Large room that guests hung around for appetizers before the dinner.

Recently I attended a beautiful wedding reception here. The atmosphere was very festive. There were separate rooms for the bar area, an appetizers room before the dinner and a beautiful dining room with large area for dancing. There were other rooms set up for dessert, a fun room set up with an instant picture booth; the garden area was beautiful with a fountain and in the evening the lights gave it a romantic feel. The staff was very attentive and the servers were also great here. I would definitely recommend this venue for your entertaining and parties. It was a very classy experience.

I went to an event here recently. We used the room with the atrium. It was really nice but even with the blinds it was hard to see the presentation. The water bottles we used said catering by uptown but i am unsure if it was them or the mansion or golf courses catering company. But the food was ok. Some of the cups had lipstick still on them. We had to ask for cream and a scoop for the ice. There are two stalls in the ladies bathroom so although they were in pretty good condition, look recently updated, it is not a lot for a large group of people. We were about 50. The grounds were pretty and you can watch people play golf from the room. The parking lot was a little walk away from the entrance in heels too.

I've shot two weddings at Newton White, and each time they have been incredible! They have a gorgeous venue with beautiful natural light and a perfect spot for outdoor ceremonies. My brides have always been very happy with their weddings here. - Carol Solorzano - Wedding Photographer - www.dcorzo.com

Thank God we had and awesome Corrininator.andDecorator that helped us and went above and beyond. The only person we saw the Security guard. They kept bringing up things that needed to be done at the last minute. I would not recommend this place to anyone. We had worst experience.

When my children 1st booked, after taking the money their representative Iris called and asked could we cancel or change our date because she realized she double booked for our wedding date. Who knew that would be the beginning of the venue being the biggest stress factor in planning the wedding. My kids dealt with 1 person (Iris the entire time) , they made all of the payments, paid for additional time to have the venue all day for decor and everything. All along the way they nickled and dimed them so bad but the week of the wedding "THEY SHOWED OUT." Iris was out sick and Bessa came on the scene, she was unfamiliar with many of the promises made by Iris, she was cold, nasty and was happily unwilling to accommodate us. During the week of the wedding Bessa, gave our planner the run around, wanted to provide linens of their choice vs what was agreed upon, demanded a $1500 security deposit that Iris never mentioned, and demanded that it be paid in person instead of over the phone considering that they inconvenienced us so much already. Many of the demands being made also came threats to cancel the event THE WEEK OF THE WEDDING. I was so hurt to hear that they were giving my kids such a hard time after they paid so much money to have the wedding there so I joined the last minute call they scheduled and it was evident that the money being paid was welcome but we weren't. On the wedding day, they stated everything in the full kitchen was plugged in. It indeed was not a full kitchen, they have a warmer not an oven and it wasnt plugged in which caused all of the guests to be served late 9 pm to be exact because they had a hard time heating the food. They promised a bathroom attendant, there was no bathroom attendant present, the bathroom was smelly and the only paper towels they had was a giant toilet paper roll tossed on the counter. There was a miscellaneous woman present just walking around looking at people, sitting behind the DJ booth and everything. We could feel that we weren't welcome. When my daughter who i 5ft threw the bouquet it got caught in tapped the chandelier before falling behind her for her friends to catch...well the next day they called and said they would not return the security deposit because of the chandelier. I cant imagine how many people they rip off by stealing security deposits from the bride tossing the bouquets and tapping that low hanging chandelier. My kids told them they were near by and wanted to see the damages they were claiming, they said they could come but when they got there they refused to let them in the gate, told them through the microphone outside that they would send photos of the damage and that they had to make an appointment. Zooming in on photos from the rest of the night that chandelier is in tact and they definitely stole the security deposit. My kids went on their honeymoon and they still haven't sent images of the so called damages and never did return the security deposit. I really do not believe that they treat all of their customers this way it genuinely feels like they just treat their black customers any kind of way. If i could give them zero stars I would. Dont get drawn into it being pretty, its beautiful but spend your money where you will be treated with care and respect.
