The hubby and I were visiting friends in Hayden and upon leaving, we found this cute little place. It's clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and thee food was delicous. Coffee was really good and they kept it coming! I had the pancakes with huckleberries without the whipped cream and they were crispy and yummy. The hubby liked the strawberry sauce on the table. The only negative was the weak Wi-Fi signal, but they are working on it. Would definitely recommend coming to this place. read more

Delish!! So good. Had a simple bacon omelette with chomped fries and toast, they have homemade strawberry jam for you toast that you need to use. Also shared the cinnamon roll trio, the cinnamon rolls are huge, we took most of that home but the pecan was amazing and the cream cheese frosting on the original was perfect. My wife and I have eaten here many times before. Unfortunately, this morning when served our meal, our waitress dropped off our food and left in a yawning demeanor. We needed coffee and jam. Several minutes later we flagged her down. Upon requesting coffee and jam our waitress responded disgusted. My wife ask her if her cornbread looking bread was supposed to be biscuits. The waitress gave her an obnoxious stare and replied, "Yeah." I tried to break the ice by talking about the dry lightening supposedly to occurred today. Her response was rude and down right in a blatantly unpleasant mannerism. Why someone would treat customers in such an atrocious way is unethical, demeaning, and damaging to this business. Our waiter was awesome, thank goodness. My wife now refuses to return. read more

Had lunch with my family inside the restaurant for lunch and it was so Freakin LOUD in there that we could not even have a conversation. Employees tossing dishes around they crashed into tubs; the music was vety loud and the employees who were in the next room, in the kitchen, could be heard talking loudly above the loud music that I thought I was sitting in the kitchen! The whole experience made me wish I could have sat outside but it was too hot and there is no shade at the outdoor tables. I gave two stars because the food was good and that was the only thing. Food was good and would give 4 stars on food alone. I'm giving 2 because of the service, which was awful, and they weren't that busy. Our waitress ( I think her name was Rainbow) took our order and didn't come back until it was time to give us the check. And we had to wait a long time for that. Another girl had already bussed our table and the waitress looked over at us several times sitting at our cleared off table and continued to go to every other table but ours. When she finally brought the ticket we had to wait even longer for her to come back around and get the money since she was the cashier too. I guess you get better service and a smile if you're a local. read more

This is sad because I usually love Chomper. This Saturday morning I came in with a friend for breakfast. Since they were busy, they had complimentary coffee outside for those waiting - very nice! However, when we were seated the waitress took our orders quickly, but didn't bring coffee (which I asked for and was charged for). Our meals were brought, and still no coffee. The food was great, as usual, but our very tall, beautiful server, R, never stopped back to check in. And I mean until she gave me the check! Not a word, not a look! We finally asked the little red-headed gal for coffee and she said "Oh, sure," and then didn't get it for us. A few minutes later we asked the busboy for coffee and he took my paper cup (the one from outside) and filled it for me. Well, at least it was coffee. When R handed us the check there was no inquiries about the food, or the need for boxes. I picked up our own boxes from the service cart. We paid and left very disappointed in the service! So, the 2 stars are for only the great food. read more

Being they are New, Yes just their second day Open. Great food, The House made Gravy for the Chicken Fried Steak and the Chomper Fries is Real House Maid White Gravy (Very Good). I just want to say how wonderful Chompers is! Great staff, Great setting and wonderful food. This was my first visit and I was impressed with the quality. All food is truly homemade and as good as it gets. Most places have mediocre coffee but Chompers has wonderful Doma coffee. Went here yesterday for the second time. First time, the food was good and it had a nice atmosphere, but it took a long time to get the food. This time, the wait was ridiculously long and the food was subpar. After we sat down and received our drinks, it took at least 15 minutes to just take our orders. From other reviews, I guess inattentive staff is a common theme. After the order was taken, it took another 25 minutes to get the food. It was cold in general and my biscuits were hockey pucks. We arrived at Chompers at 10am and didn't actually get food until about 11:30. I would give 2 stars, but the first experience was much better than the second. read more

We walk here for breakfast and love the home baked cinnamon rolls. They have traditional, pecan, and seasonal. Everything is delicious and worth the wait on a busy day. They open at 7am, so we go then to beat the crowd. The veggie Bennie is my favorite. My husband and I visited this place for the first time on a Sunday a few weeks back. It was around 12:30 and the wait ended up being around 30 minutes (if not more)! It was a little frustrating seeing lots of open tables available on the patio (it was a beautiful day) and still having to wait that long to be seated. It seems as though the restaurant is larger than what the kitchen can handle. Once we were seated, the food and service moved along pretty quickly and the food was ok. I would suggest ordering the chomper fries as your side, they were great! My husband had the best biscuits and gravy he said he's ever had. I had the bbq chicken sandwich but it was a hot mess (literally, I couldn't even pick it up, and the bun turned to complete mush, the slaw they put on it had absolute zero flavor) I would not order it again. Was pretty disappointed with their dining room...it's just a large open (carpeted!) room with random tables scattered throughout like a cafeteria and was lit with awful fluorescent lights. I realize this place is fairly newish, but not sure I'd go back until they get the kinks worked out and maybe I'll just order to-go next time. read more

My wife likes the make-it-yourself omelets where she can pick and choose the ingredients. I like their Ruben and Philly cheese steak sandwiches. She also loves the homemade strawberry jam. This is my last time I will be coming here. Last time was terrible and today was a big disappointment again I ordered breakfast which included an omelet with spinach tomatoes and green chilies and a side of veggie sausage. The plate came with my omelet and no spinach was included and my veggie sausage was a hard as a hockey puck. I told the waitress who brought me the smallest portion of spinach and then asked if I wanted more sausage or to cancel the order. Nope I want my sausage please but one I can bite in to would be great. You would think they might take the sausage off my bill or maybe just maybe a small discount off the bill since the entire meal was not right and I had to keep waiting But no no such luck on that type of customer service. I am so tired of restaurants that treat their customers like they their business means nothing. Not only did my food order completely fall short, so did the flavor and the service. Come on Chompers make breakfast the way your customer orders it and if you don't then be willing to apologize and make things right so maybe that customer will come back to your establishment! read more

The atmosphere is nice and the restaurant is cute but this is a ridiculously overpriced place. My husband had a small 3 egg basic breakfast and half a waffle w whip cream for 15 dollars! I had a spinach salad w salmon, expecting something decent for 1350 I was sadly disappointed. A plate w a moderately small amount of spinach a few diced tomatoes and only sprinkled w smoked salon I was surprised at how lacking it was for the price!! The food was good but nothing special or gourmet for the price point. All together our bill was 50 dollars for three breakfasts....I wasn't impressed. We went back a second time and our experience was much better. I had the build your own omelet which the veggie sausage was a great option for the meat. The hash browns were not soggy or greasy so that was a giant plus. My kids had a belgian waffle with ice cream and they loved every bite. The hot chocolate portion is huge. The wait time for the food was a *little* long, but the food was very tasty. I like the fact that they have healthy options and they also have options for those who want to splurge. My only suggestion would be to offer other homemade jam options as strawberry allergies are pretty common. The staff does seem a bit busy as well, but didn't seem as rushed this time around. read more
