We loved having Dave as our wedding DJ! It was very easy to work with him. Dave helped us design a timeline for the evening and accommodated some of our more unique requests -- for example, we wrote the entire cocktail hour/dinner playlist ourselves, and Dave went with the flow on that with no problem. He kept spirits up during the reception and helped keep things on schedule with a few last-minute tweaks here and there. Could not recommend Dave more highly. Additionally, Hesson was flexible when we needed to reschedule our wedding (twice) due to COVID. The client portal they use is a little unwieldy, but easy enough once you get the hang of it. Mike himself was very nice and professional. Meeting with him was flexible and he was so prepared for all of our questions and requests. Our wedding had the BEST music every. Hesson entertainment was wonderful. Michael was professional and easy to work with. Our DJ at the wedding was fantastic. He got everyone up on the dance floor - I've never seen so many people dancing before at a wedding! I also appreciate that the DJ played pretty much every song on our playlist - both for dancing and "eating" music. I attended a wedding last year where Mike was the DJ...Knew from that moment he would be the DJ at my daughter's wedding. He was great to work with. He helped us with the big and small details. From the evening's timeline to great suggestions for the music. The Bride and Groom picked half of the songs played... We left it up for Mike to pick the other half. The Wait Staff at the Venue share with me that this was the best wedding music they had ever heard at a wedding... and the staff was caught dancing back in the kitchen. We booked Hesson Entertainment after seeing them on a preferred vendor list for a venue we toured (but didn't end up booking). We were so pleased with the organization, execution by the DJ, the beautiful lighting, and the competitive pricing this vendor offered. Michael and his team made the planning process simple. We initially met to learn more about his company and determine if we wanted to book. We reserved Michael about a year out from our wedding date, and were thankful that he offered packages that accommodated couples that wanted to use his music services for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. It made it easy to have everything covered by one vendor. We later added the lighting package that Michael offered, and I am so pleased with how this turned out. After explaining what we wanted, we appreciated Michael's expertise in this area, and helping us decide what the most cost effective option would be to achieve the look we desired, while also considering the time & length of the event. Lastly, our DJ David was p-h-e-n-o-m-e-n-a-l! We had a mixed group of guests: young & old, Midwest & City, oldies fans, rap fans, you name it! David kept our dance floor packed and hopping the entire reception! Not to mention, he thoroughly executed our sports themed entrance to the reception, and brought just the right amount of flair to the event! I've been to weddings before where the DJ tries to steal the show, and he certainly made us the stars that night. I was also happy that David called me a few nights before the wedding to ensure I didn't have any questions or last minute comments/changes. This personalized touch really made me feel comfortable with this vendor, and provided me peace of mind that he was going to create an awesome reception environment for our guests. I can't say enough good things about the owner, Michael, and our DJ, David. This vendor truly exceeded the expectations that my husband and I had for our wedding... They really helped create a picture perfect atmosphere at our reception, and I will be forever grateful to them for that! We had a fantastic experience with Hesson. If you're looking at this profile, chances are you don't necessarily care about the event my husband and I hosted... Here are some additional reasons why you will likely have a great experience if you book with Hesson, too: - They use an online planning system that makes suggestions for special songs, and allows you to enter the timeline for your entire event with the corresponding music & notes. - If they don't have the song, they will get it! My husband and I wanted to dance to an uncommon song for our first dance, and Michael tracked it down for us to dance to! In addition, my MIL had her heart set on this song from a youtube video for her mother/son dance... Michael effortlessly made this happen for her. The song was played during the dance, and you would have never guessed he captured the file from the online source. - This business is highly personalized and Michael cares about your wants and needs for the event. While Michael is located in Maryland, he took the time to meet with us in Arlington twice during our planning process (once in the beginning, and once two weeks out to confirm all of our details) - His packages are competitive, and it is so easy working with just one vendor for both lighting and DJ services. (Not to mention, for our wedding they were able to set up the lighting in a very tight timeframe!) - He has experiences working at many different venues at the DMV... Michael had previously worked an event at our venue and was familiar with the layout, load in/load out rules, and the general flow to their events. - Lastly, this is a fantastic small business. So many of the DJ companies in the DMV are so massive, and when researching I really felt like they had a lot of "bait & switch" activities going on. I also hated the pressure that some of the companies put on you to book right away. Michael has kept his business at a manageable size where he can still control the quality and the happiness of his customers. I also like that he provided his information, and encouraged us to go with him if we felt like he would be a fit for us and our event. I really respect his business model, and I definitely think it shows in the personalized service and experience his clients/brides & grooms experience during their events.
