Careful as you approach Sophia Bella on Street Road Southbound, as you will drive past their small parking lot curbcut before you know it, and be forced to drive around the block to get back to the entrance of this Italian kitchen in Bensalem, PA. Worse, you might decide to just drive on, and miss a straight up very good meal. There are a few small dining areas in the building in addition to a large back kitchen and prepping/cashier zone up front. Attractively utilitarian, all. Room to stand and wait for your order without feeling cramped, as I was doing as my two hot sandwiches were working. These were taken to go, so when I opened the brown bag at home, I found neatly packaged long torpedo sammies (Boardwalk Sweet Sausage, Pepper and Onion/Eggplant Parm) in separate recyclable styro containers. Naturally, the enclosed bread absorbed some condensation so they were no longer dry and a crunchy bite, but were still delicious. Quality Italian sausage complemented well with the sweet and savory sauteed veggies. Eggplant breaded lightly and pan fried in extra virgin before placed in the roll with mozza and tomato sauce on top, and baked in the pizza oven until all melted into a savory layered tasty ensemble. I bought two to share, and everyone was happy, even the next day when reheated. Service was friendly and casual, and prices reminiscent of pre-pandemic days. Some of the best pizza I have ever had. Recently moved to the area, while having my house built, they gave me a coupon for a free medium plain pizza. I figured why mot try it & also ordered a cheesesteak. The pizza was amazing, cooked perfectly not under or over done & the crust was nice and crispy. Their pizza is on the thinner side. The cheesesteak was packed with meat & very tasty. I decided to try and order again, I was just as pleased. This time I ordered cheese fries along with a large pie. I highly recommend them, they do take out, delivery and you can even dine in. One of the worst restaurants in PA. My friends and I visited Sofia Bella's last weekend and had the worst experience. We ordered the paneer pizza and egg burji. The paneer pizza was tasteless. The sauce was bland. The paneer was cut into the smallest cubes ever and crust was thick. The egg burji was dry with no spices. I had the day off for Veterans Day, so I asked my wife if she wanted to go out to lunch. She said she would! I was in the mood for a meatball parmigiana and Sofiabella Pizzeria was in the area where we needed to go so this was the choice. Turned out to be a good one. A pizzeria with a few booths and a bunch of tables and chairs with TVs on the wall and a plentiful menu, SP offered a lot of good food at reasonable prices. In these COVID-19 times, signage wanted everyone to wear masks and staff wore their own regularly. Hand sanitizer was provided if asked. We had mozzarella sticks which were nice and crunchy, a homemade chicken noodle soup, house salad, and I had a meatball parmigiana hoagie. The hoagie was nicely crisped in the oven and the sauce was tasty. The meatballs were plentiful but not homemade. Additionally, we brought home a works pizza and although it's not our favorite pizza, it certainly was well made with a thin crust. I wasn't a fan to see a scrolling pizza oven, but it did taste good. Overall, we had a fine meal, and they have plenty of choices on the menu to choose from. I'd like to try the calzone or Stromboli someday. Service was very accommodating and friendly. $41.50 for everything, not including tip. read more

3.5 stars. This is my husband's and my favorite pizza place. It's down the street from our house, they have great Sicilian pizza, and it's fresh. However, today we didn't like our experience. We were so excited for pizza after not having it for soooo long. So we decided to order.. Our pizzas (2 pizzas) were cold, not hot like the box stated "fresh hot pizza". The meat had a good taste and the fried onions added a nice flavor. It had a good amount of cheese and green peppers but both needed a much more even distribution. If ever I want to order pizza, this is my #1 pick. For the past 4 years or so, I've supposed Sofiabella. My last two orders were...disappointing. This is my family's GO TO Pizzeria spot. I order from here usually through Grubhub or Ubereats to be delivered. And if I have time I would order for pickup. Not only the food is delicious, it's hot and fresh. I had a wonderful customer service today and that makes me love this place even more. My driver delivered my food and right off the bat he said he didn't see the milkshake that I had order on the receipt, so he will run back to grab it for me. And for my inconvenience he will get me a drink or soda and asked what I like. It caught me by surprised even though I ordered off ubereats it is delivered by their own employee. Usually other places would just be like "we'll refund you or credit you for next time". He came back with my shake and soda as promised within the timeframe. I tipped extra and he didn't he want it but I insist. Great guy! My kids loves the Hawaiian pizza, and the enormous Shakes. Food was very mediocre. Cheese pizza was quite basic with a very sweet sauce. Order was missing one of our two pizzas. Mozzarella garlic bread was ordered but Masalla garlic bread was provided instead. (Why is this even on the menu???) It was not good at all. Wings were pretty good. One of our favorite pizza joints around. Very clean. Staff is friendly and the pizza is always good. We've tried most of the gourmet pizzas and haven't had a bad one yet. Regular pie is just as good. I have been ordering from here for about 5/6 years now but no longer after today. I placed an order when the business opened and called politely when the order had not arrived. The women who answered informed me the driver was out with my order. Another 30 mins went by and I called to check in again. She again informed me that the driver just left with my order that there was a mix up. About 10 mins goes by and she then called me back from her cellphone informing she was incorrect and the driver was just now leaving with my order and it would be there in 5 mins. Now another 20mins go by and still have yet to have my order. I called to speak to a manger and request my order be canceled since it has now been 2 hours. The driver was never informed my order was canceled and knocked with food in hand. I informed him I had canceled the order.
