Here is an update. As of the fall of 2021 they probably got rid of riff raff. I will have to say the last review was harsh but justified. To be fair, they have IMPROVED A LOT lately. Once again it's my favorite Chipotle. They have been very good and very hard working lately. These kids here now are great, attentive, and really do put up with windbags like myself. This lakeside location has come far and I applaud these kids and appreciate what they do given how hard things are now. This is also one of the few places I can find Mr. Pibb. This place is the portal to hell. Every time I've been in here it is completely filthy.. You have workers screaming at people as they walk in the door that there's no white rice left and no honey chicken. Maybe just wait until they get to the counter and ask for it before you start screaming. It's 90 out and they have no ice. You need to have someone that can continuously clean the dining room. I've frequented this location for a long time because the staff had been wonderful.... Until recently. The last 3 of 5 visits they have a store manager working that has a chip on her shoulder- she's so confident she's doing it the "chipotle way" she's lost touch with human interaction. Her staff is kind, friendly, and accommodating but she's rude, mocking customers, embarrassing me for asking for more sauce, telling me " you can pay extra that's enough- that's all we give". Fine? Like I wanted extra so charge me if it's extra but you don't need to cause a scene on two separate occasions. I wouldn't be surprised if her staff turnover was high because her attitude and voice is so uninviting- I literally left tonight shaking. I won't be back. read more

The location is always very busy, I rarely see the same people working one visit to the next. I got a burrito bowl with brown rice. Brown rice was nearly empty, employee asked the worker prepping food for more rice, he said it wasn't ready, and get this....told person making my bowl "don't use the remaining rice, there were online orders "already paid for" that needed the rice. I'm there waiting, no online pickup customers present, and I have to wait? Not very good customer service. read more

This location is the only location that always has EVERYTHING. Every other chipotle seems to run out of ingredients early in the day or just stop refilling the stuff before closing. This location will still be making fresh chicken 20 minutes to close. & they always have the vinaigrette!! Service here is always surprisingly quick, considering. It's on Hall Road. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! There was boxes and Cleaning supplies everywhere yet everything was dirty. Was there on mat 15th and 4-4:30pm, Philip was amazing poor guy needs a raise, he just walked in and this lady was screaming "CASH THEM OUT" when we were asking if their pop machine was working. It feels like they never have worked a day in their life and the manager was no better, screaming across the store like we weren't even there. Usually love this location but the guy working the counter (tall, tan, and probably addicted to nicotine) was awful. I asked for the soft tacos and one of my tacos was completely inedible because the only meat on it was a giant piece of fat. This is probably the busiest Chipotle that I have ever been to, which is awesome because the food is always fresh. Staff always changes their gloves frequently, which is a thumbs up for me since I have a ton of allergies. All the meats and beans are seasoned and a tad on the spicy side. I opt out of the pinto beans and every salsa because they tear up my stomach. I normally order the soft corn taco tortillas because unlike the burrito tortillas, the corn tortillas don't have gluten in them. Staff isn't very friendly. They act like they hate their job. My biggest complaint is the dinning area is always dirty and never cleaned (tables, floors, chairs, pop area) I visit this location at least once a week and its always a hard decision to find a table because you're always left looking for one that doesn't have much of a mess on it (which is next to impossible!) They should hire a person just to clean the dinning area. Also beware the pop machines are frequently out of at least one pop at all times. read more

This is the only chipotle I go to. It's perfect every time. They're always fast, they're never out of anything. The chips are always fresh.

Although it can be inconsistent here, this place keeps chipotle above ground. The guy with the tattoos and earrings knows how to work the grill. Whenever i see him back there I know it's going to be good. This place is either a 5/5 when I go or probably close to a 3/5 so it can go either way, but I definitely think this is the best location. read more

This is always a busy location because it's right off of Hall Road. Friendly employees and good portions keep me coming back to this convenient location. Unfortunately the size is a little on the small side. BUT they offer outdoor seating, which is so refreshing with the warmer weather! Usually when I stop in here the dining room is...not clean. Almost every table is dirty, cheese shreds everywhere, drink station has beverage spill everywhere. I know it's hard to keep up the cleaning during busy times but it's needed when you have customers dining in. read more

This location has got to be the WORST chipotle I have ever been to. Every single time they are out of something or everything. No pico? No salad dressing? How do you sell salads with no dressing? No steak? Out of rice? Not to mention it's always FILTHY, no one takes any initiative to wipe the tables down so the next guests can sit down, the floors are filthy. Lastly, the lady rang the guy infront of me up for my meal and his meal, then tried blaming her lack of paying attention to her job on the guy next to her that has nothing to do with what she was doing. When me and the guy pointed out that she charged him double not a single apology was issued AND they couldn't provide him with a copy of his receipt after he was refunded and then charged again. Started by McDonald's, Chipotle was a huge success from it's inception. I have checked out the hype way before this review, but finally remembered to check in on Yelp! The concept is fresh, made to order wraps, bowls, or salads. The price is based on the protein (or lack of) you choose, and not the vessel in which it is served. What I have noticed is that the portions have gotten smaller, and the prices increased marginally over the years. The Lakeside location has an outdoor patio which faces onto Hall Rd (M-59). The decor is metal tables and chairs. Service is cafeteria style, you place your order, pay for it, seat yourself, and consume it. The premise is you build your meal by first picking a protein, then your vessel which your meal will be served; a wrap, a bowl, or a salad. Then you select your complements. Beans, rice, corn, salsa, cheese, etc. Once your order is complete, you pay for your meal. Drinks are self serve once you buy a cup. The ingredients are fresh and they serve one scoop of everything you build with your order. I had asked for additional accompaniments and they provided it without issue (not including Protein). Note: Guacamole use to be free, but now is $2 extra. Tip: you can get free tortillas (comes in 2 sizes: taco or burrito) if you order bowl or salad. Just ask. Since you get to choose the accompaniments to go with your meal, I will only focus on the proteins Carnitas bowl. Typically pork, carnitas is essentially braised meat in lard. But due to the health implications of cooking in lard, many places substitute with oil. But in the end, the results should be the same, a very tender meat, pulled pork style. While they did well on the process (slow cooked until very tender), they lacked in the flavour department. When braising meats, you really need to heavily season them while cooking. I was glad I selected the spicy salsa, as it provided many of the flavours the carnita lacked. 2+1 stars because it was braised long enough for the collagen to break down and make the meat really tender. 3 stars. Steak bowl. Served with steak cubes. These turned out a little dry (from over cooking), but not horribly bad. It was light in flavours, but at least it existed. Again, the accompaniments made up the dish. 3 stars. Chicken. White meat, also grilled and also very tender. This was a little more flavourful than the steak 3,5 stars. Barbacoa. Not exactly sure what this was I asked how it was prepared. The response was that it was beef; marinated and grilled. When I got it, it was more like the carnitas (pulled beef). When I tasted it on it's own, there was definitely a "meaty" taste to it; but like the carnitas, it carried little flavour and was very tender. Neither the carnitas nor the barbacoa was dry which is nice, and both are nice and tender. I'm not sure how grilling meat can make it tender to a point where you can pull it, but if it's really grilled, Chipotle has the ultimate recipe. My guess is that it's slow steamed, like a brisket, then finished off on a grill. 3 stars. Overall, the place isn't expensive (less than $10), but portion size has shrunk. You can load up on accompaniments, but then ratio to protein is off. Chipotle used to load it up, but it's about 25% smaller now. What was once a great value (as one meal easily serves 2), now has dropped from great to good. 3 stars. I'm a frequent costumer at this location I order a Bowl to go with white rice and brown rice Chicken ,veggies ,black beans, mild salsa, corn sour cream cheese , lettuce on 8-16-2022 I ordered 2 bowls the same, we went home we didn't have corn sour cream, cheese. What I don't understand is I use the exact same spoons in my household on a daily and my rice is always filled along with my chicken. But putting those aside, the food is always delicious and filling and I always save half for leftovers. I am a creature of habit and usually order the same thing~ the burrito bowl personalized to my liking. Why switch a good thing when everything is perfect already. I'm a big Chipotle fan, but this location can't seem to put it all together. I have ordered ahead multiple times, only to show up and wait while the people in line are served. I would recommend just ordering at the restaurant, you likely won't save time by ordering ahead. Every time I have picked up my food there has been at least one issue with my order. After a particularly disappointing pick up Chipotle did make it right by sending me a gift card.
