was delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. Updated: We had a party of 11, and we were told that a 20% service charge would automatically be applied, which we agreed to. However, when we checked the bill, we noticed that the 20% was calculated based on the original prices rather than the actual prices we paid. We had five adults who each received a $10 discount through the membership benefits. We understand that a restaurant may choose to calculate the service charge based on the pre-discount price for those meals. However, we also had five children who were charged the kids' price. The kids' meals were listed at $59.99 and then discounted by $30, and the 20% service charge was calculated on the original $59.99 instead of the actual kids' price. That doesn't seem reasonable to us. Kids' pricing is already a separate, reduced price, so the service charge should be based on the kids' price rather than an inflated pre-discount amount. We were also disappointed with the service. Since we had a large party, dirty dishes naturally piled up quickly. The server only came by a few times during our entire meal to clear dishes. When she did come, she mainly cleared the areas near the door and did not walk farther down the table to collect the dishes on the other side. A couple of times, we had to move the dirty dishes to the table behind us ourselves. We understand that this is a buffet restaurant and that customers serve themselves when it comes to food and drinks. Because of that, clearing dirty dishes is essentially the main service we rely on. For a party of 11, we expected more attentive table service, especially with a 20% service charge. Overall, we were disappointed with both the way the service charge was calculated and the level of service we received.

I saw several friends dine here and decided to give it a try. We were quoted a two hour wait but were pleasantly surprised to be seated in just 40 minutes. Our server, June, provided friendly and attentive service for our table. The meat was fresh, the crab was delicious and not overly salty, especially when dipped into the hot pot. For $49.99 for a member per person, I thought the value was excellent. Great food, reasonable prices, and a wonderful experience overall!

Lobster broth and Wagyu Tallow. Short plate bbq

A lot of variety to choose from! There is hot pot & bbq that you can cook at your table and many items that are ready to eat. There is a 90 minute time limit. If you are a qualified Chubby plus member or NFT holder, you can make reservations, which lessons the wait time for busy days. I'm a Silver member so it was easy to make Fathers Day reservations and we were seated within 15 minutes of checking in at opening. You can choose 2 broth choices for hot pot, and they're free upgrades if you're members, otherwise for example, Lobster broth is $5 extra. The skewer station gets busy and can run out until they make more. Since it's made right there, there may be a short wait for refills during busy times. However, don't go just to eat a bunch of skewers, especially when you can just go to Chubby Skewers! There's fresh crab, mussels and clam, which are a good size. You can get your usual hot pot items (veggies, noodles etc.). They have sushi rolls and sashimi. They had a sushi taco which had a fried seaweed shell and my son had the eel one and he said he'd eat it again. They also had a chopped fish version (tuna?) as well. It looks big but it was overpowering with rice, which is good so you won't feel like its filling you up. The fried area with taro ball, sesame balls, wagyu pancake etc was also good. The burger was probably one of the better burgers from a Chubby restaurant. Very kid friendly area of food. We enjoyed the short plate and Australian wagyu steak for the grill. Love that they provide seasonings to go with it on the tray. The hot pot meat was also good. The Peking Duck station got set up at 12:30pm and the line started forming. Given the time limit to eat, it was a time killer waiting in the line for 2 small wraps on the plate eaten in 2 bites. Once the 2 ducks were used, then there was no duck for a while. I think that station needs more support, especially busy days. We loved the variety of drinks in the fridge!! All sorts of teas, soy milk, plum juice, chrysanthemum tea etc. For our family of 4, it ended up being a little bit of hot pot and and a little grilling with eating the stuff at the stations. We probably prefer going to a more specialized place (hot pot or bbq) as it was hard to enjoy it all (but we were stuffed!!) But a good first try to check it out.

Chubby Mart Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Chubby Mart

What is the price for 3 year old?

All of the Chubby Group restaurants try to conform to the same pricing model for kids: under 100cm (39") is free, 100cm-130cm (39"-51") is half priced,

Is the hot pot add on per person for ONE hot pot at the table? So for party of 6, that is $30 add on for one hot pot?

The hotpot price is per person. So you are correct for 6 people, it would be $30 more and it's required for everyone in the party. You still get to choose two different soup bases for the table.

Is the membership fee for each person or a whole family? Some locations has 1 membership for up to 4 people. Thanks

1 membership is good for the holder and 1 guest = 2 total.

What is the difference in the AYCE offerings during lunch vs dinner DURING THE WEEK? What is the difference in the AYCE offering during lunch vs dinner SATURDAY and SUNDAY.

A couple differences I noticed is that the Peking Duck is not served during lunch M-Th. Also the giant prawns in the sushi/sashimi section are not brought out until dinner hours which starts at 5 pm.

I am trying to make an online reservation for only 2 people, but the reservation system how a minimum limit of 4 (2 is not in the dropdown--anything less than 4 is not in the drop down). How do I make a reservation for 2 online?

You cannot. For 2 people it is first come first serve

    Minimum 4 people?

There is no minimum requirement by the restaurant but in order to eat a variety of food, more people to share the food is recommended. I had 3 people in my party but still felt we got too much food.

Mon lunch does the cook grill the skewer for you? Or is that only during dinner? For the 2.0

Yes Monday lunch they have the grilled skewers already cooked from the kitchen. For 2.0

Is it all you can eat?

Yes, its now AYCE. They have take out priced per pound.

I'm confused, so you pay for AYCE and pay extra for certain kind of food?

They have standard AYCE, you can pay more to upgrade to premium options (one time specialty dish and unlimited A5 wagyu or unlimited live seafood, etc.)

    How much for AYCE option?

    Prices as of June 2, 2026: Mon-Thurs lunch is $35.99 for members / $39.99 for non-members…

    Is there a time limit?

Now there is a time limit since it's ayce

    How do we make reservations?

You have to be at least Silver tier on the Chubby group app or be a NFT holder to make reservations at any Chubby Group location.

    How much per head?

It's not charged per head it's per plate. The prices are shown as you pick up the plates and charged at the end. Each item has its own price either self service or ordered from the at table menu.

Hi can we reserved a table before we get there?

Only if you are silver tier or NFT holder on the Chubby Group App

    Is the restaurant officially open?

    Yes

Today, my coworkers finally persuaded me to give it a try since the weather is cooler & I feel very silly now. The exterior and interior decor of this place is on point with the bold red and lanterns. It really sets the mood. Service was exceptional during lunch (wasn't too busy). The staff helped change out dirty plates often. Everything was clean. They were helpful in explaining the AYCE menu. The only problem I experienced is how slow the virtual menu was to load and long buffers between each click. At one point it stopped working to reorder so the waitress had to do it manually anyway. We got the half tomato (light spice) and half spicy soup (mild) base and both were really good! I might upgrade to med next time. The meat quality was great, esp the 1 wagyu plate per person that comes with AYCE. Surprisingly the fatty beef was so tender as well. Even the mala beef didn't hurt going in...or out. The bellflower veggie is a must try. Never had this crunchy vegetable before. Love the self serve bar with so many desserts and Chinese chips options.

There were four of us, including my 6 year old nephew, and it turned out to be the ultimate family meal. Since it was my very first time experiencing hot pot, I wanted to go all out and try a bit of everything. So we ordered both the Wagyu Experience and the Mo-Mo Experience, which gave us access to all four delicious broth bases. While waiting for our main meat cuts to arrive at the table, we checked out the self serve area. Their savory Japanese curry is mouthwatering, and they had a cold noodle dish that was super tasty. I had to exert some serious self control not to fill up on the curry before the main event, but it was just so good. Once the meats arrived, my sister showed me how to cook them in the bubbling hot pot. Every single broth had its own unique, rich flavor profile, and every single one was delicious. The quality of the meat here is premium grade, and the marbling on the Wagyu beef was absolutely outstanding. I'd love to see where they source their meats because everything tasted ridiculously fresh, right along with the items at the veggie station where they offer over 20 different vegetables, noodles, and toppings. This place is also a major win for families. My nephew said he actually likes this place way better than Korean BBQ spots because smoke doesn't blow in his face! On top of that, I absolutely love that they offer a kids' achievement incentive for straight A students. It's such a wonderful touch for families. And I loved the ambiance with fun tunes playing throughout the restaurant. Just writing this review is making my mouth water thinking about the incredible food we had. I cannot wait to come back and try out some of their other locations!

Perfect for the person who really wants to taste the flavor of the meat. My order of favorites was 1. Tonkatsu, 2. Sukiyaki, 3. tomato, and 4. Shabu shabu. I highly recommend the Wagyu experience. Every meat on that list was delicious!! They have a self serve station with noodles, rice, curry, and many other things. The shabu curry from the self serve station was SO good. The fountain drinks and tea are self serve as well. My son loved trying all the different drinks. Shirley temple was his favorite. Mine was the brown sugar milk tea. We left so full. I honestly can't wait to come back

Thanks to my son in law we got to try a new spot. How Rowland Heights has changed since the 80's…read more Just love the rich food scene. Be forewarned. Friday and Saturday nights the parking can be very challenging. Once seated service was quick. But here is how it works. You order your broth selection an some premium proteins online. The rest is pretty much self service from the various refrigerators. Seafood, beef tendon, beef with cilantro, gizzards, plenty of mushrooms, and veggies. You select what you want and take it back to your table and immerse in the broth. Feels very cafe style which I just enjoyed. Totally a find. I will be back.

However, SLICED proteins such as sliced ribeye beef, sliced prime USDA beef, and sliced pork are restricted to 3 dishes per order, must be order by request, and are prepared in the kitchen. Portions are small and not sufficient for two or more people. When we tried to order a second round, only two dishes arrived out of the 3. On the third attempt, nothing arrived at all. On top of that, the wait time for sliced proteins was extremely long. While the menu is promoted as AYCE, the service appears to intentionally slow down and limit access to the main protein items, which is misleading and disappointing.

This place has seriously gone downhill over the years. I used to enjoy coming here for hot pot, but…read moreafter my recent visit, I can confidently say I won't be coming back. They've been cutting corners more and more -- things they used to offer are gone now, and even the atmosphere feels dead. No music, no energy, nothing that makes you want to stay. The food quality has dropped the most. I ordered the pickled cabbage hot pot, and it tasted like plain cabbage boiled in broth -- there was zero sour flavor. It was honestly shocking how off it was. Meat quality below the average and nothing left to order in a hotpot restaurant that tasted good. Service was just as bad. There were barely any staff around, and no one checked on us. When I asked for utensils, the server told me to go grab them myself from the sauce station. That's not service. Overall, this place is just not worth it anymore -- bad food, poor service, and a disappointing experience. It used to be good, but now it's a complete letdown.

I have been here a few times for dinner with each time a different group of friends. The meat is sliced and put around the hot pot. It is unique and I think the pot looks super cool. They have beef, lamb, and different types of seafood to pick from. Service is fast and overall I do enjoy having dinners here.

My family really likes the cold bean noodles dish, really delicious and not so spicy if you pick the right ones. We got split broths but the first time we got the other half spicy and it was a bit too spicy given the weather. So the second time we got only non spicy broth (bone broth and tripe). My dad was surprised how much tripe the broth had and he ate them. The meat is also good quality, I think I would come for the pork belly more than the red meats. The lamb was good, not too gamey. I think I really liked the sausages, they turn to cute octopuses once cooked. We also tried a shrimp paste that had to be mixed and then dropped into the broth scoop by scoop, it wasn't my favorite I think because there's an unusual mushroom flavor overpowering the shrimp. Staff were very attentive sometimes and they are there when you need them but other times you wonder where did they go... I need help... Overall, the sauce station is the places winner, I think I heard more about the snacks than the main hotpot.
