Everything was amazing! Kyle absolutely killed it and I cannot begin to tell how much fun we had. So many people came up to me and the groom during the wedding to say how much fun they were having on the dancefloor. One of the biggest things my husband and I wanted for our wedding was to have a good time and party the entire reception and that's exactly what we got. Kyle did amazing - we gave him an idea of the vibe we wanted and a couple of song suggestions and he took that and went above and beyond. We gave him complete control to pick the music for cocktail hour and dinner and it was awesome. I could feel the fun energy during cocktail hour, even though I was getting pictures taken in another location. Hiring Mixing Maryland was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. They were not only amazing at what they do, but they were wonderful to work with. They even helped me figure out some timeline logistics with my coordinator because we wanted everything to flow smoothly and have maximum time on the dancefloor. We used Kyle at Mixing Maryland for our wedding, and he did a phenomenal job! The dance floor was never empty the entire night. Mixing Maryland was super professional, and very responsive when it came to communication. They were really easy to work with. They helped us with music for our cocktail hour, dinner, and reception. Kyle also helped set up microphones for our officiant, and for readings during our ceremony. We were able to do a few calls to run through logistics, do not play lists, and how we envisioned the night. Kyle was very accommodating, and awesome to work with. We used Kyle from Mixing Maryland for our ceremony sound and reception music. Kyle and Mixing Maryland were outstanding. Throughout the process, they were responsive to emails and requests. Just as we wished, our guests were on the dance floor from the first dance through the last call. If I could give six or even 10 stars here I would. Mixing Maryland was my wedding DJ this last weekend and people are STILL talking about the music. I knew that we had made the right decision when I looked over and Kyle, our DJ was wearing our glowsticks and having as much fun as we were. My husband and I live in LA and we see great DJ's all the time----- I'm not kidding, KYLE is up there with the DJ's I have seen in VEGAS. They handled my ceremony music, cocktail hour and reception and I had at LEAST 10 people come up to me to tell me that "this is the best music I have ever heard at a wedding." I was referred to Mixing Maryland originally by my Wedding Planner AND my photographer, which I think says a lot since they are at weddings every single weekend!!! I remember my photographer saying "If you want people up and dancing, you HAVE to hire this DJ" The second the reception music started people flew out of their seats and stayed on the dancefloor all night!!! Kyle even worked with me to mix my first dance song prior so that it would be exactly what I wanted. Kyle arranged 2 different phone calls to go over exactly what we wanted, didn't want, we went over the wedding party names so he would pronounce them correctly, etc. OH AND HE MIXES LIVE PEOPLE. Mixing Maryland DJ'd our wedding and they were amazing. From a logistics standpoint, we worked primarily with Ryan who was informative, prompt, and kind in answering all of our questions. Kyle was our actual DJ and he was great! He hopped on 2 prep calls with us, talked us through some of the transitions (e.g. Going from cake cutting to dinner to parent dances, etc), and created an amazing playlist for us. He took our list of a few songs we loved and also read the crowd to make sure people were dancing all night. Many of our guests commented on how good the music was. After meeting with Ryan to discuss what we were looking for in a DJ, we were totally convinced that Mixing Maryland was the best pick! We wanted a smooth reception but also a party that people talked about for a long time. Ryan suggested DJ Kyle and it could not have been a better pick. He was great with organizing my wedding party and keeping my husband and I informed about what was coming up on our schedule. He kept my Mom happy playing all her big band favorites during dinner as well as some of our favorites. When the time came to open up the dance floor Kyle was awesome! ok- If you are looking for the BEST DJ, who listens to you, is fun, easy to work with, prices are fair, and that will leave a positive impression on the people at your event...look no further. So, I recently got married and began the quest for a fabulous DJ. I did a lot of research before stumbling on the website for Mixing Maryland. I wish I would have found them sooner, it would have saved me a lot of time and energy. None-the-less, after researching for hours, I met with Ryan in regards to DJ-ing my big event. Let me just tell you this, I have NEVER seen a DJ bring so much energy to a room, and get an entire group pf people on the dance floor ( even people who never dance!) I always heard horror stories from brides who thought they had picked a great DJ, only to find that the DJ was awkward, didn't listen to them, talked to much, or just got in the way. Let me explain. As a bride - I was nervous about the timing of everything, everyone being happy, and having enough time to dance. Well, Ryan literally came to talk to me before the ceremony, got my bridesmaids together, was on point with the music. I did not have to think or worry about a thing. THAT IS HUGE! - Nailed the cocktail hour - told me when the bouquet toss was going to happen - let me do my thing -informed me when the cake cutting was - And got every single person on the dance floor!!! At one point, he was on the floor clapping and everyone chimed in. It could not have been more perfect. As a bride, the last thing you want to worry about the day of your wedding, is all the little details, even if you have an event planner. Food & Music are the two factors that either make or break your wedding. ( you don't have to agree with me, but for what it's worth, people are still talking about how fun our wedding was....and it always comes up in conversation. Ryan with Mixing Maryland was recommend to me by a friend. The first time we met with him I knew I wanted him to be our wedding DJ! We interviewed others just to make sure, but came back to Ryan. He was great through the process of planning and getting the music together for our wedding. But..... Our actual wedding was a big let down!! I was so excited to have him DJ our wedding, and thought wow this is going to be great. After our ceremony our exit song was supposed to play, but we had to stand there for a minute or so before music was played. Ok things happen! I was expecting him to get everyone up and dancing and get everyone excited...never happened. Any time I looked over at the DJ table he wasn't there, his assistant was, as well as 2 young teenagers!! Who they were I have no idea!!!!! Totally inappropriate to bring others with to a wedding without letting the bride or groom know. He didn't play the 2 slow songs my husband and I requested to have played. There was plenty of time to do so, since we decided not to do the apron dance. We told him that it would be ok to take requests from guest. We found out the next day our parents had requested their wedding songs to be played so they could dance and it never happened. He didn't play the right music for dancing and feel the night lost a lot from this. Over all we were very unhappy with the experience we received with this company. I have 2 friends getting married next year we were going to refer them to Mixing Maryland, but after our experience not going to happen. WE ARE SAD TO SAY WE DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! read more

Mixing Maryland was incredible to work with throughout the entire wedding process! We believed a DJ was one of the most important parts of the day, so we worked diligently to find a great one. We initially spoke to Ryan Deal. He spent a lot of time talking to us and answered a very long list of questions without hesitation. Ryan matched us with DJ Kyle and we could not be more pleased! Our first meeting with Kyle was a video chat. At the end of our hour-long conversation I knew we were going to have an amazing time! Kyle had great advice and suggestions whenever we were unsure of anything. He was very responsive to emails and flexible with last-minute changes. Kyle went above and beyond at the reception! The dance floor was packed from the minute dancing started to the very last song. More impressive than his ability to read and respond to the crowd was his live mixing skills! Our guests loved the unique style of DJing. Most importantly, Kyle was attentive and took charge when necessary. He quickly organized the wedding party before introductions in a professional manner. Mixing Maryland was an excellent choice as the DJ vendor for our wedding. Their coordinator, Hannah, responded almost immediately to any email I sent her with questions. And she was even proactive with sending insurance information to my venue (a requirement on the venue's contract) when I had to remind other vendors to do so. As our wedding got closer, Ryan informed me that Kyle would be DJing our wedding since we shared a similar taste in music. We had a few email exchanges with Kyle describing more specifically the music we would like played and he really knocked it out of the park on the big day! His timing with ceremony music transitioned smoothly from one song to the next. He even gave the groomsmen, bridesmaids, and myself the queue when it was each of our times to start marching down the aisle. He did a fantastic job emceeing and directing guests from the ceremony to cocktail hour to reception. He played every single song we requested. He even suggested that we not play our whole first dance song, and mother/son dance song, which I personally thought was a great idea because as a wedding guest I feel like this is the most boring thing to watch after the first minute anyway. Plus it took some of the pressure off of my groom and I since we aren't anywhere near Dancing with the Stars skilled. He was dressed professionally. He did have a DJ in training with him, but we didn't mind. AND the best part about it was he didn't play a single song on our do-not-play list. I've been to weddings where DJs give-in under pressure to guests requesting "do-not-play" songs.
