You've been chopped. Not for the food but the sub-par service and lack of management. I entered the place at around 1:30pm and I saw 3 people at the bar having lunch. The dining room had at most 6 patrons. I waited several minutes to see an employee who took my order for an iced green tea and a sandwich. Well, it took about five minutes to get the drink and after about twenty minutes later there was no sandwich. When the employee came out to serve another table she looked at my spot and noticed that my food wasn't there yet. A few minutes later I heard some yelling in the kitchen and my food mentioned. I got up and left. As other reviewers have mentioned, there seems to be no management. I see people going around with apparently no clue. This place has gone so downhill in quality. I have no idea what has happened there but the food isn't the same every time because sometimes they don't put in some of the vegetable ingredients. Tonight we ordered, and we have given them SO many chances but this time we didn't get the juice boxes that came with the kids meals and our meals were missing half the vegetables that are normally in there. Don't get me wrong... I love Chopstix but this time big time super hassle! Their GrubHub sucks! My hubby and I are sick and we ordered through YELP GRUBHUB! And the text notification said that the food is ready at 1:49pm and when we picked it up at 2:34pm IT WAS NOT READY!!!! They were checking the GRUBHUB app and it just popped up! It's decent. Amazing for the price. But you can get the same exact thing from their restaurant in Camel and it's 100 times better. The Carmel restaurant uses high quality rice and doesn't use fillers to make the meat go farther. Always have poor service here. My family likes to come here a lot because it's cheap, but you get what you pay for. The last time I was here I took my mom for a pre- birthday celebration. Our orders came out at different times, our tea was cold, and so was one of our entrees. We asked the server for hot tea and got cold tea, yet again. The place was an old Chinese restaurant in past that was resold many times. Now today it is a low end Vietnamese place with lots of room and low prices. The only problem is the Pho is very salty mixed with MSG. The some other ingredients tasted old. Young girl was allowed to sit in a booth in the front room, waiting for an employee. She had her feet all over the seat, wallowed on the table, played with her hair and did not look like she felt well because she huddled under a covering. When this particular location opened up, we really wanted to like it, given the need for a chainy- Asian restaurant that is not Panda Express, but after having tried three times, I have to abandon my fondest wishes and just warn you to avoid it. It's not well-run: the first time they failed to inform us they didn't take plastic (but do have a seriously overpriced ATM machine in the place, one of those where you end up spending $4 just to get your own money out) but then when I told them I didn't have cash, they tried to insist I owed them money (even though I had just put in the order). A visit to the restroom on this occasion was not, shall we say, suggestive that hygiene is their highest priority. The second time, I came with cash but failed to order ahead. It took a good 20 minutes of lingering to get the clerk's attention and get the order in; I'm not sure exactly what she was distracted by the most, the personal phone calls, the banter from the kitchen, or randomly going off to do other things, but that's the way it went. We then couldn't find a table, and had to take our cold food to-go. I can't tell you what it tasted like because by the time we got home it was so late and the food was so icy we ended up eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches instead. The third time, I came with cash and ordered ahead. I took the bags home, opened them up, and found a completely different order than the one I had made. When I attempted to return the order, they said that since I'd left with the order they wouldn't refund my money or give me replacement food. The biggest irony, although we asked, they kept forgetting to include chopsticks in the orders. This is an update on this restaurant. For my vegan and vegetarian friends, proceed with caution. Under the Vegetarian menu, the ONLY vegan dishes are soups (v1-v7). And the rest of the dishes are "vegetarian"? Though the rest all contain oyster sauce (v8-v16) because all the sauces are pre-bottled and contain the sauce. I'm not sure if that's vegetarian or not but do with that as you wish. Also the fried rice is pre-made with egg already in it so it cannot be made vegan by taking it out. Wonderful broth with lots of won tons, zucchini, cilantro, nappa cabbage and chicken thigh meat. Very good soup. Hubby had their BBQ Pork Chop with fried rice. The meat had good flavor and he liked it. The rice would have been better if it wasn't cold. Our waitress offered to reheat it or bring us a fresh side of rice, that was nice. They have a bigger menu that other noodle places, I like that and a huge drink menu, boba's, bubble, slushie and coffee drinks etc.... Over all it was good, good service too on a busy day. I was a regular customer here until today. I usually come in once or twice a week. Never again will I set foot in this place. I ordered a veggie pho because I don't eat animal products and it's important to me. Well I heard some chatter in the back about the veggie pho and it sounded like something was wrong with it. It took a while to come out so figured they remade it. Well I'm a little over halfway done eating my soup when I find a piece of meat. I instantly felt sick and just sad. I let the server know and she said "a piece probably just fell in". She had this "so what" kind of vibe, even though it was obvious I was upset.
