Food: 4.5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Very solid all you can eat hot pot restaurant. Meat quality was top notch. I ordered Shabu shabu and tonkotsu soup base. I didn't really like shabu shabu. It was water down for my opinion. Tonkotsu is the way to go. As I mentioned above, meat quality was very good. Their curry was also delicious. I just wish they have bbq dipping sauce.

First timer! Weekday lunch. Busy parking lot but found a spot easily. Seated right away. Very clean, organized, and beautiful restaurant. EVERY SINGLE staff member we encountered were very sweet and friendly - such wonderful ladies who were very helpful and attentive. Service is quick. We had the MOMO Experience and were very impressed by the quality of the meats, just absolutely delicious. Loved the Farmer's Market (self-serve veggies and sides bar) - all fresh ingredients, wasn't overwhelming, always refilled. I had the sukiyaki broth - which was a little too sweet for my taste, however I appreciated the extra water on the side to take it down a notch and it was very good. Lastly, the complimentary ice cream was so yummy. We had the coffee flavored one and the coconut pineapple. Great experience here. Til next time!

I've come here several times for dinner, and I believe that this restaurant is actually getting better each time I visit! The last time we came, the service was extremely attentive, and our meat orders were brought to us literally within minutes. My family and I tried the normal menu, which had 3 beef options, 2 pork options, and access to the food bar with vegetables, fish balls, and noodles. I found the meat options to be really tasty, and I especially loved the round eye beef which was very flavorful. The soup bases that we ordered were tomato and tonkotsu, and both were great. I remember in the past, they had other soup bases that were too salty. The two we got this time worked perfectly for hotpot. There is also complimentary ice cream in the end. This restaurant also has special discounts for young kids and seniors. Overall, this is a great option for AYCE shabu shabu!

Such a good deal here ! Especially Tuesday for their $2 hot sake. We didn't get the Wagyu deal but the meats on the momo deal were still good . My favorite is the chuck if you like tender

Service was good here. We went there for early dinner during weekend. Seated right away and they provided our shabu broths within few minutes of ordering. I like their Tonkotsu broth base better than their shabu-shabu clear broth. They have variety of veggies, eggs, meat balls, and mushrooms. They also have curry beef to eat with white rice. They provided the cuts of meats as we ordered and meats were fresh and good quality. Vegetables were fresh and clean and I liked that customers were able to get all the side dishes by themselves. The only thing lacking was a good dipping sauce for the shabu. I believed dipping sauce is needed for the meats when eating shabu. They did not have good dipping sauce that can go along with the meats. Overall, this place is good for families. Good ambiance with friendly and attentive staff during my visit there. Will be coming back again soon!

Reservation! Reservation ! Reservation! You will thank me later even for week days. I always love how specious the place is. The condiment/ veggie bar is always well stocked. I love the unlimited boba drinks line Jasmine tea and Yuzu tea. Meat quality and service are always great ! Plenty of parking in the parking lot as well.

I came with a party of 7 for a Sunday lunch without making a reservation. We had to wait about 20 minutes which was understandable because we came at around 1 pm with a larger group. The hostess was very nice and the place was clean. Regarding the food, we got the Mo-Mo Experience and I thought that the meat quality was comparable to what I have tried at other Cali AYCE spots at this price point. My favorites were probably the chuck eye and pork shoulder. You can choose two broths. I ended up getting shabu shabu and sukiyaki. Shabu shabu was solid but the sukiyaki was just way too salty. I ended up not dipping any meat in it after the first round because it just overpowered the meat flavor. I was going to make this place 3 stars off the sukiyaki broth alone, but I'm making it 4 stars because I ended the meal trying their beef curry rice at the self-service bar. It was really good and hearty. I could probably eat AYCE of that on its own.

My boyfriend and I have been wanting to try this place for so long and we finally had it!! The food was delicious and on top of the AYCE, they have a buffet where you can add veggies, tofu, etc. to your broth. They serve delicious curry as well. We got the 2 Shabu-Set Combo which came with AYCE & dessert! We also paid extra to have All You Can Drink, which was totally worth it. Definitely come to MoMo when you have a special event to celebrate! It's a very yummy & enjoyable experience.

Definitely make a reservation here because this place gets packed. Huge parking lot but you may have to fight for a space woth the gym goers. Super friendly staff and great place for kids. Especially great if you're a carnivore. You can also load up on veggies at the bar. My favorite meat was the pork shoulder. You can choose from different types of broths. Coming back? Most likely.

I have to say after eating so many hot pots this place is my favorite! The meat quality is always good and their broth is simple yet delicious. You can't go wrong w sukiyaki and tonkotsu. I still like the unlimited drinks and icecream at the end. The service is great as they are very attentive. Always coming to momo for hot pots cravings!

Its Rarity Collection V time and we gotta celebrate the release with MoMo Paradise of course! We also wanna celebrate the (almost) release of Hololive Enchanted Regalia too! Lets pull a Nerissa SEC!! Third, we gotta celebrate my boys first week of marriage! He can't do a lot of things now; so we do what we can. Can't forget about our waiter, Chris C., They got us seated and ready to dine like kings. Yum yum get you sum. Ambience is always good!

This place had everything we wanted and more! This place has a salad bar for all your shabu necessities. Was pleasantly surprised to see beef wagyu curry at the self serve bar! We ordered the wagyu experience and the strips were huge! So delish would definitely come back here. They even gave us ice cream at the end! Drink and Happy hour deals all week! Got these cocktails for a BOGO 50% deal so happy with everything here! The place was clean, only thing they did not have were TVs. However this place checked off all the boxes when it comes to a good shabu place.

How much is lunch and dinner?

Lunch is about $26-27 and dinner is $34-36. There are more meats offered for dinner. It's all you can eat.

Did you stop provide pasteurized eggs?

They only stop right now because of shortage of eggs. They will likely serve it again when it does become available. They currently serve nonpasteurized free range eggs.

Can you dine solo during lunch?

Yes you can! I’ve done it a few times before.

Do you offer takeout like the shabu shabu set?

Hi Sean, at the moment, we do not offer shabu shabu sets!

Is lunch all you can eat meat or is it limited to two plates of meat?

It used to be that you could get two plates of meat for lunch for a discounted price, but they now only do all you can eat even for lunch. But lunch AYCE is still cheaper than dinner AYCE. Dinner though offers chicken thigh (cut up) and pork belly… Read more

Can I wait for a seat at the store or reservation only?

You can definitely wait, but sometimes the wait can be as long as 90 minutes (I've done it before but I just go shopping nearby and come back, or I bring work with me and wait inside the store). I recommend making a rez and then cancelling (no… Read more

Service charge is 18%. It is up to the customers if they want to add any additional tip.

So you guys charge an 18% + service fee no matter the size of the party?

They automatically charge 18% as the service fee (not 18% AND service). The receipts will have recommendations if you want to leave a little extra (2 to 6 percent) if you felt your server gave you exceptional service. But usually, I just sign and… Read more

Do you guys do free all you can drink with yelp check in (similar to the Arcadia location)?

Beverage bar is included with the AYCE Shabu option. If you order by plate, drinks cost extra.

Are you checking for proof of vaccination for dine in customers?

Yes. And they have repeated customer profile, so only need to check the first time.

I want to come in today December 29 do you take people walking or do I have to make reservation? For party of four around 6:30?

Is lunch session available now?

Yup! I think for $21.95, you get two platters of meat and all you can eat veggie bar and curry. The drink station (if you want to add on), I believe is an extra 2.49 (but don't quote me). Lunch all you can eat is $25.95. Hope that helps!

Are the AYCE vegetables still served in a communal area (everyone helps themselves at the veggie station) during COVID (Aug 4, 2021)?

Went on July 5th, yes the vegetables are still out at the buffet area, self serve Sauces and drinks are self serve too

Is it reservation only or do you accept walk ins?

They accept walk ins when it's not busy and when there are seats before the rush hours. I've done walk ins plenty of times, but definitely only if you do an early dinner like 5pm or before 530 pm. It's packed with a wait at 7 pm, even during… Read more

This time, I tried the omurice, which is egg-wrapped, curry-flavored rice and chicken with your choice of sauce. I chose their curry, which I've always enjoyed. This also came with your choice of corn or miso soup and a salad. I also ordered a side topping of sautéed chicken as I was especially hungry that morning. The omelet wrapping the rice was nicely fluffy with a deliciously subtle blend of savory and sweet flavors. I enjoyed the diverse spices from the curry-flavored rice. With small chunks of chicken, the dish was slightly more filling. I wish there was just a little more curry portioned out. The sautéed chicken on the side was delicious and reminded me of times I enjoyed pan-fried steak dishes from Hong Kong cafes. Interestingly, the omurice came with seasoned fries and steamed carrots and green beans a slight touch of American cuisine). Overall, it was delicious combining all the flavors from the curry, rice, omelet, and sautéed chicken into one bite. Service was good. All our dishes had a nice and careful presentation. Our server also refilled my water without me asking. However, the restaurant can get loud due to the small interior. As usual, parking was in high demand, but we found a spot close to the north exit. There was a crowd of people standing near the entrance, so I thought we were in for a long wait. However, they were thankfully waiting for another restaurant nearby.

The curry itself is good too, flavorful with a nice kick. Not a super big fan of the pork katsu. Got the loin but was still kinda lean and tough to eat. Also the breading falls off really easily. Stick to the chicken, really juicy and tender despite being white meat. A nice little family vibe in a plaza filled corporate Chinese mumbo jumbo restaurants.

The curry chicken is very good for its value. $16 for generous amount of chicken and its thick and juicy. The curry was good flavor on the sweeter side and had a good amount of spice (my level of choice was 2). The double matcha was also very good, they use Marukyu Koyamaen Rindou and the matcha flavor was strong enough to my liking. The cream top was thicker than other places I've tried in the area and had good matcha flavor. For the double matcha I went with Pure Matcha which is matcha with water + matcha cream top. The ambiance inside is like a tea shop, cozy, lots of tables without feeling like a restaurant but rather like a place to study. They had calm music playing when I was here. But…read morewhile many people see the volume izakayas and ramen shops, it's actually quite rare to stumble upon a traditional mom & pop spot that makes classic Japanese favorites. That's why I immediately came down to Tamaya when I noticed the laid back atmosphere, small storefront, and modest food offerings. Walking up on a Wednesday evening around 6:45PM, there was a line to eat in the small dining room. But we were seated relatively quickly. Looking at the menu, there were large variety of appetizers ranging from your chashu and takoyaki to tofu steaks and gyozas. But what I was interested in was the amount of different ramen options, curry plates, and don bowls. With so many choices, you're definitely in for more than your typical Japanese spot. For this visit, I decided to try their Meat Lover's Ramen which was $19.25 at the time of this review. And looking at the bowl, I was very pleased. For one, large chunks of beef, chicken, and chashu pork were all on the surface with some vegetables and cilantro. The noodles to ingredient ratio was pretty equal at about 50% noodles to 50% ingredients. And with a soup base that filled up to the top of the bowl, there was no justification needed for the $19 price tag. If you're looking for a ramen with mass quantity, Tamaya is definitely the spot for you! Taste-wise, the flavors did clash a little as the meats all had different flavors to them. But nonetheless, they all paired well with the rest of the ingredients. While the chunks of beef had a soy sauce undertone to them, the chashu was more sweet and fatty. The chicken tasted lightly stir-fried, but was chunky and filling. The noodles of this dish were softer, but tasted great with the creamy broth. And although the greens were garnishes, they tasted freshly washed and added some fresh flavors to the bowl of ramen. There are so many ramen shops in the San Gabriel Valley that get the hype from so many reviewers. And to that, Tamaya does just as good of a job at making a great ramen (if not better)! The place feels cozy and approachable for those looking to try different kinds of Japanese food, the prices for the food were very good in the Rowland Heights area, the food tasted delicious, and the offerings are very diverse compared to many other specialized places. Because of these offerings, Tamaya easily earns a 5/5 in my book and is a place I will return to again and again.

Now that same small fried rice is $7, so these days I usually just stick with the ramen. The interior has barely changed over the years, and the restaurant has stayed in the same location the entire time. What I really appreciate is how consistent the food quality has remained after all these years. I also love ordering their iced coffee every visit. It's funny because this is a ramen restaurant, but the coffee is surprisingly good and perfectly matches my taste. One of the reasons I enjoy coming here so much is the atmosphere. You can often hear the staff speaking Japanese, which really adds to the authentic vibe and makes it feel like you're eating at a small ramen shop in Japan. Definitely a place I'll keep coming back to.

The food is hot, large, and satisfying. Today, I had a good experience at Kz Mori (West Covina). I ordered the Mix Katsu Combo ($19.99). It's pork katsu, chicken katsu, curry sauce, fresh & clean rice, salad, and miso soup. It's a lot of food. I arrived on Wednesday (around 8:10PM). Parking is easy on a late evening. Although the lot is typically competitive, there were not too many cars in this large lot this night. Customers can order at the self-service kiosk or the counter. Staff is friendly and pleasant. Staff hands an electronic pager which lights up when your food is ready. My meal took seven minutes and 32 seconds. As mentioned, I ordered the Mix Katsu Combo ($19.99). Quality is usually consistent, but it was a little burnt and dry this evening. Still, it tasted satisfying when slathered with its well-seasoned curry. Personally, I found a lot of enjoyment with the fresh steamed white rice. Still, it's a guilty pleasure that serves huge portions. Regarding ambiance, Kz Mori (West Covina) is located in the popular Haven City Market. There's plenty of indoor tables, and there's still many customers despite the late hours. I especially appreciated the flat screen TVs showing the basketball game. Overall, Kz Mori (West Covina) is a decent option when craving some crispy katsu and clean steamed rice. The portion is HUGE and its price is competitive. If nearby, it's a good option. 4.5 out of 5

Their tofu katsu caught my eye, as I rarely see plant based options for katsu! I ended up ordering the pork cutlet for myself. I was surprised how large the portion size is, but I think it was perfect for the price. The cutlet was thin and evenly cooked. I've had much better katsu, this one felt a little dry, lacked rich flavor, and the breading was sparse and not crunchy at all. However, it was a very filling meal, and I definitely had leftovers. To be honest, I loved the sides more than the cutlet. The rice was fluffy and the cabbage salad was refreshing. I also got a simple miso soup.
