It's Chipotle, like any other Chipotle. I like Chipotle's food and feel badly for them that our food supply has been contaminated and it has affected what people think of their business as they are a victim of the food contamination problem out there (see pretty much daily food recalls due to listeria, salmonella, E.coli on vegetables, etc). With all of that said, I am very glad this location is now open. Neither Woburn nor Saugus are terribly convenient for me and this location is easily accessible and has lots of parking. This place is the absolute worst. Haven't ordered food from here ever since the one time I did and the place was disgusting. When I do doordash orders from there it's the same thing every time. Sticky floors, tables were still dirty with old food on them. The counter where the food is made has insane amounts of cross contamination and they'll hold your dash back 15-20 minutes because of how dumb the idiot workers there are at prioritizing tasks. My father was so appalled at this that he called the Board of Health on you guys. Better tighten the ship up or you'll be going out of business real soon. read more

NEVER will I again order online from this restaurant (Chipotle location/Reading). To begin, their website has no provision for making dietary or allergy restrictions when you order (example if you are lactose intolerant and do not wish to have cheese on your order). Additionally, it is IMPOSSIBLE to call the restaurant and speak to a manager or other staff to make the adjustment. You call the store you get a recorded assistant. It will tell you the best way to resolve your issue is to refer to your the "help" icon on your confirmation. However, the restaurant never sent me a confirmation. Unfortunately, I placed my order through Uber Eats and in talking with Chipotle Customer Service I was told I had to get the confirmation from Chipotle. She did send me a makeshift confirmation containing my order number, but it did not include a link to "help" to resolve any issues. Since no one will answer the phone (I tried calling a total of 8 times), my only option is to either cancel the order, or accept the order and remove cheese from my item. read more

I created a take out order online at 2:30 to be picked up at 3:30. When I opened my food after a 3-minute drive home, the guacamole was brown, there was little to no chicken (having ordered double chicken), there was cheese on top which I didn't order that had melted, and the entire bowl was cold because they had clearly made it when the order came in an hour before... I looked at the receipt to reaffirm I had the right order, promise time, and selections, and the receipt reflected how the order was submitted. I have been going to this Chipolte for a couple weeks on Friday afternoon about 3:30. At the time I go, there is hardly anyone there and the lie is short. The staff literally will not look at you as they walk around pretending they are busy in hopes of someone else stepping up to help me. Smallest portions you'll ever get at a chipotle! Side of queso is less than half filled every time. Bowls are about 1/4 filled. Every burrito I've had from here has about 1/2 of tortilla left over. Have gone here a couple times thinking it was just maybe bad luck that day with the small portions, but I have yet to get a decent portion. Lots of pick up orders are an extra 10-15 min wait from when pick up time said it was ready. read more

I come to this location frequently - and often with a larger group of people. The staff is always friendly and nice. The manager often gives us a free bag of chips or drink. The food is always excellent - it's a very consistent location. I have terrible food allergies and I've been to other locations where I've had trouble due to cross-contamination with allergens. I've NEVER had that problem here! My only complaint is that it's usually very cold in the seating area. I know it gets hot in the kitchen but maybe they need to control the temperature of the kitchen on a different zone (with the thermostat) than the seating area. read more

Every time I go very friendly workers and they always have a smile on there face. The food is really good. The only thing is if you go there for dinner you end up waiting in a 20 minute line. Other than that the one is Reading has been one of the best chipotles I have been to employee wise. I would suggest going here over Woburn. read more

I only just started to visit Chipotle locations and have been pleasantly surprised at the quality and freshness of the food. Walking into a Chipotle location requires a little advance work as its go time once you reach the counter. There are only a handful of options so its not that difficult but the staff and your fellow customers treat the ordering process as quick, quick and move along. The good is once you know what you like, future visits are a breeze and "order to pay" wil take maybe 20-30 seconds. The bowls with rice, veggie, beans, salsa and other choices are very good, the wraps also good but I prefer the bowl/salad choices. chips are great but add calories, ditto for some of their ingredients but easy enough to steer clear to get something heathly and tasty. Staff very responsive, food fresh and they offer scoopfuls of whatever you request. Seating is ok, steel tables and lighting just ok. Makes you stay long enough to eat. Good for quick custom texmex. Certainly a food fast cafeteria type place . read more

Nice! A great place for a quick bite. Good prices, but make sure you load up that burrito good. Run by friendly friends. To mix things up, try getting a double wrap. I like to see how large I can make my burrito. It's a fun challenge for the employee and me. The people that work here seriously need a lesson in customer service. I hardly go to Chipotle, but I decided to stop into this one while passing by. I wasn't aware that I was supposed to order online first, so when I walked in I was greeted by five or so employees standing around doing nothing. One asked me if I was picking up something, I said no, then was told that I needed to leave. I asked if I could place my order some food, they told me no that I had to leave and place an order through the app. I asked if I could just order it and wait outside, they said no, and the kid was extremely rude and made some remark about how they were "too busy" to begin making an order now anyway, my only option was to order through the app. So I go in my car, start ordering online, and the next available time for pick up was over an hour later. These employees were standing around doing nothing, I don't see what the problem was with quickly tossing a burrito together... I ended up ordering at Chili's across the street and got food in 20 minutes. Chipotle is supposed to be a place to quickly grab food, this one can't seem to do that. read more

I order from chipotle quiet often and this time was something I haven't experienced before. The guacamole was completely rotten!!!!!! The smell, taste and color was awful! Blows my mind that this restaurant would serve such terrible quality food! We had ordered guacamole on all of bowls, burrito, and gotten a side of chips and guac (which they just wrote on the paper receipt "sorry no chips". I called for a refund right away as we had to throw away all of our food because of the spoiled guacamole. The girl said she needed to send to corporate in order to give me a refund and would take 2-3days. Still nothing no refund and they didn't even apologize for this and tried to justify that the guacamole was good. Anyone that tasted that could tell that guacamole was beyond rotten. This is ridiculous that I paid for all of this food that had to go in the trash and now I have to chase down a refund! I have not been to chipotle in over a year so I came to this one to get a queserito. I ordered my queserito and the worker with the buzz cut and the glasses said no because the line was too long.. I turned around baffled that there were TWO people behind me. She gave me 1/8 of a teaspoon of guacamole and my chips tasted like salt on cardboard. In other words, never come here it was purgatory. I like Chipotle quite a bit and I'm writing this review, not to be overly critical, but to alert management to the issues they have at this store because I want it to thrive. The food is still good....what is sub-par at the Reading, MA location is the overall experience. For instance, I recently patronized the store with my wife and two kids, and we decided to dine in. The dining area was DISGUSTING! No tables were clean, there was food all over the floor and chairs, the soda machine was gross, the trash bins were overflowing, and the cutlery station was nearly empty. What drove me nuts about all of this was that the store was not busy! Five employees were standing behind the counter chatting with each other, checking their phones, etc. I intended to alert the manager while we were there, but couldn't identify anyone that wasn't a junior employee. Another issue that bothers me quite a bit at this location is the ordering line. Several times I have gone there to place a takeout order for my family. It is incredibly confusing and frustrating to place the order. I typically have to walk back and forth down the line for each of my family members' orders and then when I get to the check-out person they're typically confused on what I actually ordered. I've been in other Chipotle locations and this has never been an issue. To me, this is an employee training issue. Build a better process; train them to ask the right questions and to be customer friendly. Tell them to leave their phones in back. read more

I've been here a number of times since it opened. It's just like any other chipotle (delicious). The service is noticeably above average for a chipotle and the line isn't usually out the door. The only complaint I do have is that the portions seem to be a lot smaller than that of most other chipotles. If this improves over time I'll come back and give them the 5/5 stars that they are so close to earning from me :) read more

I come to this location sometimes and whenever I do the food is actually really good and usually I get good service from most of the people there but the only thing that kept me from putting the fifth star is that the last few times I went to this location there were two very young girls working the counter where all the toppings are (the girls looked to be about 15 or 16) and each time they took my order the last few times I was there they'd give me weird/dirty looks as I'd be telling them what I wanted on my burrito and they'd repeatedly look at eachother with strange looks and then they'd look at me again like I had 3 heads or something.. and then one of them gave me attitude and rolled her eyes at me last time I was there when I asked for my burrito to be double wrapped but it's not my fault it ripped when they made it.. maybe they didn't properly get trained to deal with customers but besides that everything else is good read more

I probably won't go back. I was so excited about having a Chipolte near me.. Despite all of the problems they have had in the last year. I ordered Guacamole and chips. I was told the guacamole wasn't ready. It would be five minutes. After about 10 minutes somebody from the back came out and said it would be another 20 minutes. I am a little perplexed about what takes 20 minutes to make Gaucemole and why was I waiting when they knew it wasn't going be ready for 30 minutes. Poor customer service is all I can say. I think this location is particularly better than some of the others that I have been to. The food is always fresh and the service is speedy and efficient. I am mainly posting because I saw a very upsetting site the last time I was there. The staff was being scolded, condescendingly may I add in front of the customers. Even if the employees are slipping up you do not berate and belittle them in front of your customers. Unacceptable. The poor young lady sprinkling the cheese on my burrito bowl had either the head cook or the assistant manager standing two inches from her face barking at her about wearing gloves at all times (she and all the staff did indeed have gloves on when I was there) and to get the hotel trays in. This was the third time he yelled about it only now standing over her. Whether she is wrong is not of concern. It is how she was treated and humiliated in front of us onlookers just trying to get their dinner. I felt so bad for her and the other staff looked on awkwardly like it was a regular occurrence. I have been there when the manager has been there and have even told him how much I like coming there because the staff is so friendly (especially the blonde young lady). Hope he sees this so he knows there was certain staff member on the evening shift on 4/30/18 who in my opinion, behaved like a tyrant. As someone who is a manager and in customer service, there are better ways to critique your staff respectfully and out of the customers' view. This will not deter me from coming to this location. I simply hope whoever is in charge sees this and has a talk with that young man and encourages him to apologize to the 3 young counter staff members. read more
