The wedding was outside, and they brought a bunch of ideas to the table on how to make the most of our rental from them. We rented 2 speakers and 2 subs, and a microphone. We were able to have a technician stay throughout the ceremony so we could use the same speakers for the ceremony and then seamlessly move them under the tent onto our dance floor with the two subs. We were also able to keep the equipment throughout the weekend for the Sunday brunch we had! With Angie's help, the planning was a breeze, the party was beautiful, and I was relaxed and could enjoy my family and guests. I met with Angie a couple of times before the event to finalize the plans. She developed several decorating and color themes for the decorations for me to choose from and even created beautiful hand-made invitations. She has great relationships with the vendors for tents, tables, chairs, and catering so we got great service and prices. (Zak at Roundz in Crofton gave us an amazing buffet that delighted everyone--including the vegetarians!) On the day of the parties, Angie showed up early to decorate the tables and make sure everything was set up. Angie designed the centerpieces, too. For the family reunion, she used hydrangeas from my garden with green and lavender table cloths. For the open house/birthday party on Sunday, she used huge sunflowers on the tables with yellow and blackstriped table cloths. To top it off, her baker decorated the cake with sunflowers! It looked beautiful under the tent in my yard. She even went to the store later to get more ice and drinks. My family and friends had a wonderful time. Angie is very professional and also easy going so I stayed calm (even with 50 people at my house!) I could tell she had EVERYTHING under control and I didn't have to worry about a thing. We were so delighted with Angie's help, we've asked her to be the cooridnator for my daughter's wedding next spring. At first we were thinking of not having a DJ and just using my MacBook Pro for music. However, due to the suggestion from the venue staff at Brookside Gardens to ensure good audio especially with our plans to be outside (though we ended up indoors due to the near freezing temperatures) we started interviewing DJs both from the venue's recommendations and on WeddingWire to see all they had to offer. We found Hercules Entertainment on WeddingWire and got to meet with Will on Zoom who showed us a presentation of all Hercules Entertainment had to offer. We chose Hercules not only because the prices were a good deal for great experience and enthusiasm, but also since in the uncertainty of COVID and the Omicron Variant, they would livestream our event for only a couple hundred dollars more. From the keyboard we rented from them for our aunt to play, to the excellent audio and amplification for the ceremony and reception, to the high quality live-streaming, to the DJing, to the MCing, everything made our day go even better than we could imagine. The livestream remains online and we are able to relive that day with it until our videography is ready. Dozens of friends, coworkers, and family who could not attend in person enjoyed watching the livestream which was of excellent quality. All 56 of us guests attending in person stayed for the reception and loved Will as a DJ and his wife who played numerous favorites including The Horah, The Humpty Dance, Cha Cha Slide, and my wife's favorite, Taylor Swift, who's hit Lover was featured during our first dance and Shake It Off during the bouquet toss. We totally recommend Will and Hercules Entertainment for your big event anywhere in the DC Metro Area.
