My husband and I got married in Sept 2017 and Chris was our DJ. I am super late doing this review, but Chris absolutely rocked our wedding and we are still thinking about it over a year later!! I'm not exaggerating when I say family and friends still talk about how awesome he was and how much fun they had. Another DJ who was booked for our date actually recommended Chris and I immediately recognized his name from the radio thinking there was no way we could afford this famous DJ. He was super affordable and the packages he offered were comparable to others in the area. We met with Chris in person to go over the event and he was so sweet - we clearly didn't know what we wanted and he was super patient. Chris even gave us some sample timelines of other couples so we had something to copy. Our wedding was at Turf Valley and Chris was familiar with the venue, so he had some really good suggestions - he actually was the reason we extended the reception an extra hour, which we are so glad we did! Chris had 2 conference calls with us where we went through some key songs (father/daughter, first dance, etc.), but we just let him take the reigns on everything else and he absolutely KILLED IT! We used Chris before he had the photo booth and other services, but I'm sure those are top notch as well. I would (and do) recommend Chris to everyone! My husband and I booked Chris for our wedding this summer in DC. There were a little over 200 people in attendance and I can honestly say the dance floor was packed from the moment the music started to the moment it ended. Chris did an amazing job mixing in the songs we wanted along with reading the room and keeping the energy high. He even mixed in some amazing remixes and really blended songs together well. In the weeks after the wedding we have had friends and family still talking about how great the music was and how much they danced! We had high expectations from the glowing reviews and he absolutely blew them away. Chris also was a phenomenal MC. This review is wayyy overdue. However, 3 years later people are still telling us how awesome our wedding DJ was! Chris did a fabulous job of DJing and mixing music for our multicultural wedding. We originally planned to have 2 DJs but when the second DJ backed out he had no problem taking over his soca set! We also contracted lighting from his company and it looked absolutely gorgeous! First Chris is a very big baby and wants things only his way. I see why he don't work in certain industries any longer. Chris is currently in the wedding industry; whereas he services: DJ'ing, lighting, emceeing, photo booth rental and cloud effect. My fiancé and I, sort out his many services for our upcoming wedding. Overall, Chris is very unprofessional and beyond abrupt. Chris submitted his contract and upon review, it was lacking in many areas. My wedding planner ask him to include those needed things and make amendments to contract. Chris wanted to run the show and was very resistant. Those added things were very simple requests, made by the wedding planner. Chris don't take suggestions well and he also played the avoidance tactic. Chris told my fiancé , "he don't do well with most wedding planners". Huh!! So why are you in the wedding industry? Chris is not a team player, don't get along well with others, other vendors and show's potential with a bad temper. Thankfully we didn't use his service! He's an all around bad vibe. We started working with Chris a year from our wedding. When we initially met Chris, he was very professional and brought one of his djs with him to the meeting. Our wedding was multicultural so ultimately Chris ending up recommending another dj who ended not being available on our wedding day. So we went with his third recommendation Devin. We had an initial phone call with Devin several months in advance to talk him through our expectations. We get to a month prior and I didn't hear anything from Devin so I initiated contact to see what he needed from us including Chris on my email to Devin. (Note: I overheard a conversation between Devin/Chris asking whether or not Devin still wanted to provide services for our wedding). I provided Devin with a timeline (mind you a timeline that I only had because of our initial meeting with Chris-the owner) a month prior to our wedding. There were so many things that he did wrong that night to include: playing the wrong song for my daddy/daughter dance, not playing an intro song for two members of our bridal party, I asked him to play latin music and he did not play any songs from that list, he would play songs and cut them off after a minute of playing, the list goes on. We had a conversation with both Devin and Chris and Devin's justification for his mistakes was to point out my supposed missteps which were completely untrue and I have the emails to prove it. I've never had this bad of an experience with a dj service and it is unfortunately a night that me and my husband can never get back. We received so many messages from people who attended the wedding who said that the ceremony was beautiful but what was wrong with the dj. To boot, Devin claimed that he had no idea that our reception ending at 11:00 p.m. even though I sent him the timeline with the end time of 11:00 p.m. the month prior. Chris' rectified the situation by not charging me the cost it would have been for them to play for an additional hour and returning $250. I really hate to have to write this review but I left the last conversation not feeling that Devin was truly sorry for his mistakes as he kept attempting to place the blame on me for not providing him with information. HIs claim was that I only sent him the information the night before the wedding; what I sent to him the night before the wedding was an update to the timeline. The initial timeline as I said was sent to him a month prior. I could go on and on but again this is a night that we will not get back and I want to ensure that those attempting to book this service are well informed and do not experience what we did. read more

Christ Styles Events provided a DJ and photo booth for my mom's 60th birthday party and it was fabulous!! All the guests had such a great time! The music selection was perfect for the crowd and everyone really enjoyed the photo booth. I want to add to CJT's review. Let me start by saying that I actually think "worst ever" is a bit harsh. He over-used the hip hop horn sound effect to my liking, but he consistently played music that kept people on the dance floor. That is, except for the moment CJT references. I had a clear view of the entire altercation and I'd like to add my perspective. Before I do, I want to add that I was planning to keep my comments to myself until I found out that he contacted the bride on her honeymoon requesting CJT's contact information and that her review be removed. My goal is to stick to the facts. With that in mind, let me set the stage...I was standing across from the DJ booth and had a clear view. It was only by coincidence that I happened to be looking in that direction (I certainly didn't know anything was about to happen). I was not close enough to actually hear what either person was saying while the music was on. What I witnessed was Chris Styles physically shoving a kid (twenty-something male) out the door and then attempting to close the door thereby blocking him from re-entering the party. When the kid returned flailing his arms and yelling at Chris, that's when he stopped the music and demanded to know who's guest the shoving victim was. He then pointed to the far corner and told everyone that "that guy over there (I speculate it was the shoving victim's boyfriend) and this guy over here are pissing me off. They're demanding Britney songs (which we all half cheered at not yet realizing this wasn't a bit) and they're taking pictures and they're pissing me off". He further prompted no one in particular to remove the offenders from the party immediately. Chris closed by saying he was having a good time and wanted to get back to dancing. At that point he turned the music back on and the party resumed. The whole incident was probably over in less than 2 minutes. read more
