My husband and I enjoyed brunch at Chompies in Chandler. I had the Cabo Skillet and he ordered the Baja Omelet. Toasted Onion Bagel with Chive Cream cheese please! So good.

Stopped by here for the first time on Saturday afternoon in a group of 6. It wasn't too busy, we were sat right away. It did take quite awhile for our server to come around and ask what we would like to drink. Once the server came by for our drink order, he was very responsive and quick. I ordered the original Jewish sliders with a side of coleslaw. I enjoyed these a lot. The sliders were a good size and 2 was a perfect size. I would definitely order these again.

The setting is a large New York-style deli, including a giant display case of savory foods and baked goods the second you walk in the front door. The staff was friendly and seated us right away and our server was attentive and had a great personality. The food was served hot and the perfect 'comfort' dish. I had the Jewish Sliders and highly recommend! My dad is old school and misses liver and onions so we will be returning soon to let him enjoy this hard to find dish. If you haven't been, give it a shot!

Came recently for a quick dinner before heading to another event. Store wasn't busy and we were immediately sat at a booth. Our server, Allison, was attentive and friendly. We've eaten here so many times and typically have the same things! I ordered the full pastrami sandwich with coleslaw and wife had their Jewish sliders. And we splurged on the chocolate cake, which is our typical dessert here! You can't get a better chocolate fix...

The food was amazing! Huge portions, nobody could finish! The service was great! Fun decorations and vibe.

Unfortunately this place has really gone down hill in the quality of their food. I used to really enjoy their pastrami, but my wife and I dropped by today and both our dishes were just mediocre. My 1/2 pastrami on sourdough had no flavor and the bread was dry. My matzoball soup was OK, but not near as good as it used to be. My wife had the open face tuna melt and she not only didn't finish it, but said she wouldn't recommend it. On a more positive note, plenty of parking, not crowded and easy to get a table and the service was great; but you return to restaurants for the food and we not be going back very soon.

I was in Phoenix for a week and went 3 times! Each time I had a different server but each time , the service was great. That's how good the food is. And I love all the options.

I've been a fan of Chompies forever, but today's experience absolutely blew me away. I ordered their breakfast sliders (helloooo challah bread) and a black and white cookie via doordash and man alive was it good. The hashbrowns were crispy and delicious and the sliders! My lanta. I could only eat one lol but I'm definitely saving the other for later. The challah bread was fluffy and lovely, while the sausage, egg, and cheese provided the savory aspect. The black and white cookie was GINORMOUS lol and will definitely take some nibbling over time. This was such a a great experience, and I wholeheartedly recommend checking this place out.

Arrived and waited a little bit to be seated even though the restaurant was near empty. Tried the Salad Sampler, a new menu item that can be shared or works as an entree as well. The food is presented on a board and includes one scoop of chicken salad, tuna salad and egg salad with a bagel, cucumbers, tomatoes and red onion. Delicious and very satisfying. Love Chompie's everything bagels! The place has a great NY decor and vibe. Recommend!

So, I am a Reuben fan! It is literally my favorite sandwich. If it is on the menu I am trying it. Still not New York but this sandwich is excellent. It is a little pricy as I eat Reuben's all around the country. But the large portion size of thinly sliced corned beef, sauerkraut, and thousand island dressing, melted in my mouth. Their Rye bread tastes bakery fresh. The combination had my feet swinging for joy. The service was fast and efficient for the lunch crowd. We enjoyed are meal and everyone was satisfied. Great job on making such a wonderful meal!

Gluten-free chorizo con queso omelet with fruit and gluten-free bagel. $16.28 December 2024

My husband wanted to try this place and I was prepared to only have a drink as someone with celiac disease. Apparently Chompie's used to have a gluten-free menu but no longer have a separate menu nor do they have a marked menu. Unfortunately the website doesn't reflect this information and still displays a "gluten-free friendly" page with information about accessing their gluten-free menu. Today their website reads: "You'll find the scrumptious gluten-free goodies you've been craving on our restaurant menu and at our bakery counter. Our gluten-friendly menu was created with gluten allergies and gluten sensitivity in mind. Browse our Menu for gluten-free friendly menu items as well as selections on our Kids' Menu. You may also order gluten-friendly items from our online store." The waiter told me that although they don't have a gluten-free menu anymore, the omelets are just cracked eggs with no additives like other famous breakfast chains. He said they could make an omelets gluten-free as long as my side was fruit because the potatoes are t celiac-safe. I had the $16.28 chorizo con queso omelet with a side of fruit and a gluten-free bagel. I asked that they neither toast it nor cut it to prevent cross contamination. They brought me a serrated knife to cut it myself. My husband had a not gluten-free pastrami sandwich for $15.99 and he liked it. Overall, my meal was fine but I wouldn't come here as a celiac by myself. There's just way too much gluten that could potentially cross-contaminate the meal. As an aside, one thing that bothered me that wasn't food related was that their male busser was listening to music and then having a facetime conversation with a woman with his phone tucked into his hat. I don't care if staff listens to music provided they're using headphones. Nobody wants to hear a facetime conversation or someone's music on a cell phone in public. Visited: December 2024

So many of the baked goods here are very good. And you can go in and just buy from the bakery. On the restaurant side we also had exceptional service. The food was good, but not amazing. Portions on the smaller side and prices on the higher side make it hard to race about.

All freshly made in this little café, which is small but charming there is an outdoor patio with like four tables , but it's far too hot this summer to eat out there. For sure I'll be back in the fall out there with Luna enjoying this wonderful café. I was there with my daughter and what caught her eye was the muffaletta sandwich. A classic I couldn't get past the menu, grilled cheese sandwich, options, and asked the owner what was her favorite and recommendation. She immediately said the grilled cheese with birria and I think a Gouda cheese. We grabbed one of the booths and the sandwiches were out shortly. OMG, they both were unbelievable, but I had trouble keeping my daughter's hand off my plate. Honestly, this is one of the best grilled cheese I've ever had. And I consider myself a grilled cheese aficionado. Mingle & Graze is in a central downtown Chandler location, lots of parking out front. Love these little non-chain cafés with great homemade food that's different and original. I was super stoked to check a place with "retro" in the name out, and I gotta be honest here, I left with pretty mixed emotions about a lot of things. The restaurant itself is pretty boring inside, mostly just being black with a few small pictures hanging up. I was kind of expecting big retro movie posters or something hanging around, but I definitely didn't get much of a retro vibe from this place minus a small neon "bar" sign and a claw machine in the corner. The menus were very cool, right by the front door its a record shelf and the records were the menus, so thumbs up for that idea. I thought i was mistaken, but I don't remember seeing sandwich prices on the actual menu, but as I look at other photos on yelp it does appear that the sandwiches don't have prices attached to them, which explains why I was thrown off by the end price. I settled on ordering the "take on me" which was black forest ham, roasted turkey, hickory smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce, and mayo on a Hawaiian style roll. I also ordered a sprite and a chocolate chip cookie as a side. The chocolate chip cookie was okay, pretty standard cookie though definitely not worth $3.75. The sprite was $2.99, and the sandwich came to $15.58. I was also charged $0.96 for something called the advantage program which I have no idea what that is. I gotta say, spending over $25 on a sandwich, a small cookie, and a drink is not something I would care to do at a place like this. The sandwich itself was very good, I won't deny that. The meat tasted fresh, and when it was all together it was definitely a good sandwich, but when there's not combo option and a basic sandwich, cookie, and drink ends up being $25 it's gonna be a no from me on returning in the future. Overall, I really wanted to love this place for the name, but the lack of much decorations and prices left something to be desired. The food itself was good, but not worth what was spent.
