When you book, you have an initial consultation with someone from their team who asks thoughtful questions about your style and preferences, and then they match you with DJs based on your vision. That's how we were paired with Andrew. Their communication and planning tools were fantastic. They provide an online portal where you and your DJ can both input and update everything from song requests to timeline details. I had several follow-up calls with Andrew to make sure he really understood our vibe -- and on the day of, the energy and music were absolutely perfect. The ceremony went off without a hitch, and once the dancing started, Andrew really shined. His transitions, timing, and song selections for the dance party were spot-on -- the exact fun, high-energy vibe we were hoping for. Our guests were raving about how much fun they had, and the dance floor stayed full the entire time. Hi Karl,   In…read moreaddition to providing unsatisfactory services, you are now claiming that a lot of the concerns I raised are slanderous by providing fabricated details of the conversation I had with Pulse Entertainment. I only wrote my original review to warn others and typically would not care to respond to something like this, but this warrants a response solely due the lack of respect Pulse Entertainment clearly has for its clients.   Firstly, I have time stamps proving that the first email I sent out to your Operations Manager (Dani Mazer) was at 10:32am on Monday, June 27th. Pulse Entertainment had all of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday to respond to me, as I wrote my review on the evening of June 30th. Even if you needed time to assemble your team and discuss my concerns, Ms. Mazer could have responded to my email to let me know that the matter was being addressed and you all would reach out when possible. Instead, I was left with the impression that I was being ignored after 4 business days, not 2. When I finally did get in touch with you all over the phone on July 5th, Ms. Mazer herself agreed that Pulse Entertainment should have provided me with an update after my initial email and will do so for future clients.   Secondly, the phone call I placed to reach Pulse Entertainment was not placed outside of normal business hours. Your business hours are listed as 8am to 6pm on Mondays-Fridays. I called you at 5:36pm. I understand that this was late in the day, but the sole reason for that was because I wanted to give you the full day to respond before I posted my review. Regardless, the fact that a lot of your staff does not work on weekdays is not reflected in the business hours listed for Pulse Entertainment on your website, so there is no way for clients to know what is happening behind the scenes.   During my phone call with Ms. Mazer about my concerns, I did not "insist" on Pulse Entertainment giving me my money back in exchange for me deleting my reviews, so for you to use false statements to excuse your actions is extremely unprofessional and frankly very concerning. After we finished discussing the matter, I asked Ms. Mazer what could be done in this situation, as my husband and I were dissatisfied but the payment for the services had already been completed. She asked what I would want from you all and I stated that if it was possible, providing half of the money I paid for the services back to us would be appreciated. She then asked me what I would do in exchange for that money back, to which I responded that I could either update or take down my reviews. I do not believe it was irrational of me to request some of my payment back. Ms. Mazer was the one who set the tone of my request to be transactional, not me. Further, she even went to the extent of saying that she would need to discuss our conversation with her team to see if it was even possible for me to get a partial refund. She stated that if they agreed, I would most likely need to sign a formal contract about what I would need to change in my original review. You stated that you want all your reviews to be honest to be unbiased and honest, but the very nature of Ms. Mazer's comment proves that her intention was for Pulse Entertainment to control the content of my new review to make you look better. For you to think that I would want a couple hundred dollars of "hush money" after spending thousands of dollars on a wedding is extremely degrading.   My husband never touched the buttons on the microphone, so he was not the reason it turned off. Our officiant also informed us that he did not the turn the microphone back on after my husband's vows, it just started working again on its own. As for the DJ's services on the day of my wedding, you yourself admitted that he played older songs that were not on our playlist to get the elder crowd on the dance floor. While his effort may have been genuine, the playlist my husband and provided to the DJ was catered to the songs WE wanted to play at our wedding. Changing the songs based on the demographic of the crowd rather than following the desires of the bride and groom is not necessarily a positive approach to DJ-ing a wedding. If we had already provided you with the information about the type of songs we wanted you to play, it should not be expected for us to step away from our wedding celebration to inform you of our dissatisfaction with your song choices.   To be quite honest, at this point the issues that occurred on the day of my wedding are minute compared to the demeaning tone of the response you gave to my original review. Clearly either Ms. Mazer falsely relayed our phone conversation to you, or you simply chose to attempt to paint my concerns in a negative light in the hopes that potential clients would not be deterred from using your services.
