We had the stuffed hen breast, crab cake, mixed vegetables and roasted potatoes. The crab cake was dry and not seasoned served with cocktail sauce which was a no no! It would have been better with a lemon dill or hollandaise sauce. The stuffed hen was dry too and last season. Now I will say our event was delayed due to the weather which could cause food to be dry but the lack of season that was caused by not adding enough. The desserts were pretty good. I had a bite size chocolate mousse ball and small slice of strawberry shortcake, sorry no pictures of the desserts. Overall good experience.

Sarah had been the epitome of the heart and soul of customer service as I visited several times with the organizers of the gala. Her patience and knowledge was impeccable! She thoroughly answered all questions and made herself available when needed. As you walk up the curved steps there are several rooms including a beautiful chandelier room with a panoramic view. This room is perfect backdrop for elegant photos. There's ample space for an open or cash bar in the section to your left. Cocktail hour was fancied by high top tables and the most friendly staff members at the open bar area. The bathrooms were well decorated and maintained. Unfortunately, there was no heat which was surprising as this place screams of luxury. Also, this was one of the coldest days of the year. I think that food should be included as I was aware that the food at the gala had been catered by a private chef or restaurant. There is plenty of parking which is within a gated area.

The venue itself is a gem, a beautiful and elegant space. The maintenance leaves a lot to be desired. We hosted our event 12/5, the heat was not working in all areas, the chandelier rooms upstairs are beautiful but the walls could stand a cleaning or touchup paint job. They supplied a chaise for photos however it was stained. Personally, I caution anyone wanting to use this venue to read the contract and sit with management to review all sections as there are contradictory. Contract states we would have venue staff on the day of the event, however, we only had Daniel who monitored inside and one security officer who stayed in their vehicle the entire event. The rest was our guests, catering company staff, Our DJ and did I mention the freezing spaces Management stopped by for a quick introduction (first time meeting them though this rental is overpriced) during our event... Making comments like I wish these ppl would just hurry up and get the f out, or I bet you if I start snatching up tables they will get it. All before the actual end time is wildly unprofessional. So for me as a guest to notice, I can only imagine the host. It appears this establishment books events fairly close with no buffer between one event ending and another one needing to prep. I hope no one else has this experience because we love to support women owned and black owned businesses, but this isn't one I would recommend based on this encounter.

As soon as I pulled up to unload my car - I was offered help. The guy brought a dolley to my car so I could easily transport the decorations to the room. Con: I called to request early arrival to set-up two weeks in advance but was told no early set up are not allowed. Unless the person booking the room pays extra. The guy was very mean and had an attitude. I was just inquiring so I could plan to arrive early. Baby shower started at 3:30 so I only had one hour to unload my car, set-up, and blow up balloons. This isn't enough time to allow a person. I think your staff could rethink the policy to allow folks in early to set-up. And not charge an additional fee. Other than that one hiccup - the shower turned out nicely. And the day of the event, the staff was friendly and nice.

I chose this space for my baby shower because I loved the blank canvas aesthetic. At the time I was booking, they were running to specials, a $200 new customer discount and an end of the year special. The End of the Year special was a better deal, so I inquired with the owner if I could use that even though my event was in February. The owner declined (which was completely fine), but offered a $300 if I booked the same day after my tour...which I did. In hindsight, there were red flags I should have paid more attention to when booking. During the tour of the venue we saw a bug on the floor and the chairs looked dirty. I brushed it off as a one-time issue. Unfortunately, that just foreshadowed my experience that was to come. When we arrived at our contracted time of 9:00AM on the day of the shower, the venue smelled like bleach, yet was still dirty from the night before. My family spent a SIGNIFICANT amount of time cleaning tables and chairs before they could even start setting up. Several chairs were also damaged upon my family's arrival -- something the owner tried to blame on my family at the end of the event. We also experienced electrical issues with this venue. My DJ arrived around 12PM noon to begin her set up and we learned shortly after that all the outlets on one side of the venue did not work. After spending a large amount of time trying to troubleshoot, I had to call the owner TWICE to ask her to come troubleshoot. She arrived just before 1PM to start troubleshooting while guests were already arriving. This further delayed the start of my event. Although the venue advertises it can hold over 100 people, we had approximately 80 guests and the space felt very crowded and hot. At one point, my husband had to ask the owner -- who was sitting in her car outside the venue -- to turn off the heat completely because of how uncomfortable both myself and my guests were. This was in February on a day it was snowing -- it was so hot we did not want heat in the middle of winter. When we brought our concerns to the owners, they became argumentative and placed blame on us rather than taking accountability. She offered NO meaningful resolution. When I requested a $200 refund due to the multiple issues (less than one hour of the rental rate) the owner refused, said I shouldn't get anything since she already gave me a $300 discount when booking, and finally offered a mere $50. As a new business, customer service and accountability are critical. While the venue photographed beautifully, the lack of professionalism, cleanliness, and lack of support on the day of my event left a lasting negative impression.

The day of the wedding the site manager and his staff were extremely helpful. They were there at a moments notice for any request and made sure the place was in perfect running order. My guests have not stopped raving about how beautiful the location is and what a great time they had. If you want to get married in Prince George's County, not only do I suggest looking at Park & Planning's historic rental properties but I highly recommend Billingsley House as one of the best.
