The menu is overwhelming and the sides are designed so that you have to order an extra. For example. Try to order a two egg breakfast with hash browns and one pancake.... nope. The waitress was extremely rude and said "nobody orders it that way so we don't serve it that way". I asked if she could sub the bread for it and she says that's going to be a "significant upcharge". This morning we waited for them to open and this guy waltzes in with his dog off leash and and they both take a seat in the booth. This was NOT a service animal, no service vest, no leash, trained service dogs lay on the floor. Since when is it bring your dog to breakfast day. We've eaten here twice: once in-house when they first opened and once stopped in to order take-out a couple weeks ago. Sorry to say, we weren't impressed. Both times we were served by the owner, and both times she was totally nice to us but terribly mean to her kitchen staff in open view of the customers. I worked in restaurants, so I'm super sensitive to what's going on peripherally, but even my fiancé noticed it and said something (who never notices stuff like this) so I know it wasn't just me. Food was okay in-house (biscuits and gravy and chicken fried steak), but takeout was no good (fish and chips and biscuits and gravy). Fish and chips were super greasy and overdone with sad freezer fries and the B&G was completely different, with the gravy being far more smokey and peppery than the first time in-- and not in a good way, it was like someone accidentally doubled or tripled the spices. We had high hopes for this place as it's literally two minutes from our house. Maybe we will try again in a few months. read more

We had high expectations based on the reviews. The decor is very charming. We came around 830 on a Tuesday and there was no wait. Waiter was prompt with water and coffee. My fiancé ordered the breakfast of Chompions, eggs OVER HARD. He received runny eggs and only got 2 even though the menu says 3. We stopped another server as ours was nowhere to be found and informed him of the issue. His response was he would let our server know. It took a ridiculously long time for our waiter to come over and when the new eggs were brought over they were cooked exactly the same and again, only 2. They also forgot the toast that comes with the meal. Servers need to check the accuracy of the orders before serving to customers. Major let down... read more

We heard a lot about this place, so we decided to give it a try. When got there, the line wasn't too bad, two parties ahead of us. We were told the wait would be ten minutes. 20 minutes later, we were seated. Our party included my wife and I and two other single people who asked for separate checks, three in all. The server, after about 10 more minutes, took our order. Nearly a half hour later, we were still waiting, noticing others around us were getting their food even though they had been seated and ordered after us. Okay, no big deal, they're busy. We finally asked a passing hostess if our food was ready and she said she'd check. She came back with it immediately. As it turns out, it had probably been sitting there for some time, because most of it was cold. One of the singles with us sent theirs back to be reheated. The other found the fries accompanying the hamburger to be hard, and not very good, and told the server. Mine was fine, as it was only pancakes, eggs and bacon, difficult to mess up, but the eggs were cold. Apparently, complaints about the food, which I thought were civil and justified, upset the server, because we almost never saw her again after that. We were offered no more coffee, and the rest of our party got up to leave while I sat there waiting to pay the bill- which our server had placed on one bill rather than the three we asked for. Almost another ten minutes passed with me sitting there holding the bill and my card in plain view of anyone who passed by. Finally, a server from another section asked if she could run it for me. I understand every place has bad days, so I won't judge it entirely on one experience and I'd be willing to,give it another shot. But if this day was representative of what to expect, I'd say they have some work to do. read more

This is a new restaurant that opened up a few months ago, apparently. We were in town visiting and decided to give it a try based off the positive reviews. It was packed on a Sunday morning, but we were able to snag a table in the outdoor section. There was a little garden area in front of the barn where old cattle watering buckets were filled with various herbs, fruits and veggies. This was fun for the kids and adults to look at and it gave a wonderful nature-ish vibe to our breakfast atmosphere. Breakfast was a tad slow coming, but the food was worth the wait! Everyone enjoyed their order and there were kids to adults to seniors in our group. The prices are moderate, a little more expensive than an average breakfast joint but, all in all, this is a great place to bring out of town guests and I definitely recommend it for breakfast at least. read more

This is our favorite breakfast place! The service is top notch. The food choices are perfect. The serving sizes are large.

Rude staff from the beginning of our visit. We ordered two cinnamon rolls at our table and both came out cold. After about 10 minutes a were finally able to wave down our waitress. We told her about the cold cinnamon rolls and she quickly grabbed one (one of the two) and had it reheated. After dropping off the reheated rolls she quickly ran away without grabbing the second plate or asking if we needed anything else. The prices are in the higher side and to not have an enjoyable experience with rude staff will make this a one try place. read more

Went there for breakfast. We ordered a cinnamon roll with our meal. The waitress asked us if we wanted it before our meal and we told her, yes. It never arrived. When we asked about the rolls the waitress said, oh yeah, I forgot. She said she would bring them out but we told her we wanted it before our meal. No apologies, no nothing. You could tell she didn't care about her job. The rest of the service was slow and they were not that busy. My wife's eggs were weird. Looked like they were made of rubber. She couldn't finish them. My omlet was okay, but just, okay. And then to top it off, the dirty dishes were stacked up right behind, and I mean right behind our booth. So every few minutes the staff would stack and slam the dishes. It was very distracting and unprofessional. Also, there were a lot of flies in the restaurant, kind of gross. Not impressed at all. My wife and I heard good things about the Chopper cafe from friends and the internet. Today we decided to give it a try. First there's the biscuits and gravy. I don't know if I can even call them biscuts. They were flat and bland with crispy edges. Not fluffy or flakey. The gravy tasted different and the fat was separating from it making for a weird texture. The bacon might as well have been from dennys. Thin and lacking in flavor. Hash browns were standard like you find anywhere. Same with my eggs. My wife wasn't a fan of her chicken club. Was not put together with care and the breast was a bit thick for the roll. They really try to give the resturant a home lile feel but it comes off sterile and feels staged and fake. We were bummed because we live close and had hi hopes. What a shame. Came here Saturday morning, only took a few minutes to get a seat. Our boys both loved their breakfasts and my husband and I as well. Between all of us we had the Belgian waffles, hash browns, cinnamon roll, Stoddard scramble and biscuits and gravy. The food was really fresh and tasty. We've driven by this restaurant many times and thought it looked really cozy and thought we'd give it a try. We live almost 8 miles away so it was a little out of the way. We ate their at around 9:15 am which I guess is one of their busy times. The place was packed to we didn't expect to be in and out of there which we weren't. The server was friendly and efficient. The restaurant has on open floor plan which unfortunately and the reason we won't be back makes for a very noisy eating experience, at least when it is packed. The food was good but I've have bigger portions at other restaurants. Again tasty food. Cozy but noisy. read more

We stopped for breakfast on our road trip. Came in just before 9am on a Sunday and sat at the counter. At this time seats were available, but by 9:30 there was a wait. Our family enjoyed the corned beef hash, Chomper's special, a "pig" and "duck" kids' breakfasts. Food was good, service was fast, atmosphere was great. The homemade strawberry jam was everything everyone has claimed it to be! Particularly loved that the corned beef wasn't chopped into small, dry chunks. Delicious! read more

Overall a pretty good experience. Started off rough though. We walked in and we're greeted by no one. There was a plethora of tattooed waitresses who just ignored us. No hello, no time estimate on a wait. No let me get you a coffee while you wait. One was behind the counter eating a sandwhich, one was behind the counter downing a Redbull type drink, even the cook was eating on line. It was pretty annoying and the wife asked if we should go somewhere else. But by the time you get in the car and to another place why bother. Finally we were seated. We had a male server who was great. The food came out pretty quick and was really good. Wife had the veggie Benny I had the Benny which was basically biscuits and gravy. Really good sausage gravy. Today was my first visit and the second for my friend that was with me. I had high hopes because it is cute on the outside. When I walked in my first thought was "is this all the seating"?. They have a small counter space. The place is decorated a little country style but the music definitely is not. They were playing what we use to call "Acid Rock". And playing it very loud. (Very out of place in this restaurant) We mentioned that to the server but he didn't seem to care one way or another. We split a sandwich with a cup of soup. The soup was suppose to be Chicken dumplin. It was so thick you could eat it with a fork. Not what we were hoping for. We asked if you could order a half of a sandwich as a whole sandwich was too much for us to eat but they said no so we shared a sandwich. I believe it was over priced for just a hamburger or sandwich.. and the soup was...well...not soup. This was my friends 2nd visit and she said her first visit was bad but thought she would give it a second try. Apparently it will be our last. Too bad, it is a cute place. Visited here based on great reviews. The food did not disappoint, loved the waffle with maple syrup and the homemade strawberry jam is awesome, so much so that my daughter had a little toast with her jam. She also ordered the chili cheese omelette which she thoroughly enjoyed, said the chili was quite tasty. I had a half of sour dough grilled cheese and it was sooo good! Didn't care much for the accompanying fries as the seasonings were a bit much. My hubby had the pancake special with link sausages. The pancakes were quite huge. The service is quick however they don't smile much and I'm wondering if it's due to how busy they are. This won't deter me from returning and the drive from Spokane is well worth it read more

We ate here for Mother's Day. The wait wasn't to bad for how many people were there. And while you wait for a table there is an airpot of coffee sitting there for you. The waitress was amazing. Now for the food. It was AMAZING!! It is now our favorite local restaurant! We loved that we could replace our eggs with farm fresh ones. My mom hates that places with French Toast don't add spices to the egg coating for the bread. She took one bite and was happy she could taste the nutmeg. We loved we could eat outside. Finally decided to try it after months of watching it get built, then always looking busy we went for it. Far as building and venue absolutely stunning well taken care of was a wedding being prepared while we ate. The dinning area is so neat and original with creative wall art to a kid area with their own kitchen. That alone was worth it my kids are young and energetic so this was great for them to play. Menu very well done great selection of items fair prices. Onto the food it was very well prepared and seemed like all homemade everything and possibly organic but unsure was that good.
