Very cute inside lots of room to hang around. The staff is friendly but not the brightest bunch. Both of my orders were not what u asked for. They were out of bagels. Coffee was just coffee nothing special might as well go to the stadium read more

Sad we couldn't go in, but cutest little coffee shop (and one of the only things still open) on the Main Street of downtown Bar Harbor. My boyfriend and I stopped here before hiking, and ordered a variety of things. I had a blueberry bagel with maple cream cheese (as requested by the woman working the register) and it was DELICIOUS. Perfect amount of cream cheese and the colors of the blueberries were crazy! I also had an iced choco-latte (come on, I had to) with oat milk and it was so yummy. The spices enhanced it instead of overpowering and the oat milk made it so creamy. My boyfriend had a bagel sandwich, with eggs, pepper jack cheese, bacon and tomato on a cheddar bagel. After craving an Asiago bagel for days, he said the cheddar was just what he was looking for and the tomato was a nice added touch to cut the richness. He also had a cafe de olla, which I also tried, and it had the similar interesting spices to mine. Overall, a great spot and SO GRATEFUL they were still open in a town mostly closed down. Would recommend stopping by for breakfast!!! read more

We swung by here for breakfast. It was a popular spot. If you can order online, you should although it did not work for us. The service was good even though they seemed understaffed, please be patient. The breakfast sandwich was really good! read more

I was all set to love Choco-Latte as we rented the beautiful AirBnB right above the shop and I've always seen the tables of the cafe completely filled up, especially on weekend mornings. And I'll admit that I've only tried a few of their offerings, namely, their house-made bagel sandwiches and the blueberry muffin (which was nicely moist and powered me all the way up Cadillac Mountain later that morning). But the service was a bit cold. No smile, no greeting, just a lukewarm, "What are you having?" It was such an odd contrast to the other places we visited where everyone couldn't be nicer. Or at least somewhat smiley. Plus, the wait for two egg sandwiches was almost half an hour. Overall, a cozy spot for getting some work done - lots of seating and funny art on the walls - but there are friendlier breakfast spots elsewhere. read more

I had the maple double with oat milk along with macadamia cookie. They were both fantastic.

Cute place, good location on Main street. Wifi and lots of room. Truffles and baked goods looked good. Good temperature of drinks. Eco friendly cups. Nice spice blends in the Chocolatte with almond milk and Mexican hot chocolate, but their "homemade chocolate syrup" lacking in chocolate flavor in the drinks. Yay, bathroom read more

Super cute and spacious but what's more important is that the lattes are delicious! I paired mine with a few truffles and it was the perfect afternoon pick me up. Sat and enjoyed the artwork while my husband and kids played a game of chess. Great place! read more

Really loved our breakfast from here! We both got the Maple Latte - iced and it was delicious! I got the Avocado Toast which was perfect; the sourdough was toasted to perfection and the avocado smash was so tasty. My husband got a bagel breakfast sandwich with sausage and egg and he loved it. Would definitely visit again when back in Bar Harbor and highly recommend you stop by for some coffee or breakfast on your trip here! read more

I tried their mocha-coffee, the choco-latte, and their hot chocolate. None of them were very good. The hot chocolate was barely swiss-miss quality. I will definitely not shell out the high prices this place charges again. read more

Getting a mocha here is perfect on chilly days. I know people like the hot chocolate mix (spices) but I love just a simple mocha! It's delicious and not to sweet. They also have a great selection of food on top of their chocolate drinks. Yum! read more

hate to say it because this place is cute the service is friendly, but this has gotta be the worst coffee in town. came here after we realized another coffee shop we love was closed and ordered some iced lattes. they were super burnt tasting and just... way off. like i'm not even sure it was espresso they served us lol. anyway we couldn't finish them. i also ordered a toasted blueberry bagel that was served cold, and was really doughy, almost raw inside. place seems popular, but keep walking (preferably towards coffee matter) read more

This is a wholesome coffee place. They hit it out of the park with their coffee beverages and their baked goods will do in a pinch. I spent six days in Bar Harbor and came to this place every day. I was so impressed with the Maple Oat Latte that I had ordered it four times before I even considered getting anything else. The oat flavor was very distinct and the maple was subtle and not too sweet. Unlike most coffee shops, their coffee is not bitter. It's a pleasant, yet bold experience. Next in line to try was the Cafe De Olla. It has a creamy, almost marshmallow-like foam on top, and once you get through the foam and into the coffee, your mouth is pleasantly encompassed by the subtle spices that have been infused into it. The baked goods were very good to have alongside the coffee, but seemed lacking on their own. The chocolate chip pumpkin bread was very tasty though. The staff had a good sense of humor and the cashier was very kind and helped me navigate the menu. If you're looking for a nice, consistent coffee place to visit in Bar Harbor, this is, in my opinion, the best coffee in town. read more

Walked in to a crowd of people waiting for their turn to order. We were excited because clearly this place was popular and cute! Once we reached the cashier the lady working was not very friendly but it was busy so we didn't really mind. Waited for our drinks and watched them put TAP water in our cold brews.. I get needing to put water in it if it's concentrated or whatever but at least put some filtered water.. not from the sink. Woulda been okay but it was clear that we didn't even receive cold brew because cold brew has 60% less acidity.. it was very acidic which leads me to believe that we received iced coffee. We spent $10 and 25 minutes in that place to receive shit coffee. read more

The chai latte, cafe de olla, and maple latte were all fab. Such a great coffee and tea spot in Bar Harbor and while there was a regular line, the staff here got those drinks out so fast! We enjoyed grabbing our drinks and taking them to-go on long walks along the water read more

The choco-latte is fantastic. House made chocolate syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, double shot of espresso. Very clean and lots of space. Highly recommended read more

We are from out of town and found this place while walking around town. Placing an order for a family of 5 takes time and the staff couldn't have been more polite. The building is clean and comfortable. Their breakfast sandwiches were amazing. My wife and I enjoyed a couple of caffeinated beverages. read more

Great no-frills place to grab a coffee or pastry, or a quick lunch. Had the beef birria tacos and they were delicious. Also enjoyed the hot chocolate. read more

Excellent chocolatte. The latte was chocoately without being sweet. Breakfast sandwiches were also excellent. Nicely toasted croissants with eggs and sausage. There was a lot of flavor in the pepper jack cheese for the sandwiches. Wifi is also free so if you want to get some work done here, you can. The only downside is some of the plugs seem a little loose. read more

Best bagels in my opinion!!! Fresh, flavorful and chewy. Great with the fluffy cream cheese. I was here on a very cold winter day with abundant sunshine! I ordered a delicious choco latte and a delicious chai latte. These paired very well with the pumpkin chocolate chip pound cake and the almond cherry pound cake!!! Both very fresh tasty and house made. Since it was so cold out and I was going on the carriage roads for a long hike, I also had the best bagel sandwich ever. Everything bagel, cheddar cheese, fresh fried egg, Beyond veggie sausage and avocado!! All this good food and drink kept me warm, satiated and HAPPY all day long!!! Thank you!! read more

Visited in early July on a weekday, not a long wait and some free tables. They have a fun drinks selection - I got a matcha latte with barista oat milk the first time and later a horchata (very thick with rice, like almost ice cream consistency, and tasty). Blueberry lemonade is great too. The baristas were friendly and they have free wifi. read more

Cool place and was perfect for my breakfast. I got the make your own croissant sandwich with eggs, chorizo, tomato, and avocado. So fresh and so good. I also enjoyed their regular drip coffee. They serve Mexican hot chocolate and a few other Mexican drinks. That would have been great. But my wife placed my order for me while I was trying to secure a table, so missed that opportunity. read more

Choco-Latte - Outside - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Bar Harbor, Maine

Choco-latte is a great place to grab breakfast or coffee. They have a wide range of dairy free milks which was highly appreciated. The espresso was good too! I ordered a sesame bagel with their specialty Maine blueberry cream cheese. The bagel was nice, but the blueberry cream cheese lacked flavor. I think it was made with some real blueberries but honestly It just felt like a normal cream cheese. A little disappointing, but nothing that would stop me from returning again! The staff was super nice and they had an organized to go system with a good amount of outdoor tables set up. read more

Delicious little place with great chocolates. I had a great coffee, my husband had a specialty tea, and we ordered some of their chocolates to eat while walking around Bar Harbor. This place was great and they were friendly, but definitely be careful of the coffee temperature. I burned the **** out of my mouth and tongue. It was hotter than normal (like at Starbucks or Dublin etc). I'm sure it was a 1 time fluke but I was the one time fluke. The coffee was good after it cooled down enough to drink and the prices were great! read more

Bagels really good drinks are hit or miss, recommend ordering online way faster. Maple oat latte good but maybe ask for extra maple

Liked their coffee the other day and stopped in this afternoon for a warm drink on an overcast day. Cashier was lovely and helpful, real disappointed with the barista who was working. I asked that my drink (London fog) be made less sweet, and I saw that the cashier noted that on the order. When it came out very sweet I politely asked the cashier if it could be made again less sweet, as that is what I had initially asked for. The cashier spoke to the barista who didn't seem thrilled about my request but said it could be made again, then proceeded to add *no* sweetener at all to my drink. Super unprofessional, and what a bummer to have that experience in an otherwise lovely cafe. read more

If you're looking for a comfortable and positive way to start your morning, look no further! We are visiting Bar Harbor from Baltimore in the off season and arrived early after driving straight through the night. We were welcomed and served promptly and couldn't have felt more welcome. Great year round coffee shop. The breakfast burrito was a bit disappointing - i think some of the other bakeries like mount dessert have better sandwiches but the chocolate is incredible.
