Karl is extremely punctual (if not ahead of schedule) and easy to get in touch with. He is truly an expert in the industry and thinks about your wedding at every angle to ensure it goes smoothly while keeping the tone you want your wedding to have. This was the vendor I felt most comfortable with during the wedding process, because I wholeheartedly trusted their judgement and attention to detail. Because of this and their fair cost, my wedding stress was reduced. My guests had a great time, which was definitely a result of the Pulse team "working the crowd". My husband and I knowingly chose songs that weren't mainstream, but the team was able to play our songs along with crowd pleasers at a pace that encouraged dancing. The team also ensured the whole night ran smoothly between speeches, traditional dances, last call, etc. We had a video play during our first dance, which they set up so everyone could see, but was not in the way. The team was very flexible. At one point in the night, it was time for the father/daughter dance and the team let me know. I was not ready yet, but they had no problem waiting until I was. They also knew exactly where my dad was before I could even ask! There were some vendors I had that disappointed me, because they were very expensive, but did not provide quality service. Pulse Entertainment was the complete opposite of this as they went above and beyond my expectations for a fair price. If you're looking for a DJ for your event, look no further! Karl and the other staff of Pulse Entertainment have absolutely exceeded my expectations! I sent an email to Karl from Pulse Entertainment on a Sunday evening, not expecting to receive a response until Monday during business hours, but to my surprise I got an immediate response answering some of my questions. Even better, I had a phone conversation with Karl that Sunday evening around 7PM, and he described his business in detail and answered all of my questions. When he said they had one more open slot for the day of our wedding, I immediately reserved it that night -- talk about making a great first impression! Fast forward a few weeks to before our wedding, Karl emailed a super helpful schedule template for the day of our wedding and asked about our song preferences. We had another phone conversation going over the name pronunciations of my family and friends, as well as finalizing the timeline for the big day. On our wedding day, Karl kept us on track with the schedule and based on how the day was going, we moved up our toasts earlier so as to not have a lull in the night. The music during the rehearsal was perfect. Our guests were on their feet dancing the entire night -- the dance floor was never empty! Our music request was a little vague, requesting popular dance pop music and 80s songs, but Pulse Entertainment did a phenomenal job in selecting songs for our wedding. I am SO impressed with the quality of service from Pulse Entertainment! From the beginning to the very end, Karl was so prompt, kind and helfpul in responding to all of my questions and concerns. I even emailed Karl the morning of my wedding to make another small adjustment and he responded in less than 10 minutes saying it was no problem. Karl and his staff were also able to edit music selections for my first dances that were PERFECT. He did not hesitate to incorporate my unique ideas and give me advice when needed to help make the ceremony and reception run smoothly since I did not have a wedding coordinator. Karl was by far my most responsive vendor and I truly felt like he cared about making my wedding perfect. I even recommended Karl to my brother for his wedding that was before my own, because I was already so confident with his level of service. We cannot recommend Pulse Entertainment enough. I had actually had a call with another DJ company right before my introductory call with Pulse Entertainment and the contrast was astonishing. Pulse came to the meeting prepared; they had clear communication, super helpful details/recommendations/ideas and were clearly very organized. I immediately felt we were in good hands so the choice was quite easy. Their pricing is also super incredible given the quality they provide! Before the wedding, our DJ (Ivan) took his time to intentionally listen to our requests and to help us fine tune our timeline with helpful suggestions. On the actual wedding day, Pulse Enterntainment was incredible. The wedding was outside and even when a surprise rainstorm rolled through, the Pulse team got to work to troubleshoot and problem solve making sure the gear made it safely under the tent. When it came to the dance floor...WOW! One of the first things our guests have said to us following the wedding is "your DJ was SO awesome." We gave Ivan the freedom to read the room and add his own twist to our playlist and he did an incredible job. Everyone, I mean everyone, was on the dance floor; from 3 year olds to 80 year olds. Our DJ even helped the bride (me) pull off a surprise dance with the bridal party during the dancing portion of the night. Karl and his team did a great job for my wedding. Karl responds to emails within minutes and is excellent about communication and correspondence. They're very good about hearing you out and accommodating what you want as long as you're very specific. Karl also has a lot of suggestions that come from a wealth of experience in the field -- he's quick to add the disclaimer that he's not trying to be pushy but is instead just trying to inform you about what may or may not work well, which my wife and I greatly appreciated. The announcements, introductions, and sound set ups were all done perfectly. There were a couple of areas where we were a bit disappointed though. They have teams of at least two DJ's, and we expected someone to always be manning the sound system at all times (e.g. taking turns eating their vendor meals). During dinner, an accidental discordant avant-garde piano piece came on while no one was present (guests were all looking around confused at the crazy, unsettling music playing)! So I had to run into the vendor's room to find Karl to fix it and by the time we got back, the song was over. It was an honest mistake, but it was one that could pretty easily have been avoided. Other than that chaotic moment, everything was smooth and excellent! read more

We are so glad we went with Pulse for our wedding. The company was professional from the beginning and the CEO was the one who initially spoke with us. He was polite and walked us through what to expect since we were not familiar with weddings. They made it easy with the online portal. We had Evan assigned to us as our DJ, and he was very professional. He made sure we had everything we needed to have a good time. He also let us know we had the option of calling, texting, or emailing him at any time if we needed to make any changes. Everyone had a great time dancing to the music and we didn't have to worry about it at all. We also booked a photobooth through them with a partner company. It was a big hit with all our guests. The photobooth came with two very kind and professional operators who made it very easy to get photos done. Since our venue was a bit cramped, it also served as a spot for some family photos. The quality of the photos were really good as well. A few days after the wedding, we received a google drive with all the photos from the booth and it was so nice to see everyone having fun with the props. read more

We couldn't have been more pleased with Pulse Entertainment's DJ and photobooth service. First, we booked them well before Covid and as we continuously had to reschedule, they worked with us diligently to adjust as needed. They were always available to chat through details, they were incredibly well organized leading up to the event, and flexible to our needs and the needs of our venue. But where they TRULY shone was on the BIG day. Both Darrel (our DJ) and Sarah (our photobooth operator) were so incredible. Pulse entertainment was excellent. They were always available to answer any and all my questions. They came up with a great timeline sheet that we were able to fill out and also give to our day of wedding coordinator. Everyone at the wedding loved the music and they were able to read the crowd for what was working. They also played a wide variety of music for all ages so that everyone felt involved. One of the best things we did was get the uplighting for the venue. We originally were not thinking it was going to make much of a difference, however, it made everything look so much nicer and we were glad we went with it. Also side note for those worried about kids, the uplighting lamps were not hot to touch even after being used for hours which saved a lot of problems for those guests that brought tiny children. For the price that Pulse charges for a DJ, I honestly do not see why you would go with anyone else. read more

Karl and team did an awesome job. Out of all the vendors we hired for our wedding, they're the only ones who executed on point! Guests told us later that "You know how to throw a party!" and we think Pulse was most of the reason. They played the songs we gave them, and didn't play anything on our "do not play" list. Throughout the planning process Karl was thorough, making sure we signed off on all the details, including getting the name pronunciations right. He was patient in answering our questions about which versions of songs to play, where to start them, and if he thought they'd get guests on the dance floor. I'm also glad we went with the uplighting, as it made the ambiance and the pics! Originally I didn't think it was needed but it made the reception that much better! When choosing a DJ it was really important to us to find someone that was willing to work with our specific requests and help our vibe for our evening come together, not just tell us what we should do without taking our opinions into account. Karl was the perfect professional for that - he listened to everything we wanted, made helpful suggestions and offered advice for how to make the evening flow smoothly, and did all the behind the scenes work with our day of coordinator so we had nothing to worry about on our wedding day. My wife and I were married in July 2017. We chose Pulse initially because they seemed like a great value for the price. And they really were! We met with Karl (the owner) for an hour at a local coffee shop to discuss his services before signing the contract. He was great to work with and very professional. We did have an issue though, where the venue only allowed us to set up 2 hours prior to the beginning of the ceremony. Pulse required a third DJ to set up within that window. We weren't thrilled at the idea of paying that many people, but they discounted the third DJ quite a bit to accommodate. Our wedding ceremony ran smoothly, and the reception was a blast! Aside from a minor hiccup here or there, we're really glad we went with Pulse. The lighting was incredible, DJs were great "personalities," and the price was very reasonable. We had Christian as our wedding DJ from Pulse Entertainment and he was fantastic! Pulse provided a detailed form leading up to the wedding that covered all aspects of the wedding like what music to play during cocktail hour, introductions, dinner, and special moments like cake cutting and bouquet toss. They also have the option to link a Spotify playlist to the form with must play songs which was very convenient. Having a form instead of doing everything by phone allowed us to take our time thinking everything out. Christian scheduled a brief phone call after we filled out the form to iron out the schedule and other small details which was comforting as well. He knew exactly what we were going for with our main dance music. They were very meticulous on every little detail, and made sure it was personalized to what was perfect for us! There is an in-depth online questionnaire to make sure each event of the night is covered, and then a follow up phone call that will walk you though everything you wrote down, plus any other questions you may have.
