Aside from the caterer and the venue for the reception, I think a DJ is one of the biggest things people remember about your wedding. He played all of the songs off the list we gave him and did a great job of figuring out what other songs we might like based upon our musical interests. His attention to detail and professionalism were second to none. He made sure that he could pronounce everyone's name correctly and he double checked the times that we were doing the cake cutting, father daughter dance, etc. I think the biggest testament to him was that all throughout the night we kept getting people coming up to us asking for his name and number. I think he got like 3 requests for other weddings just during the 4 hours he was working ours! There are a lot of people out there who are much more expensive than Marc, but unless they are serving food in between songs, I don't know how they could justify those prices. We highly recommend him for your next party or your wedding. read more

Matt Luck DJ'd our ceremony and our reception, and he did a fantastic job! He hyped the party up and chose a great mixture of songs that had every generation out on the dance floor. We also appreciated that when we emailed him the day before to request a light for the dance floor, he was able to accommodate. We would definitely recommend Matt to others looking for a wedding DJ. read more

The services DJ Wyatt provided us were very good. He was affordable and was happy to work with us to determine what extras we could afford within our budget. We provided him with lists of must-plays, play-if-possibles, and do-not-plays and he stuck by them. He was even able to get songs for us that he didn't initially have in his music library. Since we were across the country we didn't have a chance to meet him before our wedding, but we did talk with him a few times over the phone so that he could get a feel for the types of music that we like and the vibe that we wanted. He didn't just stick to the current hits, which we really appreciated, and we heard from several of our guests that they really enjoyed the music. He was very meticulous in getting the details right for us and helped us move the party along, from helping people get seated, to calling up tables for the buffet, to getting everyone together for the cake cutting. He even threw in up-lighting as a gift because we weren't sure if we wanted lighting and he thought it would look nice. Having DJ Wyatt at our wedding made everything easier and I would highly recommend him. read more

You did an awesome job at our wedding and kept your promise of having everyone dancing! I wouldn't have changed a thing. I plan on recommending you to anyone I know getting married etc. in need of a DJ. read more

Marc provided the music for our wedding reception. My bride and I were very pleased with Marc's work--he did a great job incorporating the songs that were special to us along with other tracks that all of our guests loved. I can't even begin to describe how much fun we all had dancing, and it was very much due to Marc. He was also quite adept at being a master of ceremonies without drawing too much attention to himself--he knew exactly when to make his presence known and where to hang back. Marc was particularly great when he helped us out with planning the order of events at our reception. We really had no idea how we should lay things out, from the introductions to the toasts to the dances with our parents and with each other. Marc was really great about helping us nail down a timeline that worked for us, and we really benefited from his experience. Overall, we were very impressed with his professionalism and willingness to give us a hand with other parts of our reception. I'd recommend him to anyone looking for great quality music work. He's very responsive with any requests, and will help to make your day go off without a hitch. read more

Marc did our wedding reception at the Westin and he was very professional and got everyone on the dance floor. He kept us on schedule without overtaking the spotlight. We only had a few requests so we were relying on him to pick great songs which he did and he played our requests at the best times. Could not recommend a better DJ! read more

Marc was great to work with. He's very organized and experienced. He knows what music will keep people on the dance floor. I was a bit skeptical because I can be a music snob, but Marc had people dancing all night. He really knows what he's doing. He worked with us on our schedule and kept everything organized the day of. He was even so kind as to call us the day before the wedding and make sure that everything was going okay. It was a really nice touch. You can't go wrong with choosing him! read more

I contacted Marc for my aunts surprise 50th birthday. He referred a friend by the name of Rob! He did an outstanding job, the music was wonderful just what we asked for and everything that Rob did as well. I highly recommend Marc and his friend Rob. My aunt was so surprised and dance the night away! Thank you so much Rob! read more

Absolutely amazing. We hired Marc for our ceremony and reception and everything was absolutely perfect. He was incredibly professional and patient with us through the entire process. He provided the perfect balance of accepting our wishes and providing thoughtful and professional advice. His music selection was exactly what we wanted. He also kept the reception on track and moving at a good pace. Marc is also 100% LGBTQ friendly. We cannot say enough good things. Absolutely hire him. read more

I just got married a couple weeks ago at the end of July 2014. And we hired Marc because of the great reviews he already had. One thing's for sure...he deserves all the good things you can read about him. He is very organized, friendly, and extremely accommodating and helpful. And obviously he's a great DJ that will rock the party like a "boss" is supposed to. Planning for the Wedding Reception: We met with him in the beginning of our planning process, and he was very helpful from the get go. While my wife and I were still trying to figure out how a wedding is supposed to happen in the first place, he was prepared to help us make it through even if we had no idea what we would need from him yet: - He provided us with a huge list of songs from all genres and eras so we could start to get an idea of what we wanted the reception to sound like. (A list that I am actually still enjoying since it has a ton of classics I had forgotten about.) - He helped us figure out how a reception generally runs. He obviously has a lot of experience with weddings and therefore could guide us on what would work verses what would likely be better staying a fantasy. :) And all while absolutely not imposing anything on us. He offered advice but insisted that it was our wedding and he would work with whatever we wanted to do. - He provided us with a sample timeline that we were able to use to determine our desired reception plans. - All this in the first meeting before we even booked him! Then throughout the whole planning process he was always just one email or phone call away if we had questions. I tried to set a couple meetings with him as we were getting closer to the wedding date and had to cancel them because of family matters, both times he was totally understanding and helped me reschedule; never sounding condescending or somewhat annoyed. We ended up having an hour long meeting over skype to go over the details. He also had previously provided us with an online form that had questions to help us make sure we had all the details worked out for our reception. All in all he was very organized and a pleasure to work with, but this was all during the planning period. On the Wedding Day: During the actual reception, he was able to make our wedding reception lots of fun. All my guests will remember that night for a very long time. I am from West Africa and had some family flying in and I asked Marc if we could incorporate some of our African music for them to enjoy and feel at home during the wedding. He never heard these songs before, but as a great DJ is supposed to, he was able to mix them along with all the good old school, hot40 hits, and the lovely traditional tunes. The whole musical environment of that party was fun. He mixed traditional and modern like it was meant to be together and this kept the dance floor filled! It was an amazing night. Marc was also a great MC, and worked with the vendors to start the different elements of the reception (dinner, cake etc.) when they were ready. He spoke clearly and audibly, did no awkward jokes and came to us to see us and find out when we were ready for our parts (first dance, garter and bouquet toss etc). He was cool but still professional throughout the night. I had to write a great review to thank Marc for his work. He deserves your business and he has the knowledge, the experience, and the skills to make your wedding reception an unforgettable one. read more

Marc Augenbraum is an extremely skilled and professional DJ who helped our wedding ceremony and reception go off exactly the way we'd hoped. He listens very well and really tries to put the couple's plan into action. Leading up to our event, he was very quick to respond to questions via phone and email and took the time to come meet us in person to get to know us and what we wanted. He helped us fill in the blanks when it came to how things should run -- from helping us estimate how much music we'd need for the wedding party processional to providing sample playlists of music for the prelude to the ceremony. He also assured us that he could loop music if necessary (and I'm not even sure if he did, because things went so smoothly it wasn't noticeable). Marc's great at bringing and moving his own equipment and making it work with the space provided. The sound quality was solid (and neither too loud nor too soft) and the wireless mics (which we used for toasts and such) were also high quality. He worked very well with our day-of wedding coordinator, as well as with our other vendors. He also easily accommodated some quirks of the venue (the speakers needed to face a particular direction to avoid noise complaints from the neighbors). Marc doesn't insert himself uneccesarily into the event. He never interrupted the process and he didn't crack lame jokes. Rather, he worked according to the schedule we gave him, and pulled it off in a way that made it seem natural. He was able to roll with any small adjustments and he and our DOC worked to make sure that the entire event went smoothly. He worked well with some of our special requests -- for example, we made a point of singing happy birthday to the groom's grandmother for her 75th birthday and the bride's uncle. He was able to direct the attention of our guests to special moments (like the cutting of the cake) but remained unobtrusive. Perhaps most importantly, Marc was able to read the crowd and keep everyone on the dance floor. We opted for an all-passed tapas reception instead of a seated dinner, and Marc was able to come up with some music to play when folks were eating that was fun and allowed for dancing, but didn't drown out conversation. Later in the evening, when it was all about the dance floor, Marc made sure that everyone was having a great time, from the teenagers to the grandparents. We'd given Marc a "must play" list of songs, all of which he played, but we also wanted to give Marc the freedom to mix in some songs as he saw fit. He did an amazing job of reading the crowd and playing whatever got people dancing, which was a priority for us. He also stayed away from our do-not-play songs. We would highly recommend Marc to anyone looking for a wedding DJ, especially if you're incorporating a dance party, toasts and other celebratory elements that require the attention of the audience. His fees are more than reasonable for the high quality of his services, and he was able to work with us regarding our budget to eliminate extras like lighting that we didn't really want or need (but he can provide if you need them). We feel lucky to have found him and so many of our great memories are intertwined with the music that Marc provided for us! read more

Marc was great to work with from start to finish. He really listened and understood the mood we were going for. He was on time, professional, and really got the guests dancing. He has an online portal that was helpful in getting us to think about specific things - e.g. introductions, when the cake cutting would happen, etc. He's got great experience to help brides think through all those details. I have already recommended him to friends and family. Truly top notch. I can't say enough nice things! read more

Marc provided the music at our wedding reception. We chose him because we had already done a great job at my sister's wedding a few years before. He was well-prepared and we did not have to worry about anything the day of! He called me about a week before and ran through everything with me to make sure that everything was the way that we wanted it. During the reception, he even tracked down a song request for a friend to surprise me! We would highly recommend Marc. read more

Marc is a very engaging DJ who listens and who quickly understood the wedding atmosphere we desired. He met with us in person and he was very attentive as well as punctual. Communication between us was timely and responsive. He worked well with our wedding coordinator and was able to provide last minute sound services during the ceremony (outdoors). His online music planning questionnaire was extremely helpful as it allowed us the time to think and discuss our music selection and "do not play list". During the wedding he was attentive to the guests and the mood of the wedding where he played the most appropriate songs to get people to dance. He knew when to slow it down or pick it up. Overall our expectations were met and we really enjoyed working with Marc. We would highly recommend him to any future couple looking for an experienced and reliable DJ. read more

I worked with Marc for our recent wedding. I chose him out of the other vendors we interviewed because a) he didn't try to upsell me on anything that I didn't want, and b) he seemed really intimate with the kind of music we wanted at the event, which was more 40's/50's swing-style music. Let me tell you: Marc was amazing. He seriously blew us out of the water when it came to the wedding. We hired him to play music during the dinner reception and dancing. All the music he chose to play was amazing - it was the exact atmosphere we were hoping to have at our wedding and he NAILED it. And after dinner, during the dancing, I was so surprised by how many of my guests he got up and dancing. One of the things I was worried about with the wedding were the lack of much younger people (mostly family at the wedding) - but Marc had EVERYONE dancing - it was so amazing! The wedding went 100x better than I ever imagined and I think it's because we had him there. I couldn't thank him enough for giving us such amazing music and dancing. read more

We had a great experience with Marc Augenbraum DJ Services. Our DJ was Matthew Luck, and he was great to communicate with via email and phone calls, and he accommodated our musical tastes and announcement preferences like a true pro. Our crowd had a great time. I would definitely recommend this service to others. read more

Marc is a perfect DJ! My wife and I recently hired him for our wedding and he did a perfect job! We had several meetings to go over every detail and calm the brides nerves leading up to the day. He put together a great playlist and there was never a need for a request as he was already ahead of us. Marc is a can't miss for any party or wedding! read more

Marc provided the music services for our wedding and he was fantastic. He is a consummate professional who takes his work very seriously and his dedication shows. He took extra time to ensure he had all the pronunciations correct for us (my last name is VERY tricky) and nailed it! Marc is also very experienced in the industry, having done this for decades, and his passion is apparent the minute you meet him. He is not just a great resource for music, but also gave us advice and pointers on other general wedding planning items too. He is a great DJ and a great guy. Not to mention his prices are very fair and affordable. We'd hire him again in a heartbeat, and recommend him to our friends in the area who are looking for music services. Thanks Marc! read more

Marc was absolutely incredible at our wedding. He always returned my calls and emails promptly and took the time to meet with us before the wedding to get the final details together. He played all of the music on our request list and kept it to the (narrow) list of genres that we told him we wanted. He expertly saved us from a potentially very embarrassing situation by not allowing a drunk guest of ours to make a toast by politely explaining that there wasn't enough time for another toast. Many guests mentioned how great the music was and how much fun they had, and a lot of the credit goes to Marc. Definitely recommend if your goal is some good old fashioned, classy fun. read more

Marc was great to work with and did an awesome job at our wedding. He had good suggestions regarding the timeline, did a great job timing which songs to play when, and made the music, not himself, the main act. We and our guests had an awesome time, and we would certainly recommend him to others. read more

Our family poured over numerous different websites and companies looking for the perfect DJ for our party and finally settled on working with Marc. To say the least, we have no regrets! Marc worked for quite some time with my mom to help her pick perfect and meaningful songs to play throughout their 40th wedding anniversary party. She had a vision of the vibe/theme of the party and Marc really worked with us to try and make that a reality. Leading up to the party, the music was at the top of her list of things she was really excited about (which is impressive given the planning part of an event isn't often all that fun). Long story short, Marc was amazing at every step of the process. He is accommodating and flexible and his communication style and personal attention really made us feel like he cared as much about our event as we did. We couldn't be more grateful for his time and expertise. You won't regret adding Marc to part of your event team! read more

I called Marc Augenbraum DJ Services to inquire about a DJ for my August 29, 2015 wedding. (And I called within a month of my wedding date!) Marc was great to talk to. Not only was he very personable, but he was extremely professional as well. He hooked me up with a DJ named Wyatt Hill (Y it Entertainment). Wyatt totally rocked my reception! Everyone from 3 year olds to 75 year olds danced all night long! Both Marc and Wyatt were great to work with throughout the entire process and they both made my wedding night a huge success! I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for DJ services for their wedding. read more

Marc was incredibly responsive and flexible, and he got people dancing all wedding long. It was the perfect day. Thank you so much!

Marc was extremely professional and with a pleasant predisposition and tons of experience, oversaw our wedding in ease and style. Lots of our guests commented after how amazing Marc's dance set was. I strongly recommend him. read more

We hired Marc Augenbraum DJ Services for our September 2014 wedding. Working with Marc was very easy and he's a true professional. The morning of our day, it was pouring rain in the morning and with our ceremony being outside, we were to have music before and after the ceremony. Thankfully, about 3 hrs before the ceremony, the rain stopped and Marc was very accommodating in keeping with the plan--even though the ground was saturated--to set up his equipment outside and it was perfect. When it was time for the reception and the music, everything was terrific. We had guests of varying ages and with Marc's knowledge of reading the audience and knowing his music, everyone was up and dancing, including my 89-yr old mother. Our guests had such a great time dancing, we barely followed the timeline put together because again, Marc was excellent at reading the rhythm of the night. We received many, many compliments on the wonderful evening of music. We'd definitely hire Marc's services again and highly recommend him for your wedding. read more

Our daughter and new son-in-law were married on April 11, 2015. They chose Marc to be the DJ at the reception because of his experience, professional demeanor and friendly manner. We had a great time at the ballroom and much of that was because Marc was the perfect DJ for the job. He communicated by phone with the bride-to-be so that she and her fiancé knew how to best select the music for the reception. He provided a complete list of recordings that proved to be excellent for the celebration. The communication between Marc and us was excellent and we were able to plan a terrific party. The fun began after the wedding and everyone enjoyed the program that Marc and the kids produced. The dance floor was never empty but full of our families and friends having fun. We had a wedding of an easterner to a westerner and that made for an excellent mix of music not to mention dance styles. We highly recommend Marc. read more

We had to navigate a very culturally diverse group of guests and traditions (a British girl + 1/2 Dutch and 1/2 Greek boy = Big fat mostly Greek, somewhat British, with nods to the Netherlands wedding) and it simply couldn't have been done without Marc. From the moment we met him he was willing to work with us on anything we needed, from negotiating a fair price to locating elusive cultural dance music. We had to have two first dances (one Greek and one American) and he was fantastic in working our timeline, offering suggestions, and even researching the appropriate way to pronounce song names and other culturally difficult things to pronounce. Marc was with us every step of the very very confusing way and was one element of the wedding that I had absolutely no anxiety about whatsoever. He is an amazing professional with the persona of a friend and I have and will continue to recommend his services at every opportunity. read more
