    Santa Fe wrap
    Karina R.

Chopt - Consistently Fresh & Convenient Chopt has been my go-to salad spot for well over a decade. I still remember their 17th Street location back in 2010 when I first tried the Santa Fe salad (or wrap) with that smoky chipotle dressing hooked ever since. I have tried their salad whenever I don't want to order the wrap. Let me just say Chopt has a variety to pick and customize from their menu. The wrap isn't heavy and sit right but making you feel full at all. Chopt as well has drinks and some snacks to accompany either your salad or wrap. These days, the 33rd Street outpost under the Empire State Building is my regular stop. Super convenient location and they've kept the same quality over the years. The space is roomy with plenty of seating and bathed in natural light. There are two ways in: a sidewalk entrance and another directly from inside the Empire State Building. I usually order ahead for pickup to skip the midday chaos. Between 12-2 pm the lines get wild, so if you already know your go-to order, mobile pickup is the move. Fast, consistent, and never disappoints Chopt continues to be a reliable salad staple.

Have ordered from here a few times from the app, and the special directions have never been followed. One time, one of the ingredients was also missing.

Soggy, cold, tasteless panko chicken mixed with tasteless cold bacon and not so sweet corn. $18 later and yuck!

Convenient spot to pick up a quick and balanced lunch! I got the Mediterranean bowl and it was alright, probably wouldn't get it again just because I felt it was a bit too sour for my liking. The worker accidentally gave me rice instead of cauliflower rice but she realized her mistake and quickly remade the bowl for me. She gave me the wrong one she made for free on top of that so I walked away with 2 bowls for the price of 1! Really appreciated that and love when service is considerate of not wasting food even if it may go "against" policy. Their ingredients tasted fresh and it's a solid spot for an average priced lunch in the city.

Went here for lunch in between work meetings and was disappointed as they got my order wrong so I couldn't eat it. I ordered the Chinese chicken. I told the guy cauliflower rice which they put on my order sheet. The guy making my bowl asked again and I told him cauliflower rice. Upon returning to the office I realized they gave me brown rice instead. I'm not eating carbs at the moment ( reason I went there to begin with) so had to end up tossing the entire thing

This restaurant was very clean inside and organized. I ordered online and my food was ready by my estimated pick up time. So many amazing toppings to choose from and so glad that they have vegan dressings. The ratio of some of the veggies and the protein to the lettuce was a little off than, but the salad was huge. It could almost be two meals worth of food with how much is in here. I enjoyed this and would come back in the future.

The bowl is pretty good and fresh, my only complaint is that the warm grains are mostly all rice as opposed to all the photos of the bowls consisting of mostly quinoa. As a person who prefers quinoa, I would've just stuck with the cauliflower rice if I'd have known.

When I came in to Chopt I was unsure of what salad to get. There was one worker in particular who's name was Michael. Who went above and beyond for me. Michael was very helpful and friendly. I told him to surprise me with a salad that was good. He gave me some options and asked me for my likes and dislikes in terms of vegetables and other things to put in the salad. When I got home and tried it I was very impressed. I gave some to my mom to try. Which to my surprise she really liked it. I recommended her to go to Chopt to get a salad. I definitely will be back to Chopt again! Thanks Michael.

I was intrigued by the street food concept but ultimately could not resist the tempting offer of salads, warm bowls, and fresh ingredients - especially at lunchtime. I ordered the Chinese Chicken Bowl (warm grains drizzled with Sesame Ginger Dressing and topped with warm roasted chicken, pickled red onion, rainbow carrots, broccoli, crispy wontons, cabbage & cilantro blend). It was a beautiful sight to see my meal come to life, a vibrant and vital combination of colors and nutrients. Who would not want to eat good and do good, supporting local partners/farmers? The restaurant was casual and quiet, with only two employees at the front, managing the orders and completing transactions. There were photographs depicting their commitment to freshness and sustainable sourcing of ingredients. My meal was so light yet filling. I wished my bowl was a tad warmer because the greens were super cold so there was a temperature imbalance. In order to get most of the ingredients on your fork in every bite, you have to dig deep. Otherwise, you'll navigate through the colder items first then the rice and protein undermining the overall goal that "salad isn't the start of the meal, it's the whole meal." Otherwise, Chopt is a great alternative to traditional salads and warm bowls. I look forward to trying other combinations like the Harvest Bowl (warm grains drizzled with Creamy Lemon-Herb Dressing and topped with warm roasted chicken, roasted Brussels sprouts & sweet potatoes, marinated kale, toasted pumpkin seeds) as well as the NYC Street Cart Salad (chicken shawarma, roasted tomatoes, cauliflower quinoa tabbouleh, English cucumbers, pita chips, romaine, cabbage & cilantro blend).

    "Greek salad"
    Melissa D.

Stopped in to try something new & Chopt had a good rating on Yelp, so why not. I was there during the lunch rush so take that into consideration. Ordered a Greek salad- I'm not sure that's actually what I got. Honestly this doesn't taste a thing like a Greek salad. I wanted to ask them if my order was right but everyone was rushing to get people through the line that I couldn't really get a word in when I checked out. I gave up and left with what they gave me due to time constraints.

So glad Chop't has taken over the old Europa location. I came in for a late lunch around 2:30pm and it was empty. The place was clean, bright and the menu was easy to read on the board. I opted for a typical Cobb salad and tried their Greek tzazicki dressing. The dressing needed a little more flavor, salt. The salad was pretty big and the price was decent. I will definitely come back here again. If you sign up for their app you can get rewards and etc .

A Hidden Gem That Completely Changed My Perspective on Vegan Food…read more Yesterday was my first visit to Le Botaniste, and I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. The storefront and fresh drinks first caught my attention, so I thought it was mostly a juice or beverage spot. The moment I walked inside, I realized it was so much more. The restaurant has a warm, inviting atmosphere, and everything looked incredibly fresh. You can immediately tell they take pride in the quality of their food. The highlight of our visit was the exceptional customer service from Alan. He welcomed us with a smile, took the time to explain the menu, answered all of our questions, and gave us recommendations based on what we were looking for. His knowledge and enthusiasm made choosing our meals easy. Alan recommended their most popular bowl, the Pasta Bolognese, and mentioned it was also his personal favorite. After just one bite, I understood why. It was rich, hearty, full of flavor, and if no one had told me it was vegan, I never would have guessed. It has officially become one of my favorite plant-based meals. For my mother, Alan recommended the seasonal Mediterranean Bowl, and it was another excellent choice. I asked her if she enjoyed it, and her response was simple: "Yes... and I want more." That pretty much says it all. The drinks were also fresh, refreshing, and paired perfectly with our meals. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with anything on their drink menu. Even if you're not vegan, don't let that stop you from trying this place. Le Botaniste proves that plant-based food can be comforting, satisfying, and packed with incredible flavor. A huge thank you to Alan for making our first visit such a memorable one. Great food is important, but great hospitality makes people want to come back. Needless to say, I'll definitely be back to work my way through the rest of the menu.

The bright and beautiful neo-Victorian vibes complement the visually appealing displays of food and decor that recall a 19th century apothecary. With locations around NYC, as well as in Belgium where it all started, La Botaniste serves up "100% organic plant-based food." The bowls are pretty substantive and they have lighter starters/sides too for those who just want to dabble. You can choose one of their signature bowls (the Tibetan Mama, with its satisfying curry base, comes highly recommended), or build your own from a lineup of bases, sauces, toppings, dressings and garnishes. The food tastes fresh and clean, and I include this place in my rotation of healthy quick salad/bowl/vegetarian meal options in the neighborhood. I love that they have raw vegan treats, an increasingly rare find since several of my favorite raw vegan spots in the city closed down over the years. I'll admit I was first lured in by the antiquey aesthetic and the colorful vintage florals, but the food and environment are both very pleasurable.

Burger ($20) with a gluten-free bun ($2). For the breakfast, the portobello mushrooms were the highlight of the dish. They were very juicy and had strong umami flavor! I love spinach even plain, but I think it could have used a touch more seasoning. The tofu scramble was seasoned, but it could either use more seasoning or more moisture. The corn muffins were dry and crumbly, definitely the worst part of the dish. My friend said that the sauce brought the burger together and hid the fact that it's a Beyond burger. She also mentioned that she didn't feel heavy after eating the burger, which was nice. Despite us telling the restaurant that we had to go to a musical, service was on the slower side. My friend also had to try several times to get to the bathroom, since someone was always inside. However, the staff was friendly and made us feel welcome. I would only recommend P.S. Sentir is 100% vegan, and I would confidently bring even my carnivore friends here without hesitation. If nobody told you it was vegan, you'd simply think you were eating some of the most creative, flavorful Mexican food you've ever had. It's that good. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can tell this isn't just another restaurant. The atmosphere is warm, stylish, and inviting without feeling pretentious. Every member of the staff was incredibly kind (thanks Camila who served us both days!), knowledgeable, and genuinely excited to talk about the menu and the other restaurants in the group. Their passion for what they do shines through in every interaction. The food completely exceeded every expectation we had. Every dish was beautifully presented, packed with bold flavors, and unlike anything we've had before. We found ourselves talking about every bite and immediately discussing what we'd come back to try... which ended up being less than 24 hours later. We were so excited by the food on our first visit that we completely forgot to take pictures! (It became a complete afterthought because we had already scarfed everything down. ) Thankfully, we redeemed ourselves on day two! The cocktails also deserve their own standing ovation. They're creative, beautifully crafted, and every bit as memorable as the food. If you're looking for a restaurant where every detail has clearly been thoughtfully considered from the atmosphere and service to the food and drinks, Sentir absolutely delivers. We travel to NYC often and almost never eat at the same restaurant twice because there are so many amazing places to try. The fact that we chose to come back the very next day says everything you need to know. Sentir has officially earned a permanent spot on our "must visit" list every time we're in that part of the city. What We Ate (and absolutely LOVED): Sentir Guac - Easily one of the freshest and most flavorful guacamoles we've ever had. It was served with chips and a deep fried tofu that was reminiscent of a "chicken skin" or something along those lines. I've never tried anything like it and it was good and unique! Carne Asada Tacos - Perfectly seasoned with amazing texture and incredible flavor. Al Pastor Chicken Tacos - Sweet, savory, smoky, and absolutely delicious. Cream of Corn - I wasn't expecting a bowl of corn to stand out the way it did. It was warm, comforting and cheesy. I just wish it came with something to dip with. Unfortunately too much was dripping through the fork and I wanted to savor it all! Chile Rellenos - Beautifully prepared with layers of flavor in every bite. It was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth! Tamal de Carne - Tender, comforting, and packed with incredible flavor. What We Drank: Sentir Michelada - One of the best my husband ever had. The chose Modelo as the beer Little Pitcher - This was a bunch drink. It had grapefruit & orange juice (among other things) but it was shockingly unique and dangerously easy to drink. Café con Ron - The perfect twist or play on an espresso martini but a million times better! Nutty Olivia - I believe this was on "special" and it was a mooth, creative, and another cocktail I'd order again in a heartbeat. It contains gin, which my husband doesn't like but he must have stolen at least 3 sips before I told him to worry about his own drink! Final thought: If a restaurant is good enough to make us skip trying somewhere new in New York City and instead return the very next day, that's about the highest compliment we can give. Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, or a lifelong meat eater, do yourself a favor go!!! I have a feeling you'll be planning your second visit before you even finish your first.

I started off with a hot tea since NYC was cold in February, and then decided to have as much as I could of two dishes---the "chicken" yakitori skewers and the Korean BBQ skillet. The skewers came in a set of two, with a white mayo-like sauce drizzle and pickled cucumber on the side. Super delectable, though very filling because of the protein! The skillet was made with classic Chunk Foods protein, the go-to plant-based option for all the meat dishes at City Roots restaurants as far as I know. This was incredibly filling, but the sauce and the texture were all around delicious as well. I could NOT bother to finish the brussels sprouts the skillet came with---way too much to stomach, and I was going to focus on the "meats" since I can always have brussels any other time! The bill by the end of it was PRICEY. That's why I only go to one of these restaurants as a special treat when I visit NYC. Watch out if you order hot tea...$13!! I guess that's the NYC way, but still!
