I would 100% recommend him and will be using his services again. 5/5! 10/10! 100/100!

My husband and I got married in Sept 2017 and Chris was our DJ. I am super late doing this review,…read morebut Chris absolutely rocked our wedding and we are still thinking about it over a year later!! I'm not exaggerating when I say family and friends still talk about how awesome he was and how much fun they had. Another DJ who was booked for our date actually recommended Chris and I immediately recognized his name from the radio thinking there was no way we could afford this famous DJ. He was super affordable and the packages he offered were comparable to others in the area. We met with Chris in person to go over the event and he was so sweet - we clearly didn't know what we wanted and he was super patient. Chris even gave us some sample timelines of other couples so we had something to copy. Our wedding was at Turf Valley and Chris was familiar with the venue, so he had some really good suggestions - he actually was the reason we extended the reception an extra hour, which we are so glad we did! Chris had 2 conference calls with us where we went through some key songs (father/daughter, first dance, etc.), but we just let him take the reigns on everything else and he absolutely KILLED IT! We used Chris before he had the photo booth and other services, but I'm sure those are top notch as well. I would (and do) recommend Chris to everyone! Anyone getting married or planning another type of party knows how stressful it can be and I didn't have to worry one bit about the music, Chris had it handled and made our day perfect.

Chris did an amazing job mixing in the songs we wanted along with reading the room and keeping the energy high. He even mixed in some amazing remixes and really blended songs together well. In the weeks after the wedding we have had friends and family still talking about how great the music was and how much they danced! We had high expectations from the glowing reviews and he absolutely blew them away. Chris also was a phenomenal MC. It was clear he had an organized process and seamlessly executed some special announcements as well. We would recommend Chris to anyone looking for a wedding DJ 10/10 times. He was extremely professional to work with and made us feel comfortable about the entire process. Hiring Chris Styles was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!!

There are two main reasons why I plan to stay married to my wife for the rest of my life…read more 1. I love my wife. I'm stupid lucky to have her in my life as the mother of my child and I wake up everyday thankful to have her in my life 2. I never want to plan a wedding again. I would rather get dental surgery while waiting for my number to be called in the DMV with no Internet or cell signal. It's not for me. #2 is the reason why I LOVED having Tristan Nery and Modem Music Box by my side. He took the time to meet with me and my wife over a complimentary consultation that felt more like a casual conversation with a close friend than a formality or a component of a transaction. Tristan took the time to understand the symbolism and meaning behind why certain songs had to be played at certain times of the evening and why specific tracks must not be played. He organized everything music wise so I wouldn't have to do it. On the day of the wedding, Tristan and his staff were punctual and prompt when setting up at our venue in Tyson's Corner. The sound itself from their top of the live equipment was nice with just the right amount of bass. He remembered my mom's favorite song and even took the time to help create a very memorable and meaningful photo. Outside of the Lechon and Ben & Jerry's ice cream caterer, hiring Tristan and Modern Music Box was the second best decision I made that week...Second only to marrying the woman who couldn't stop dancing to his carefully crafted set.

As a bride, you already have so many things to be worried about on your wedding day, but everything went so smoothly with Modern Music Box! I am extremely thankful for that. We highly recommend Modern Music Box for your next event!

Additionally, Hesson was flexible when we needed to reschedule our wedding (twice) due to COVID. The client portal they use is a little unwieldy, but easy enough once you get the hang of it.
