My first experience at Chipotle wasn't great, but my second one was fantastic!!! I ordered via the mobile app, which said my order would be ready at 12:00pm. I arrived around 11:57am and it was already waiting for me. The person at the window was really friendly. This time, I ordered the Carne Asada Burrito with white rice, carne asada, black beans, fresh tomato salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, and guacamole. Let me tell you, this burrito was HUGE!!!!! It was perfectly wrapped and stuffed with tender steak and flavor. I especially loved the chili corn salsa it added a lot to the taste. I'll definitely be ordering this burrito again, I was amazed at how delicious it was. If you haven't tried the Carne Asada Burrito you're definitely missing out! Chipotle, great job!!! read more

Using the app for pickup is great for me, but the amount has become increasingly smaller! Wrong rice and precious little of that! The bowl was more than half empty. Nothing like the quantity when walking in and going through the line. Yet same price and I still tipped, because they ask for tip on the app. read more

** Clean bathroom alert!! ** For road trippers, this Chipotle should be considered a welcome sight. If you're looking to avoid the regular fast food, etc, you're going to want to stop here while passing through Rocky Mount. The restaurant is obviously new or had been recently rehabbed; I found it very hospitable and fresh-looking. There is a drive through and it's honestly the first time I've seen one of those on a Chipotle. I'm having a tough time imagining how that would go, considering all of the face-to-face ordering that happens inside at the counter. It did not try the drive through, but it did appear that it was getting some use while we ate. I tried the chicken al pastor, which honestly was pretty good considering the more traditional appearance of that preparation style. I think it goes nicely with the green salsa, but I would honestly put that stuff on anything. Make yourself an Arnold Palmer at the soda fountain, and you're all set. I was impressed by the well-stocked condiments area (see picture); this is usually a weakness for most Chipotle locations at rush time, what with the way the hot sauces get used up haphazardly during the day. Again, the bathrooms are super clean. This is important because the Rocky Mount commercial area is one of those spots where road trippers look for some relief. Location is ok. I do appreciate that there is overflow parking. The first couple of times I drove pass it was packed with the line near the door. I ordered a double chicken, double steak bowl and two chicken bowls via the mobile app for pickup. There was no line and my order was ready when I arrived so that was a plus. To my disappointment when I arrived home and opened the bowls the amounts did not meet my expectations. Double chicken and double steak had the bare minimum of both meats with extra rice. I am not sure if mobile orders are treated differently because they are rushing to have them done in a timely manner but I did not appreciate this. I will try this location again because it is the closest to me right now. Hopefully they work out the kinks and get it together. read more

I was super excited that there was a chipotle coming to Rocky Mount, it's one of my favorite places! Being a college student, this was a game change for those nights when the cafeteria just isn't hitting right. The excitement died quickly upon opening my aluminum cover to my burrito bowl... The location is beautiful, even has a drive thru for mobile orders, which is a feature I have yet to see in my big town of Charlotte, where I normally reside. Service was quick, the employee at the window was nice, all good signs so far. When I returned to my dorm and opened my food, I was met with the portion size of a toddler's meal.... I mean, for the the amount of money they charge, I expect a bigger amount of food. I have a feeling that the mobile orders are rushed, unlike when you order in person and can verbally request that they add more to your bowl, thus my skimpy serving. To make things worse, the rice was AWFUL. It was not cooked at all, it might as well have come straight from the pack. I'm Asian, and have no shame in saying that I'm an EXPERT when it comes to rice texture, and this, was far from adequate. I'll be a "Karen" if it means getting my money's worth, so guess who hopped on the phone real quick ready to demand a refund. For the first time in forever, a human being actually answered the phone! (If you know about chipotle's new automated voice system... you know, LOL.) She was super helpful, apologized & was able to help me with a discount voucher. Not a refund, but better than nothing so I'm grateful! I'd love to give this place another try but I'm usually a "one & done" person when it comes to mid experiences... so we will see. I had such a great experience at the Rocky Mount (NC) Chipotle (on Wesleyan Blvd.) today that I summoned the manager, Mr. K. Britt. I have never witnessed a crew who worked together with so much precision. All staff worked together like a professional team in a clean organized store! This team is truly impressive and one deserving of accolades and the opportunity to showcase their outstanding skills on any national Chipotle commercial! I love the food at Chipotle but I'm beginning to get very frustrated. I always order on the app and always something is wrong with the order. Tonight I ordered a veggie bowl to get the free guacamole on it. Also I paid extra for queso. When my husband got home with my order there was no guacamole and regular cheese instead of queso. I made a mobile order that was supposed to be ready at 2:30. I've been in this line since then and three cars have moved in the last 34 minutes. I went inside to see if I could pick up the food but it was crowded in there and the register is far from the door. There were people waiting for the pickup inside orders too. This is bad business. I would drive away but I've already paid for the food. I'm disappointed and feel trapped in this line. I don't see a way to get a refund on the app so I'm just waiting. This was my second time visiting Chipotle. This time I brought an out of town guest who has previously enjoyed Chipotle in their city. Online order consisted of burrito bowl and burrito were disgusting. They couldn't even get the parboiled rice correct. Rice was hard and cold. Beans were dry and not cooked. Why place a timing to pick up the food -- when the food needs to be reheated (5 minutes away from Chipotle). Chicken was hard and stringy. The burrito tasted as bad as the burrito bowl. Why come to Rocky Mount with such disdainful, tasteless food? You need to close down and regroup and hire people who actually care. Needless to say, it was not worth the money spent.Although we are still dinner hungry, I won't even ask for a voucher. read more
