The dance floor was packed all night--to the point that we extended the reception an extra hour because it would have been unfair to stop everyone from having such an amazing time! Scott's ability to balance our personal music preferences with songs that kept every guest dancing was truly impressive. He brought such great energy to the night and played a huge part in making our wedding so memorable. We highly recommend Scott for any wedding or event--you will not be disappointed!

Our wedding was a blast thanks to Shawn (DJ Mixxed). From our first meeting with him, we knew that…read morehe would deliver. My wife and I both love soul music, R&B and hip hop and we get kind of annoyed by super pop-py music. But our wedding was a mixed crowd, with older guests that loved old school soul and younger friends that loved pop and anything that equaled a party. In our first meeting, we provided a long list of songs that described our vibe and Shawn said, "Based on what you'd already told me, I would've played these songs anyway." We talked a few weeks before the wedding to discuss the wedding timeline and he requested that we narrow our list to 5 must-plays and he'd do the rest. On the wedding day he definitely delivered. He played slow jam music for dinner, great as background music. For dancing, he mixed songs together perfectly keeping everyone guessing and excited for what song was next, while also packing in as many songs as possible. He played songs that my wife and I love, that we never even thought to put on our original list. We kept thinking, "How did he know to play that song?" And we weren't the only ones. Shawn catered to everyone's interests without sacrificing the mood we desired for the wedding. The guests stayed on the dance floor the ENTIRE night. He also provided sound and mics for the ceremony and generously coordinated ahead of time with our videographer so that he could record the ceremony sound for our wedding video. Ultimately, I can't say enough about how great Shawn was. Music can be the backbone of your wedding day and he achieved a soulful, comfy and classy dinner mood, followed by an awesome, yet family-friendly party on the dance floor. For any occasion, Shawn listens, cares and can deliver based on your preferences. He takes his work seriously and works hard to provide the soundtrack for your day that fits you. I should add that Elite Mixers, was by far, the most affordable DJ we came across.

He didn't act like a radio host, interjecting too much dialogue. We had two meetings before the wedding to discuss what we wanted out of cocktail/dinner music and music for the rest of the night. He understood exactly what we wanted through the night. When we did request last minute songs he made sure to keep the flow of the party by adding the right lead in songs. There wasn't an abrupt change in the flow. My dad had a very specific song he wanted for our dance from YouTube. Chris picked it up, did some editing, and it was perfect! He also helped nudge my husband to the dance floor when we got separated for one of our must plays, which I'm so appreciative of because the moment my husband and I had was one of our best! You can't go wrong with Chris. He is incredible!!

He was so great our family had him do a birthday party a few years later and more recently, my sister's wedding in June 2019. Certain members of my family make his job significantly more difficult than it should be, but he handles them perfectly and runs an incredible party every time. He works with the bride and groom closely to make sure that he gives them exactly what they want/need, explaining when he thinks they should make another choice (trust his judgment, he's got the experience and he's good at what he does). I can't recommend him highly enough.

I've hired and referred MAPDJA countless times over the past 20 years - from our prom to my wedding to friends' weddings/events to each of our reunions since graduating. We held this event at RANGE in the Chevy Chase Pavilion in Washington, DC. We usually have the owner, Kurtis Cross, DJ our events, however he was booked for a wedding, so we were assigned DJ Shawn Parker. Although I know that Kurtis trains exceptional DJs, I was admittedly a little nervous about having a DJ that I'd never met do our event. However, the moment Shawn introduced himself, I felt at ease. Shawn showed up early and set up all of his equipment quickly and seamlessly. He made sure to connect with me and review the details, including what music we wanted to hear and any announcements that needed to be made. He checked in with me during to make sure everything was running smoothly. The music he played was perfect. The crowd was dancing and enjoying reminicing. The restaurant never once complained to us about the music/noise level. At one point, I asked Shawn if I could jot down a few notes - things I wanted to remember to do and/or announce, including organizing a group photo. I assigned times to each task. Shawn took it upon himself to remind me about 10 mins in advance of each activity to make sure that I didn't forget. I also want to note that Sean was dressed very well for the occasion - in a suit, exactly as requested. He has a fantastic announcer voice and great timing. He read the crowd very well and knew what song selections to play when. He entertained requests and handled each guest with exceptional professionalism. I was thrilled with the quality of the service. This is a truly professional and reliable company and I will continue to use and recommend them to anyone looking for a phenomenal DJ service. Frankly, I can't imagine hiring anyone else.

From…read morestart to finish, Iman and his team did absolutely everything they could do to make the wedding planning process seamless and our wedding day exactly how we imagined. We were planning our wedding during the pandemic and things were constantly uncertain as to whether or not the wedding would be able go to on. Iman and DJ Kia had routine calls with us to check-in and offer advice. We knew we could trust their opinions and flexility during the uncertain times. On the day of the wedding, DJ Kia was so involved with every aspect of the ceremony and reception. He knew exactly what to do, when to do it, and how to make our wedding day an unforgettable experience. He literally orchestrated our ceremony processional and was making sure everything was running smoothly. Everyone felt at ease walking down the aisle because DJ Kia was there to send them off. We were lucky enough to have Iman MC our wedding, and believe us when we tell you he knows how to put on a show. The dance floor comes alive with Iman on stage and everyone was out of their seats and dancing the entire night. Our cocktail hour ended up going over schedule, which pushed back our reception. It was no worry though, because Iman was there to quickly restructure the timeline and ensure everything ran smoothly. Even with unexpected issues, we felt completely at ease knowing he had us covered. He is such a genuine person who truly cares about his client's happiness. We also used Night Owls for our video production and working with them was a truly pleasant experience. They captured every aspect of the wedding beautifully. In just a few short weeks, we had our trailer and wedding video created, both of which were edited to our liking. They were extremely patient with us throughout the process and the end result is videos we still can't stop watching! Thank you to Brandon and the team at Night Owls for all of their hard work. We also want to give a special thanks to Wake on the sax, Farzan on the drums, and Cyrus on the cello. These three gentleman made the music come alive and our guests could not stop raving about how talented they were. My wife and I still talk about just how great it was working with Exclusively Entertainment and we would absolutely recommend them for your events!

His attention to detail and professionalism were second to none. I think he got like 3 requests for other weddings just during the 4 hours he was working ours! There are a lot of people out there who are much more expensive than Marc, but unless they are serving food in between songs, I don't know how they could justify those prices.
