Matt is rude. So rude that he hung up on me when I told him we was unpleasant to me during our interaction. Horrible customer service. Careless and unconcerned. His attitude needs to be addressed. He was belittling, didn't try to explain or be polite while relaying the information. He cut me off when I tried to ask questions and he kept harshly saying "it's simple" when I said I didn't understand (because he was using jargon not laymen's terms). After receiving a large crack in my windshield from road debris I was directed to Lightning Auto Glass by my car dealer. When I called they were very helpful and I got a quick appointment with them. I was in and out within an hour. Even though I had to drive an hour to get there, the service I received was worth it. Would highly recommend to anyone. read more

Got here at 8am for my appointment, was told it would be at most an hour wait. At 9:30am my car was still where I parked it and was then told it would be another hour. The receptionist Sharon was very rude and did not care that I ended up waiting close to 3 hours for a simple window replacement. So someone threw a brick through my window for the second time! First time I had Safelite do it. This time i called Safelite and they told me they couldn't come out for another week....seriously? So i looked around and decided to check out Lightning Auto Glass. First, they gave me a quote for half the price that Safelite said. Then they came out to me, fixed it and vacuumed the glass as well. All-in-all the service was great. They came the same day and within the timeframe they told me. The two men were very nice and very quick. It took about 20 mins. I am disappointed in Lightning Auto Glass. Things were going great, amazing, even. They offered me a great price on a windshield replacement on my van and said they could repair the chips in my car's windshield as well. They were even available to come to my home to do the work on the same day. The repair men arrived on time and were extremely friendly. We discovered not one, but three chips in the car windshield. At $85 each to repair, I called the office to inquire whether I should simply just get a new windshield. I was told it would be $170 to repair all three chips, about $100 less than a new windshield. I decided to move forward with the repairs. Once the repairs were finished, I discovered that the chips were not gone. They were still there. It turns out that I should have expected that, even though no one told me. I called the office to inquire and was told that despite my previous experience and what the technicians were saying that the chips NEVER disappear. I was also told that I was not told about the chips not disappearing because they did a "favor" for me and came to my home. I did not know they were doing me a favor. I thought they were providing a service. I was then told that if the chip repairs were to fail that $85, not the $170 I paid, could be applied towards a new windshield. I do not think that this was good customer service. I do not think that when a customer is disappointed with your product that you should essentially call her a liar and then inform her that you are doing her a favor. read more

AMAZING SERVICE!!! John & Courtney came out to my place of employment and fixed my vehicle window. They fixed my window in about a 1/2 hour, made sure the power window worked and vaccummed up the broken glass left from the break in. Plus they were the cheapest of all the other companies. These guys were great! I had a crack in my windshield, I called them up and they came out two days later to my job, and replaced the glass. Had a car broken into and they not only got the glass brought over from their warehouse and installed, but also got a replacement part from the dealer where damage was done to the B pillar. I went here on yesterday and was very pleased with the turn around time. I called on Thursday got an appointment for Friday. Arrived a little late for my appointment and was still in and out in about and hour and a half. Matt was very friendly over the phone and during check in. The only suggestion I would have is to ask for them to explain exactly what you are getting (in other words all your options). Although I got the basic tint it would have been nice to know exactly what all my options were than for the merchant to assume I just wanted the basic tint. That was the opportunity for him to sell their higher end products as well. Regardless of that, I would recommend this place. I have been in Atlanta since 94 and remember passing this place quite often. Their longtime establishment made me feel secure with knowing that I was getting quality work and should anything happen with the tint- I felt ok knowing they would be aroind still. read more

Bad attitude. I called their after hour service and they quoted me a price for $775 to replace my windshield. I had been waiting for an after market manufacturer to come out with a cheaper windshield before I replaced mine (since it had a small crack). So, I thought great! Someone came out with something. This morning I received a call from their office saying that the quote is "still $1016. I don't know where you got a quote for $600 something but you can go have them replace your windshield". I was baffled, so I called back and asked about the quote $775. The guy then told me that the after hour service person did not add in clips. I asked that clips costs so much? And then he basically said well, I don't know how she quoted you that because it's under our cost. He could have just said that the after hour lady screwed up and can't honor the quote. Instead makes up this whole thing about not adding clips. He then proceeds to tell me that the price of my windshield will "never" get cheaper and to go to someone else. Customer service is not their forte. I was originally going to come back and use their service bc my dealership recommended them. But they just have shitty customer service. Nowadays, it's important to have customer service. Something they clearly don't have. I would more willingly pay someone more money that can treat me like a wanted customer. It's never something you want to deal with, but the team at Lightning Auto Glass made everything convenient and easy. I had a few recommendations of different places and called around. Lightning Auto Glass was the easiest to get a quote from and answered the phone. Not only were they prompt their quote was better than some of the others I received. Very easy to schedule an appointment the same day and they were ready and waiting when I arrived 15 minutes early. The service was fast and it was comfortable waiting in their small waiting room. Well first off, as a fellow business owner. Consumer don't care about how long you have been in business and OLD consumer merit awards that clearly don't reflect THIS year. What's important is are YOU today as a business providing quality services and meeting the consumer's expectations for what there are paying for at your establishment. Second, it's sign of weakness to bring up your OLD accolades. Their no need to start a pissing match with me, I'm just a consumer. But, I also have 3 business(s) running ALL at the same time with all of them being more than 6 years old and still going strong with ALL glory going to God. Unfortunately, we have never met. But, if we have than you would also know that this is my third lease in a row with from Maserati and that every two year I switch into a newer model. Needless to say, I only went to your establishment to get a tint job. I just recently acquire a new vehicle and my last tint guy said he was overbooked for the next two week out and wouldn't be able to tint my car until than. Thats should of been my first sign, when you guys agreed to do it as soon as possible. Needless to say the lady, or whose ever you have running your spot, CLEARLY made me sign something prior to me making this appointment which reflected the price. So as a owner it's sounds like you may need to be around more, because their clearly some form your employee(s) are making people sign prior to starting the job. And second I think your missing the bigger picture. I wasn't upset about the price, I was upset to how you guys did a bait and switch to get more money out of your consumer. I called Lightning from I 75 as I was driving from MI to FL. A rock had smashed my sunroof, it was raining and I was desperate. Matt directed to Lightning's Chamblee/Atlanta location where he covered the cracked sunroof and arranged to replace the shattered sunroof first thing the next morning. POOR SERVICE and they are LIARS!! I had a horrible experience with Lightning auto glass. My car window was smashed by a thief - so I called Lightning Auto Glass and they did a mobile window repair. He replaced the window and at first, it all seemed to be good. A few days later I noticed that every time I shut the door, I can hear the old glass parts/pebbles rattle in the door. Called them and they said "the only way we can address that is if you bring the car into our shop in Chamblee, M-F 8 to 5 pm." In NO WAY is that convenient for me! I told the guy I did not like that and asked if they could make the repair from their mobile service. He said "no" and that a mobile repair will NEVER get all the glass out. That ticked me off"! The WHOLE REASON I chose them in the first place was for the convenience of the mobile repair. When I told him they should have let me now that BEFORE I made the decision to use them, he got very rude and argumentative with me. ALSO, their web site says they have "7 locations in Atlanta" and one of those is very close to my house. But when I called him today, he says they only have ONE location and that is in Chamblee - and that is VERY FAR from me. A big part of my decision to use them was that if there was a problem, they had a location that was very close to me. Now I found out that is a big fat lie and my only hope for a resolution is to drive to Chamblee! THEY DO SHODDY WORK - AND THEY LIE!! read more

I brought my car up one afternoon to get a quote to tint my windows and to see if I could get my windows tinted that day. The guy quoted me $225 on the spot. I told him if they could do it for $225 (I have a small SUV), that I would like to get it done. No openings that day so I agreed to bring it by the next morning, no problem. I brought it by at the stated time the next morning and signed off on $225. About an hour or so later, I received a phone call stating that my car had 2 extra TINY windows that would require more labor so they now wanted to charge me $269. They would not budge and honor the price of $225 they quoted me the previous day (the same price I had signed off on that morning)! My car was parked right out front both times I had been up there. When you give someone a quote, maybe you should actually take a look at the car and MAKE SURE you can honor the pricing you agree to. If they would have quoted me $269 UP FRONT, all would have been fine. It's very apparent the employees at this location do not make customer service a priority, as other reviews have stated as well. It's not that hard to be friendly, upfront and honest. We picked up my car and took it to K&L tinting instead, where between my husband and I, have taken about 8 cars over the past 13 years. K&L got it done in an hour with a great attitude and a reasonable price of $220. I would not recommend Lightning Auto Glass to anyone. Go elsewhere for your window tinting needs. read more
