We stopped here based on our AirBNB recommendation and had a pretty good experience. It's exactly what you'd expect from a small diner all the way down to the ads on the tabletop and mugs. The food itself was pretty good and I felt like the service was friendly -- the sweet potato fries were especially good and the portions were generous--the bowl of oatmeal was massive! We only had breakfast but the lunch items looked good as well. The only downside I'd note is that it's not a great place for a group larger than 4 as it didn't seem like they had too many tables that could accommodate it. We had to split our party into separate tables after waiting quite a while -- not a huge deal but a bit of a bummer for a family vacation. All & all I wouldn't go out of my way for it - but - would happily return.

We were seated immediately and able to give our order right away. Our server was attentive, and friendly. I didn't catch his name, but on our bill, it said server # 8. Food came about 15 minutes later. The family of 6 next to us had to wait a bit longer. The food is well worth the wait but you may need to be patient. We were very pleased with the mushroom burger and biscuits and gravy. The corn beef hash (I prefer mine chunky) was a bit dry but tasty. An added egg would have helped that. We would definitely come back.

Awesome little diner. Food was great and the service was quick. A must try as you pass through town.

I highly recommend this place! The food is amazing and the staff is very friendly! We ordered sticky buns split and grilled, elk sausage, cinnamon roll waffle and breakfast burrito. They are open from 8am to 2pm. There was a wait to get in, order and get our food. But the understandable considering how good their food is! Reasonably priced too!

Good solid breakfast. This place doesn't give off an air of tourist trap or homey wonders only. It's a blend of both and with a menu to back it up.

Our waitress is very kind went over the specials and offered to get us some drinks which we all got coffee. My girlfriend ordered the Benedict and that it was really good. I split the breakfast tacos in the Monte Cristo with my other friend. The portion sizes were really large. Everything is really good and had nice flavor. Highly recommend for breakfast!!

What a great brunch find in the cute town of Bay Harbor! Little bit of a wait, but worth it. Tip -…read moremake reservations in advance. There is indoor and covered patio seating too. My bestie and I sat inside. Our wait without reservations wasn't too bad. 20 mins! We came on a Monday so maybe not as busy, but we were with the vacation crowd so waiting wasn't an issue. I ordered the chocolate cherry cold brew with cherry foam (special) to start my morning. My bestie ordered fresh squeezed grapefruit juice and a chai. Good selection of fresh juices - orange, grapefruit, and lemonade. Loved my cold brew! Or breakfast I ordered the wild truffle mushroom omelette. No substitutions allowed so if you want to add avocado make sure you say it's a side. I thought of it as an addition versus substitution. My bestie ordered the sausage apple omelette with sausage, honey crisp apples, and smoked Gouda cheese. Delicious! Omelettes come with hash browns or fresh greens and toast. We went with hash browns and an English muffin with fresh strawberry jam. Great vibe. Definitely coming back for breakfast when I'm in the area.

A long time we waited to get in here…read more.. The hours are created by someone who obviously doesn't need the income (open 11-8) It's tough to get off the water and get in before 8 in the summer, then like the rest of the town.. it's closed except the local bar that stays open. The food: Not impressed. 1/8# burgers with the same pricing as a normal restaurant. Fish and chips $4-5 more than average. A medium rare cheeseburger is served well-done Server was very sweet, but not knowledgeable at all. (We really don't blame her at all) We asked about 3 different items, and she was honest about not trying any dishes, maybe new? Day one training should have given staff a taste of signature food so they have something to share with customers. It was also obvious she forgot to put our drink order in and took forever to bring it to us. The place has a great view of the river, but we were so let down after waiting so long to get in. So many spoke so highly of this place, we were really hoping it to be a great experience-but it's really nothing to brag about. We finally came by during mid-afternoon while it was pouring, minimal customers and service should have been on point, but it wasn't. I can't recommend this place at all. Save your money and go to Great Lakes Grill down the street. (I didn't want to give this place any stars, but Yelp requires at least one to post)

Our waitress cheerfully approached us and took our meal order. We both got the soup of the day which came to us right away. A delicious, tasty squash soup and we really enjoyed it. Our food came in a timely fashion piping hot. We both ordered the Pub Dub smash burger and they were perfectly cooked and delicious, came with kettle chips. We enjoyed our meal, service was good, prices comparable to the other restaurants we have gone to in Cheboygan. Debbie/ Bob
