My girlfriend got really bad food poisoning here, talking both ends. This was the first stop during a day trip to bar harbor and we had to leave like 5 minutes after she finished her food/drink. Also felt like a tourist trap and the food + matcha was mediocre and overpriced. read more

Very good coffee shop! Lots of seating. We ordered an ice vanilla latte and a choco-latte and were both very happy with our drinks. Not too sweet and perfect hint of coffee! Would recommend. read more

Helpful staff! Lovely tacos and salads, with a healthy dose of creamy sauces and dressing. Delicious! Love the concept of chocolate and Mexican food and would love to see even more related menu items. Mole, perhaps? read more

What a great spot in bar harbor! Serving up cozy coffee drinks and a great place to hang out. They have indoor and outdoor seating available. We got the maple oat latte and the choco-latte. It's a good find for what it is. We had a very hard time finding a cafe that we could work from with indoor seating and that was spacious. This place is packed - all day long. However, once the morning rush is over, it's not too bad. Plenty of natural light and plugs around the tables. The drinks are not impressive, but I did hear the hot chocolate is very good. We didn't get any and stuck to the teas and the coffees. The scones were good. However, if you're looking for a solid place to work or get stuff done while you're here, I highly recommend it. It's further down from the center of the hustle and bustle so we found easy street parking right in front. read more

Did a winter trip and this was the happening spot in town! (Most of the town is closed off season in winter) enjoyed some London fog drinks each morning with bagels and cream cheese! The space is quaint and dog friendly and they're open daily! read more

I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience. My brother and I waited over 35 minutes for two lattes, which was incredibly frustrating--especially after we checked in at the 15-minute mark when we noticed others who ordered after us were getting their drinks first. Despite bringing it to the staff's attention, there was no apology, and our order was still forgotten. I understand that mistakes happen, but the lack of communication and care from the 6+ person staff was disappointing. Unfortunately, it put a damper on the start of our day. read more

Brownie - Dry exterior, moist interior - My cousin really liked this! Blueberry Lemonade - sour! not suffocatingly sweet! - "SLAPS" - sibling Chai Latte - The girl at the cashier made it herself yesterday. that was cute - Tasted like boiling water - Half an hour later there was a taste improvement Choco-Latte Special - more sour than expected - cousin liked it Croissant - "FLAT AS HELL. wait this might be a pro. it was easier to eat." - sibling - It was good for breakfast! - cousin Everything Bagel - "Yeah i agree with the 4.5 stars. that bagel was it" - cousin OVERALL: 4.5 stars! beautiful interior! read more

My husband and I went here on a whim our first morning in Bar Harbor. We ended up returning every morning after that (for a total of 3 mornings). They have AMAZING croissants and blueberry muffins/scones. Their Maple Oat Latte is out of this world. My husband tried their breakfast sandwiches and breakfast burrito! We both loved everything we tried. For us both to want to go back each morning is really saying something! Would recommend to anyone! read more

We are in Bar Harbor 6 days and we will have breakfast and possibly dinner here every day. The bagels are soft and fluffy and the cream cheese is all made in house. The spicy Mexican hot chocolate has warmed my bones on these cold mornings. We just stopped in for lunch and the birria tacos are to die for. Crips taco shell and succulent beef perfectly seasoned. My mouth and stomach will miss this cute little place read more

Great pre-hike stop! Before we trekked our way into the mountains of Acadia, we popped into Choco-Latte the second it opened. I grabbed myself a maple (half caff) latte with whole milk and a blueberry scone; delicious. Nice staff, quick service. The ambiance gave me mom and pop vibes. Beautiful art on the walls. Games also available if you plan on hanging out. It's one of the very few places for grab and go coffee in the Bar Harbor area, and a good place to check out! read more

We have only ordered coffee but highly recommend! I'm a sucker for a cafe bombon and the homemade brown sugar cinnamon latte was a hit! Staff were very kind - great casual spot to grab a coffee and snack in the AM! (Or mid day) read more

Cute little cafe in Bar Harbor. Parking in the area sucks, so go in the area with that expectation in advance. Was looking for a little cafe to have some cider or hot chocolate before dinner, and this place hit the spot. There's indoor and outdoor seating, local artists featured works available to purchase on the walls, and a fun vibe. I could see people spending quite a bit of time in here. There's a wide variety of drinks; we settled on an oatmilk latte with maple, a white hot chocolate, and a blueberry cream cheese danish. It can get busy, so we ended up sitting outside, which is great for people-watching. I'd visit again, for that danish and try to more flavors of fun fall drinks. Lots of stairs to get up to order your drink then down to a table. read more

Awesome coffee shop and delicious scones. Very welcoming, pro tip, order online and skip the line.

The food and drinks were great! I had the verde taco which was one of the best tacos I've ever had, and a decaf Choco-latte. I would have loved to get a little more food for the price, but the taste made it worthwhile. The place was fairly crowded but it was still possible to choose a table. The staff were friendly and fast. The ambiance is great and felt comfortable for us - lots of light, kind of cool but unpretentious, just a really nice vibe. read more

Nothing beats a warm drink on a cold rainy day. Place is basically 100% contactless (end of June). Espresso was smooth and nice foam. The Veggie (caprese) was rather tasty. The bread was soft and chewy and tasted homemade, freshly baked. The pesto was flavorful and also very fresh. Definitely could have eaten a second :) read more

Cafe de Olla - Perfection. Could not have asked for anything more. When I ordered this with oat milk subbed in and the cashier told me that was her exact go-to order, I knew good decisions had been made. The flavor did not disappoint. Brekkie Sando on Croissant - Granted I do not eat croissants or breakfast sausage very often (I try to be generally vegan), but this sandwich was so good. The croissant definitely was not anything special and my husband was not super impressed by the sandwich, but I thought it hit the mark. They also had a blueberry habanero hot sauce from Maine for use that was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. Needless to say, I added a lot. Salted Caramel Truffle - I love truffles. But they're so dang expensive that I rarely indulge. However, when on vacay in Maine... I ordered one without hesitation and have no regrets. The caramel was fresh and soft - it didn't stick to my teeth at all. Caramel can be a gamble and with this truffle I hit the jackpot. Choco-Latte does so many things so well that I cannot give it anything less than 5 stars. Plus the staff is super friendly and the vibes are happy. read more

Pretty decent coffee shop. Lots of options for drink and food. The space is large but not really your typical coffee shop vibes, more of a cafe. I got an iced mocha. It was very tasty! Rich and smooth. read more

Stopped by to grab a quick breakfast and coffee and was pleasantly surprised! Got a sausage egg and cheese on a croissant.. SO delicious! Very flakey and warm and just what I needed before our strenuous hike in Acadia afterwards. I ordered a caramel macchiato hoping it'd be something similar to Starbuck's but the cashier warned me that they do it french style so it's not what I might expect. She recommended the caramel latte instead so I went with that. The latte was delicious! It had great flavor and was pretty sweet, which I enjoyed. Lovely lol place in Bar Harbor! read more

4.5 stars! Came in looking to get some pastries or something to warm up and was excited to see the varieties of hot chocolates they had. Easily ordered they house made hot chocolate and I regret getting the smallest size. It hit the spot after a long day of hiking and had a nice rich flavor that didn't overwhelm you, but made you want to drink more. Also the food was big surprise. They offer a lot of food, including some Mexican style foods like tacos, quesadillas, birria and chicken verde. Was a bit skeptical so I got the quesadilla with chicken and it was fire! Toasted excellently, the chicken verde in the quesadilla was juicy and gave the meal a great flavor. Loaded with cheese and a god size of chicken, paired with some pico and sour cream in the sides. Hit the spot, especially after eating a bunch of sea food over the last few days Would come back without a question! Nice spot and chill ambiance. Seating isn't the best, but if you can find a spot to eat and drink, you'll enjoy it a lot! read more

Would absolutely come again - stopped by Choco-Latte before our drive back home and it was busy! Would highly recommend the Choco-Latte with oat milk for folks visiting for the first time. Like myself, I wasn't too sure what to expect - and it was DELICIOUS. I also saw many of the customers ordering bagels, so I also ordered one. Plain bagel was toasted and cream cheese tasted like it was homemade. Service was friendly, lots of seating available, and street parking is available on the street. I'd recommend you stop in! read more

Extremely long wait and probably the worst cold brew i've ever had. I got the salted maple cold brew and it was full of syrup to the brim. Probably at least 4 pumps. Tasted artificial - not like real maple. Had to throw it away for $6 which is absurd. Was really undrinkable. read more

This is a happening spot with great bagels! We got bagels and cream cheese with tomato and cucumber. You can build your own. They were delicious! The bagels are large, soft, and chewy with generous toppings. We waited in a long line at about 8:30am as it's a very popular spot. Seating was open and there were plenty of tables. Very family friendly, cute spot, with a great location. 1 star docked because they lost our order. After we waited in the long line, we waited and waited for our order to come up. After several orders after us got theirs we asked and they had no record of it. We double checked that our credit card was charged and it was. Slightly frustrating but worth the wait. Call and order before if you don't want to risk a line. read more

Best coffee / latte in bar harbor. Period. The name may sound corny, but the place is legit. The Choco-latte itself is awesome and I got it on a whim the first time in and was hooked. After a disappointing visit to a certain hound up the strip I'm glad we tried this place. read more

Great place for a quick breakfast and some good coffee before going out to Acadia or just around town.

Just a regular coffee shop. The staff was nice and it's quiet inside for a chill. Not much pastries choices.

Homemade bagels are amazing, although way too much cream cheese for my liking. Perfect chew. Hot chocolate was really good too.

Choco-Latte not only does hot beverages to wake you up in the morning, but it also knows how to serve good food. The beef birria tacos were hot and savory, and the tortilla was nicely toasted. I've never had an authentic birria taco like the ones in New York, so I don't know how Choco-latte's compares to the real deal. I do wish that they gave more of the special birria consomme sauce; the videos online always show people drowning their birria tacos in a cup's worth of sauce whereas here, they only gave us a tiny container. Nonetheless, the flavor from the seared beef and meaty cheese did not leave me disappointed. I also had the chicken verde tacos, which were a whole different level of flavor. The pickled vegetables were refreshing and went great with the chicken, and the Baja sauce was indescribably delicious. Overall, after experiencing constant disappointment of overpriced, mediocre, unfulfilling food, I can safely say that the tacos at Choco-Latte are by far the best in terms of flavor at a fairly reasonable price here in Bar Harbor ($12 for one pair of tacos). read more

Everyone loves this place and now I know why! It's full of cheerful staff and delicious coffee. There's a pour your own station if you're not ordering anything fancy. The drip coffee is tasty and I wish I had picked up a bag to take home. The menu is creative with lots of bakery and breakfast options. I had avocado toast topped with tomato and micro greens with veggies sausage. It was two huge slices of bread that easily could have been 2 breakfasts. Mouth watering! read more

As one of the few places open in Bar Harbor for locals during winter, we decided to check out this cafe. They were adhering to Covid precautions which was nice to see. We ordered online and waited 15-20 minutes for our order. We had a choco latte and oat latte. Both were nice, hot and delicious. The choco latte was a nice change from regular lattes as it has hints of cinnamon which was very enjoyable. The oat latte was good as well if you're looking for something different. We also tried their avocado toast and blueberry bagel. We really liked the avocado toast but the blueberry bagel was nothing special. read more
