I'm extremely disappointed with both my experience at this restaurant and how they handled a serious food poisoning incident afterward. I dined at this restaurant on July 19. Shortly after the meal, both my friend and I became sick. My symptoms became severe enough that I had to go to the emergency room, where I was evaluated and treated. I contacted the restaurant afterward and provided the medical documentation they requested. What makes this situation even more frustrating is the complete lack of follow-up. It has now been over a month since the incident, and no one from the restaurant has reached out to me with an update or even properly acknowledged the situation after I submitted the requested documentation. I understand that incidents can happen, but how a business responds afterward says a lot about how seriously it takes the health and safety of its customers. Having a customer report becoming ill after a July 19 visit, provide medical documentation, and then receive no meaningful response for more than a month is unacceptable. Based on both the incident and the way the restaurant has handled my complaint afterward, I cannot recommend this restaurant. read more

Before they even pour the broth, the server grills the initial cuts of Japanese A5 Wagyu right in front of you to flavor the pot. It is a fantastic presentation, and the meat melts in your mouth! The brisket was my Hubby's favorite! It truly does melt in your mouth! For the all-you-can-eat rounds, the A5 chuck ribeye and brisket are incredible, offering a perfect level of richness. Beyond the hot pot, the Diamond tier gives you access to premium sushi and specialty items. The A5 nigiri with foie gras and the uni toro bowl were exceptional and tasted incredibly fresh! Those were my personal favorite! They also have a great self-serve bar stocked with high-quality sauces, hot pot sides, prawns, scallops, and wagyu curry. Since it was my birthday I got an additional $38 off which is applicable on the day of or +/- a day. The only difference between the gold and diamond menu is that you get a speciality dish, 2 extra meats and some sushi options and the price difference is $10. Everything on my visit was delicious and fresh. We ordered the uni toro bowl and otoro bowl with caviar for our speciality item. Both of the dishes had a good amount of toro on top which was flavorful. The uni and caviar was more of a garnish in my opinion. The A5 ribeye was grilled at table side. Since we ordered sukiyaki for our broth they gave us egg to dip our meat. Our server grilled our meat and placed it in our egg. The meat was soft and literally melted in our mouths. I could eat 20 orders of that and be satisfied. Our server ordered 1 of each of the meats for us to start off. It went down the menu so make sure which one you like. My favorite was the A5 chuck ribeye and full blood M9 chuck roll. All these are unlimited so order as much as you want. Those two cuts were most tender and not too fatty. They have scallops at the self service bar which were gigantic. I basically ate the whole container there since they were that good. Make sure not to cook it for too long as it will get rubbery. About 1 min in the boiling water is good. The sashimi and nigiri were delicious as well. The fish was buttery and thick cut. It came with salmon, yellowtail and tuna. Apparently customers can ask the staff to swap to a different broth by replacing with a new bowl, but our table regretted swapping sukiyaki broth to shabu shabu broth. [Speciality dish - A5 Wagyu Tartare w/ Caviar]: I sampled my friend's speciality dish and honestly I liked this dish better than uni toro bowl as the tartare actually had some avocado. [A5 Wagyu Nigiri with caviar + A5 Wagyu Nigiri with foie gras]: This is not exactly a sushi specialty restaurant, but the meat is undeniably good. [Self-serve station]: 4 different flavors of ice creams, sauce station, minced Wagyu, curry, milk tea machine, seafood, vegetables, and various side dishes. *** Overall meat quality certainly tasted as good as I expected (soft and tender). Food was pretty good! We got their gold package priced around $80/person. For the price, the food is definitely worth it. Their beef slices were fresh and the meat to fat ratio was perfect on every slice. They also have a great selection of AYCE nigiri and sashimi. Their restaurant is nicely dimly lit, providing a warm and more intimate atmosphere. Their service was welcoming and the servers were happy to help and answer any questions. Yumiyaki is one of the most worthwhile AYCE restaurants I've had the pleasure of enjoying in a long while! Genuinely worth it! My two fav foods are hot pot and sushi, and Yumiyaki gives you a little bit of both. The menu is small and straightforward. A list of high quality beef for sukiyaki and a handful and sashimi and nigiri options. It may be limited, but always fresh and of course unlimited. My husband is more of the meat eater, and goes ham on their sukiyaki and wagyu nigiri. Their cuts of Wagyu are fresh, perfectly marbled, and melt-in-your mouth delicious. His favorite is the chuck roll, but loves them all. I am more of a seafood & veggie eater so I love getting their fresh scallops from the bar, along with all my favorite veggies like mushrooms, watercress and kabocha. I also order their entire raw fish menu lol. Otoro tartar, sashimi platter, bluefin tuna nigiri, carpaccio, hand rolls--everything!!!! If I don't leave with mercury poisoning, I'm not doing it right! I appreciate all the extras and appetizers included in the AYCE available at the bar as well. Definitely one of the top ayce sukiyaki spots I've ever had. Around $100 per person if you order a bottle of sake. They have plenty good decent saki bottles to order from. The nigiri and sushi rice were solid. The meat quality, perfectly marbled, perfectly fatty. We tried every cut of the meat but our favorite has got to be the ribeye. Great selection of veggies and soft drinks in the huddle room. Would recommend to a friend and would definitely consider coming back. Our friend made reservations the day before, it's a pretty small restaurant so having reservations just gives you a piece of mind. read more

I don't usually dine at AYCE restaurants, but I happened to stumble upon this place and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant has a great ambiance and stays open late, which is a nice bonus. The beef, handrolls, and sushi were all surprisingly fresh and delicious eventhough it's ayce. Our waitress provided excellent and attentive service, making the overall dining experience even more enjoyable. I look forward to visiting again! read more

We need more Davids in this world. We didn't even have a reservation....just a spontaneous date night and zero plan other than "we want really good beef." My husband and I had already put our names down at another restaurant in the plaza, but I'm so glad I decided to take a quick walk instead. Because the second you open the door here... WOW. The smell alone is insane. Like actually hypnotizing. We literally drifted in just from how good it smelled. And by pure luck, David had a spot for us. Not only did he squeeze us in, but he made the whole experience feel next level. He walked us through the menu, explained everything so clearly, and when I just said "give us your best...something that'll make us come back," he did NOT miss. I've been thinking about that wagyu ever since He was so knowledgeable too...knew exactly where each cut came from and could explain every dish like a true meat connoisseur.
