I've never waited a solid 40 minutes to order and pay for Chipotle, but that's what you should expect at this location. There was a small line when we arrived one evening, but it was nothing out of the ordinary. However, there were no processes in place for making the bowls or paying, so the experience was a circus. When we were finally ready to pay, we had to wait a few minutes for someone to come back to the register. There were plenty of people working, so it's just poorly run. When we arrived, every single table was dirty and had garbage on it. When my husband asked an employee to clean the table, they reluctantly grabbed a dirty rag and just wiped all the leftover food on the floor. No sanitizer spray or anything. Then he only cleaned two tables and went back to the kitchen. My daughter hardly got any chicken in her bowl and they were out of guacamole, veggies were gone and every meat except chicken and steak, and cheese. We arrived around 6 o'clock, and although there was a steady line, it was not extremely busy. Definitely will not be back. I don't like Paying $10 per person for a dirty place with small portions and an unhappy staff. Unfortunately, this seems to be a trend with every chipotle. Still by far the worst chipotle I've ever been to. They never have anything ready by the time they open (even after an hour of opening, too) I came in about 30 minutes after opening and they don't have anything ready to serve. Half their proteins are missing, none of their toppings are out as well. Not the first time I've had an issue at this chipotle. Every time I come, there is always more than 2 things missing! Management needs to retrain their employees. Luckily, they're a well known chain and everyone loves chipotle.. so I don't think this location is ever leaving.. sadly. Holy sh!t DO NOT GO HERE! This was, hands down, the worst Chipotle I've ever been to. It was disgustingly filthy! The floors, the tables, and most importantly, the cooking area. We will be shocked if we don't get sick. The food was all dried out, like it was sitting there a while; the workers were COMPLETELY miserable. One guy was eating while waiting on us; there were no napkins. When I asked one of the employees for napkins, he handed me a couple but never refilled the napkin area. When I asked for two sprites the guy at the register seemed super annoyed and was throwing food around. They clearly don't care whatsoever. And I don't wven wanna hear from the manager. This location is a real S hole. It's always out of ingredients like Chips AND Cheese. The Rice is undercooked 99.9% of the time. Oh and the Fajita Veggies are raw. I use the app to order thinking it'd be easier but it causes a headache. Half of the time it's not ready. And I can guarantee that the order is incorrect EVERY SINGLE TIME. If you don't mind eating something you didn't order, use the app otherwise you need to go in person to watch what the blockhead employee is putting together for you. The last time I ordered from here, I ordered "Extra Cheese" on my Burrito Bowl because they never give enough. There was THREE cups of Cheese piled on top. I wish I took a picture, it was hilarious. No wonder they run out of Cheese. At first I was excited about the overload of dairy, then I started to feel sick halfway through my Bowl and had to throw it away. What a waste. It must be funny to the Netown Trust Fund kids working this location to constantly F up customer's orders. Management is obviously incompetent. Tonight I ordered a simple Burrito Bowl... Chicken, White Rice, Black Beans, Lettuce, Cheese, Tomatillo Salsa and Guacamole. What I received was Black Beans and Pinto Beans plus Steak and either Shredded Beef or Pork. It was so wet, it leaked through the bag, and most importantly it was not edible. I thought the Dtown location sucked but this is worse. I went in to a decent line thinking I would get my food in like 10 mins, it took 25 mins just to get through the line because only one person was giving the food while another was just sitting back watching, there was no chicken, no ice, no chips, and one of the coca dispensers at the fountain was just pouring water. Last night my Wife and myself went to this Chipotle for dinner at 5pm. There was no line and only about 3 or 4 of all the tables had customers. All of the empty tables were very filthy and needed cleaning. The area where they keep napkins sauces was dirty with all of the napkin holder dispensers being totally empty. The front counter where you pay for the meal was also very dirty. None of the employees made eye contact with any of the customers, and I got the feeling that no management was present. My Wife and I decided not to eat there. Given the location in Newtown PA, this could be such a great place to eat, but the last few times I went there, the experience was very poor. The "New & Improved" Village @ Newtown is slowly getting up to speed and opening the many restaurants that suddenly find this community simply irresistibly. Chipotle Mexican Grill is the latest to have its grand opening in the new complex across from McCaffrey's Supermarket. Luckily the parking lot was completed on time, too, so there is plenty of parking available for it now, and hopefully when the other five kitchens are open for business at the same time. Walking in, the room is smaller than anticipated, with several high communal tables for people to eat & run. It wasn't so busy when I was there around 3:30. The assembly line concept seemed efficient, but I was causing a slowdown by asking too many questions. I'm generally not a fan of this approach to dining, so I needed instruction on some of the basics. In the end, a carne asada burrito was delivered to me at the end of the line - stuffed with brown rice, pinto beans, carne asada, queso, avocado and a few other things. It was stuffed to the gills with sour cream on the side. I took it home somewhat concerned the whole thing would explode, it was packed so tight! It was a tasty package with so many things going on that it all blended together in my mouth. Definitely a four napkin meal. I enjoyed it, although I could only finish half. As two meals the $11 tag seemed quite reasonable. I can see what people like about Chipotle. It uses fresh ingredients, is basically healthy with a little self control, and you can fit it into a lunch hour. But, if authenticity in Mexican cuisine is paramount for you, this burrito was no where near as delicious as can be found in any good Casa Mexicana elsewhere in Bucks and Montgomery Counties, or across the river in Trenton. Inedible! My (take out) Bowl was inedible, chips, too. Chips Very Stale, no crunch at all. I asked for Pinto beans, I got Refried beans (pile of Mush!). The Chicken was very Sparse. The Kicker was the brown rice. It wasn't fully cooked. Every bite was crunchy and I almost broke a tooth. My son's bowl was equally Poor. We ended up throwing them out. I ordered this bowl and it came half way empty. The employee was really outrageously RUDE. They called my friends ghetto if you get the queso , white trash, and commenting on every single thing we picked out. The black dude (not to be racist) he was looking at us for like 10 minutes and did not come up to us to take our order. i'm a little plus size and when i got the extra chicken, he walked away and told his friend that im fat , like i'm not there,, RUDEE!!!. This location is a complete disaster. It's chronically understaffed, poorly managed and I've never seen an employee who looks to be over the age of 19. As a result, the place is always out of ingredients and filthy, the rice is always undercooked, the guac is brown, and yet there are with long lines. My family and I love Chipotle, we were so excited to finally have one in Newtown. But I have to say we gave this about 5 tries. The only way our orders were remotely ok is if you go to location and watch them literally not put what you ask for on your order and correct them. If you order through any other method it will be wrong, short on meat, you name it. But they now have a sign on the window indicating that online order is the only method they are accepting. YOU CANT ORDER IN PERSON, WHAT? This is the worst location in the company I have been to. Whats worse is when trying to get an order fixed the "manage" started rattling off excuses claiming this location to be busier than neshaminy. Sorry but that couldnt be further from the truth. Sorry but no one wants to hear your icscuses as to why you and your staff cannot fill a simple order correctly. Make good on your products and service. We will not ever use this location again.
